Our friends highly recommended this DJ and when we met with him we just loved him! He was easy to work with, he was very responsive, his pricing was affordable, and he made sure to make our day exactly what we wanted it to be. He gave us feedback on our music selection, on the timing of our professional, and even did a few extra things like sound bites. He truly loves his job, he even gets out there and sings along, he knows how to play to to crowd and felt the vibe of our party and kept the party moving. We had SO many people tell us how much our DJ rocked and our dance floor was always packed! He is SUCH a personable guy that you feel like you have a new close friend in DJ Dan. Rockin DJ!!

When I first got engaged, I was instantly thrown into a whirlpool of planning. So many things to do and so many vendors to hire. Having a kick butt DJ was one of the most important things I just knew I had to have. My entire family is musical and I knew that I wanted to impress them. And I wanted to make sure that everyone, old and young, had a great time and felt comfortable on the dance floor. I met DJ Daniel one night while I was out with my sister and a few friends; he was playing a gig at Brick Alley, a bar close to my house. The night was awesome! We all had such a great time, and we danced and sang the night away. I immediately thought that I should see if he does weddings. We got a chance to talk for just a bit, and he gave me his contact info. I called him the next day and he responded immediately. He said that he does weddings and would like a chance to sit down with me and show me what he does. I agreed and met him later that day. He showed up looking so professional – slacks, button down, much different than he had been the night before at the bar. I was immediately impressed as first impressions are big with me especially considering I am an attorney and feel first impressions go a long way! Once I sat down with DJ Daniel, I knew he was going to be good. He showed me his entire portfolio – something he clearly took pride in. He explained all of his services and also took me through the night, so to speak, with what he would do and suggested numerous songs for the various dances and “moments” throughout the night. I was amazed and pretty sure I had found my DJ. However, I thought I better go check out one more just to make sure. Later that afternoon, I met another DJ who works with a large company here in San Diego. Let me just say – what a disappointment. He had nothing to say and the meeting lasted less than 5 minutes. I left the second meeting and instantly called DJ Daniel to tell him I wanted to hire him. He agreed and I am so happy he did. Planning the various songs, speeches, and other things a DJ must deal with was so easy with DJ Daniel’s help. He sure does know his music!! He helped with the song choices and really just made the process so easy. On the big day, DJ Daniel was one of the first vendors to arrive. He was dressed to impress and immediately began to get to work. He played some great music and I don’t think anyone – no matter what age – did not get on that dance floor. He kept it fun and light – exactly as I had requested. He really made the night unforgettable and kept the dance floor packed all night long. I would recommend DJ Daniel for any kind of function! He was fantastic and truly a pleasure to work with. I know he will be at my next party and every anniversary to come!! Thanks DJ Daniel!!!

When we wanted to do a meet & greet with Daniel, we decided it would be best for all of us to meet in the middle (we are in OC and he is in San Diego). So we decided to meet in Carlsbad. We drive 40 minutes to Carlsbad only to be STOOD UP by DJ Daniel. He claims he's sorry and he forgot. Stupidly, we still hire him because he's all we can afford.
Our reception was ok, I'd give it a C-. He played some good songs, but none of the songs we specifically asked for. He says his equipment can't play MP3's. That's ludicrous, you're a DJ, you should be working off a digital turntable and a laptop.
The worst though, was that during our first dance, last dance and father/daughter, mother/son dances (you know, all the sentimental dances), he wouldn't shut up. He kept interjecting things like "Ohhhh yeahh" and "Niiiiiice" and "All riiight!!!" I wanted to turn to him and ask him to shut up and let the dances be special. I was hoping nobody heard or noticed him doing that, but they did.
