Amazing experience on a perfect day

We were supposed to get married in October 2020 but rescheduled due to the pandemic, and during this process Mike was supportive and amazing. He was responsive during the process and addressed all of our questions professionally and quickly. The day of, Jason and Mike knew where to go and which shots to get. As a plus size LBGTQ couple, we were naturally worried but Mike did an amazing job with our anxiety around a camera! We got our photos back quicker than we imagined and they are AMAZING! I am not someone who likes to take pictures of myself but I am so glad Mike and Jason knew how to capture the magic of the day.
I can't wait to share our pictures with our friends and family and to have these forever. I am so grateful that I hired Derby Studios for our wedding, and highly recommend!

I don’t even know where to begin or how to even start. Mike is amazing, kind, and the sweetest! He does such a wonderful job! When we were looking for a photographer it was the hardest part of wedding planning. I was having a hard time finding one. Then I remembered back to when my older sister got married about 16 years ago. Mike actually photographed her wedding too. I remember as if it were yesterday how beautiful her photos came out. I reached out to my mom to find out who the photographer was and it was Mike. I google search and found he still did photography. I was ecstatic! I reached out to him and we booked him. I was so excited I found someone I knew and had already fallen in love with his photography. We got our engagement photos with him which came out perfect. We were ready to have our wedding and couldn’t wait! Then Covid hit…we had to postpone our wedding 3 times. Our venue recommended what everyone else did, exchange vows on our original date and having our big celebration later. So we did and mike was there to capture those vows for us. We then had our big day (10/9/21). It was such an amazing day! We got our wedding photos back already and I cannot even pick out my favorite one because they all are my favorite! I wish i could share all of them with you! Everyone mentions how beautiful the photos came out and they truly did! I cannot recommend mike enough! You will not be disappointed. Every time I look at the photos I fall in love with them all over again. I could go on and on but I highly recommend Mike to capture your moments, whether it be wedding, family, baby announcements, you name it. You will not be disappointed!

Mike and his assistant were an amazing team and captured each moment of our wedding so perfectly. One thing I have to say about Mike, is that he has a way of putting everyone at ease. I had quite a few camera shy people in my wedding party and he really knew how to make everyone feel comfortable and make them laugh which made for really great photos! The other thing is that the turnaround time was much faster than I had anticipated. Overall great experience and would recommend to any friends and family.

I couldn’t have been happier with my wedding photos. Every moment was captured and I’m so happy to have all the special moments of the day. Mike and his partner were quick with photos and we got to enjoy our wedding fully, even cocktail hour. With that said I couldn’t believe how many pictures we got back! Mike takes any suggestions, although he doesn’t really need them because he knows what he is doing! I would trust him over and over again with my wedding photos.
