It was a pleasure to have Denis photograph our wedding. Denis is a true gentleman who has a huge heart. No matter how hard you try, you won’t find another photographer who puts as much effort into making his clients happy with the final product. Additionally, Denis pays close attention to every single detail to give you the best possible experience. Despite doing 5 different celebrations for our combined Sikh-Catholic wedding (Mendhi, Jaggo, Bharat, Catholic Ceremony, and the Reception) in a span of 4 days in addition to doing an earlier proposal and engagement session, Denis listened to our every need and went above and beyond expectations. He stood in the rain on a hot and humid July day during our wedding and he stood out on a cold, snowy December night to photograph our proposal. His photos are so good that I have metal prints of them all around my house. His work with light and reflection shots is unparalleled and he has an amazing talent to get candid shots that bring back warm memories and nostalgia. Every time I look at his photos, I think back to my wedding. His work is as good as his heart.

We love Denis so much. He made our day incredible. Got us some really fantastic, unique shots. Even some we could preview and share before our proofs were ready. He’s patient, flexible, and has great energy. He gave us suggestions on where to shoot and scouted places out.

What can I say about Denis that hasn't already been said by many others. If we could give him 20 stars we would! Denis and his co-photographer were friendly, professional and timely. They were like ninjas at our wedding moving stealthily about, capturing moments that we hadn't even seen. They weren't intrusive or pushy as some photogs can be. Our portraits weren't too "posed" or contrived, he allowed us to be ourselves and captured the essence of who we are as a couple. The quality of the pictures is superb, we couldn't have asked for anything more. We HIGHLY recommend Denis...do yourselves a favor--look no further!! Simply amazing!

Where to start! Denis is thoughtful, thorough, creative, and simply a genius at not only capturing a beautiful shot, but the emotions of the moment. When we were looking at photographers, many of them had great stills/planned shots but when it came to the reception, they looked exactly like they were off an iPhone. Not at all like this with Denis. Every picture Denis takes is done with intention and he has an incredible way of getting all the sentiments that are behind the photo. He's also very personable, makes you feel comfortable (important for an un-photogenic bride like myself!), and was very flexible in where we would meet/the planning of the photoshoots. This was great as my husband and I chose NOT to do a first look - Denis rolled with this (as it really tightened of the time frame he had to get everything done) and still got beautiful and unique photos - all in a venue he had never shot in before. Our friends worked with Denis for their wedding in NYC and Denis traveled all the way to Maryland at a very reasonable cost to do ours! We are so glad we were connected to Denis as we have heartfelt and gorgeous photos remember a day that honestly ended up being a complete blur to us. Without these photos, we would have missed so many details! Denis is one of the most talented photographers we have ever met and an absolute pleasure to work with. The planning process was very simple and he was always responsive to our emails and calls. The day of our wedding was seamless - Denis was fully in control when we needed him to be (pre-wedding photo shoot with us, bridal party and family pictures at the venue) and in total stealth mode when the main events were happening (ceremony, speeches, reception). The photos that came back were nothing short of spectacular. They now occupy a permanent spot as our TV & computer screensaver...we see them every day and constantly marvel at how perfectly he captured the spirit of our day. His use of lighting, his approach to the angles and framing, his action and formal portrait shots, and the brilliant use of each Manhattan setting (we photographed at Grand Central, Central Park and The Harold Pratt House) truly demonstrate his passion and love for what he does and his range and attention to detail.

Denis has been such a joy to work with. We chose our venue based on his photos of past weddings there, and we were thrilled when he responded with in an hour of our initial inquiry. His style is journalistic and realistic--when I look at his photos, they don't look at all staged or artificial. His price is also very reasonable (especially for Manhattan!) and he has several packages that all include engagement photo shoot sessions and albums of varying sizes and amounts.

Denis is amazing! When my husband and I were first looking at photographers’ galleries, Denis’ work caught our attention immediately. We are so thrilled he was our wedding photographer! Denis is a phenomenal photographer. We cannot thank him enough! My husband and I wanted classic photos that had just the right amount of creativity without being too edited. Denis’s work is perfect. He captures the entire day as it unfolds without ever intervening. His photos are timeless and absolutely beautiful.

My husband and I do not love being photographed. So, it was great that we started with an engagement session. Denis met us in central park for engagement photos, and it was the perfect way to get to know him before our wedding day. We insisted on bringing our small dog, and he was completely accommodating and went above and beyond to capture the photos we requested.

As a type A bride with no wedding planner, I was very concerned about the wedding day timeline. I envisioned taking photos in several locations with an entire wedding party from out of state, but I did not want to over schedule everyone. A week before the wedding, Denis reviewed my timeline, spent over an hour on the phone with me, and made suggestions to help me feel completely confident that he would cover my wish list without having the day feel too crazy. So helpful!

In the end, Denis also suggested taking photos in locations near our venue that I didn’t even know existed. He did his research and encouraged us to take additional photos for just a few more minutes before it started raining between the ceremony and reception. The photos are amazing, and I will cherish them forever!

Denis is highly professional and has an exceptionally keen eye for photography. He was punctual at our first meeting and came well prepared with beautiful samples from his portfolio and detailed answers to all our questions. What separates Denis from the rest is that he not only listened to what we had planned and wanted, he also took initiative to help us polish our agenda for the best quality pictures and a smooth wedding. We knew he was the right one for the job. Leading up to our wedding day, he touched base regularly to keep us apprised and to learn of anything we wanted to change. On the day of our wedding, he and the 2nd photographer arrived early and wasted no time taking pictures. Despite the hectic schedule, they remained organized and were able to capture all the photos we wanted with some allowable time for extras. Immediately the next day we received beautiful "sneak peaks" that left us wanting more! We finally received our pictures a few days before the promised deadline, and they were absolutely perfect!! There were so many shots of my fiancé tearing, and I can clearly see the tear drops!! Wedding planning is undoubtedly an extremely stressful time but with Denis, the entire process felt seamless and stress-free. His professionalism, expertise, creativity, and enthusiasm are unparalleled, and we would highly recommend him to any couple looking to capture the most important day in their lives!

Long version: We booked Denis about 11 months ahead of time for our 9/9/17 wedding, along with an engagement shoot that we planned to schedule in the Spring of '17 when the weather was warmer (we signed the contract on 10/31/16). Three days after we booked him, I found out I had stage 3 cancer and would have to go through chemo, surgery, and radiation during the year leading up to our wedding. Since I already had my dress, we decided to scramble and pull together a wedding photoshoot so that we could have pictures before who-knows-what happened. So, we had the good fortune to have Denis take our wedding photos twice!

Denis made himself available on a Sunday with only 2 weeks’ notice to take our pre-chemo photos. He wore several layers of clothes so we could take pictures in the park on a 40 degree day in November. We were shivering, but the images were gorgeous. Denis plays with reflections, and depth, and light resulting in magazine-worthy shots.

Leading up to the wedding day, he was communicative. We had a shot list and timeline worked out ahead of time, which he tailored for us to make sure we got maximum party time, instead of spending the entire cocktail hour taking photos.

His style is so natural. The photos are gorgeous. A good mix of those beautiful, perfect, frame-ready shots, and candidly capturing moments throughout the day. He went above and beyond to get "that" shot. He's truly an artist, but also incredibly professional and caring. We couldn't be happier with him and his work.
