Enter Heather. She came recommended by our photographer team, and after our initial interview with her, I had a really good feeling. Her background at the esteemed Beverly Hills Hotel spoke for itself, and she came armed with a litany of questions and suggestions. The proposal and contract that she sent over was the kicker for me. Both documents were intensely thorough, to the degree that I looked them through and thought, here is a woman who has thought of everything. That was exactly the kind of person who I wanted planning our wedding, so we took a leap of faith and signed her on.
Now that we're on the other side of the wedding, I'm pleased to say that I was spot on. Heather is absolutely the person you want as your wedding planner. She is diligent, experienced, professional, and fastidious. No detail was too small for her to notice, or too insignificant not to warrant a follow-up. She maintained painstakingly accurate records throughout the entire planning process and juggled all of the communication with our vendors, and all the while she kept us apprised of everything. She used a shared live spreadsheet as our wedding organizer, allowing my now-husband and I to track every change and reference every different aspect of the wedding in one place. It was incredibly useful, and at a certain point of the wedding planning process, I was checking on it at least once a day.
We signed Heather on in April 2024, when we only had a venue and a photographer. Our wedding was a short 5 months later, and while we found all of the vendors ourselves, the day itself came together largely due to Heather's organizational efforts. We faced several tricky issues, such as our venue coordinator not being particularly responsive, but with Heather there to smooth things over, the issues never became real problems. We had an absolutely wonderful wedding day, and while there are a few small things that I'd change if I could do it all over again, I'd book Heather again in a heartbeat. She's an absolute rockstar, and I couldn't give her a higher recommendation.

Hiring Delmar Events was the best decision!!
When we met Heather we only had our venue, and that was it. She guided us through selecting all the vendors, reading through their contracts, and making sure everything was locking in ahead of time. She is extremely organized and detail-oriented; we had regular check-ins and worked out of a massive spreadsheet. Heather is great about pacing the decision-making so that it's not overwhelming (I get decision fatigue easily, so this was huge for me).
Our wedding went off without a hitch. All the vendors were coordinated flawlessly, guests + wedding party were in the right places at the right times, and we just got to enjoy our wedding. Honestly, if something went wrong, we had no idea, because it wasn't our problem.
We interviewed multiple planners (some who wanted to charge double the money for less than what we got with Delmar Events), and Heather was a clear standout. I highly recommend you do the same!

I know we're not the only ones, but our wedding was impacted by COVID-19. We were originally set to get married on November 7, 2020 and we had booked a venue, chosen our caterer, secured a photographer, and booked a DJ. Our plans changed and we had to cancel everything. It was upsetting for my wife and I and we were left scrambling to find a new wedding venue, coordinate existing and new vendors, and plan a wedding from scratch, for a second time.
We needed help.. It's overwhelming enough to plan a wedding once.. but twice (and almost three times)...we needed help. And we are so glad we called Heather.
Heather is the nicest, most thoughtful, creative and organized wedding planner you can find out there.. we are sure of it. She worked with us to find the perfect venue, she kept us organized along the way, and through it all, she kept an incredible attitude. Best Money Ever Spent
We hired Heather for day-of coordinator services, and it was the single best decision we made in planning our wedding. I was initially skeptical of even needing a day-of wedding coordinator since we were doing the planning ourselves, but I’m happy to say from the other side of the wedding that we would have been *completely* lost without her, and our wedding wouldn’t have been nearly as outstanding as it was. We’d happily pay double to have her on our team again.
Heather makes “day-of” coordinating anything but day-of. Three months prior to our wedding date, she made herself available for any of our questions or needs. She was highly proactive in sending us reminders for things to get done and ideas for how to solve issues we were having but hadn’t even asked her about yet. I thought that since we were doing most of the planning and hiring of vendors ourselves, we had the brunt of the work on our shoulders. I now know how laughably naive I was. Heather’s meticulous organization helped us realize we hadn’t addressed at least half of the questions our event ultimately required answers to. If she hadn’t guided us through the process with her poignant checklists and spreadsheets, parts of our wedding simply would not have happened.
The event itself was perfect, Heather and her team were amazing! There were some curveballs thrown, but Heather had backup plans and contingencies for it all. She made it look easy, and it definitely wasn't.
Ultimately, we came away from the wedding feeling thankful. Thankful to Heather for getting us organized, for fighting for us like we were her own kin, and for making our dream wedding come true. We can't recommend her enough.
