    We worked with Jillian & Raele at Deborah Miller Catering, and we truly could not be happier with the service and the food that they provided.

    We came into an unfortunate conundrum, when our original wedding caterer cancelled about 4 months before our wedding. We reached out to Deborah Miller after finding them on the internet and were immediately impressed by their level of organization, professionalism and expertise. They worked within our budget and also created a menu to honor the menu we had originally planned for (which was slightly out of the ordinary for a wedding - Mexican cuisine).

    In terms of service leading up to our event, Jillian and Raele were consistently available and attended several meetings with us, including two meetings at our venue, our tasting and the visit to the party rental location to figure out what we needed, which i would have been completely lost doing alone. There were several moments when they stepped in and acted as co-planners for our event, going above and beyond what we expected of them, but we are SO grateful they did. They pointed out details we would not have noticed or accounted for, and they are true experts.

    On the night of our wedding, everything was seamless. Set up of all spaces was beautifully executed, exactly as we envisioned. The catering staff had to do a pretty major turnover of the main space, and I swear - I looked down for two minutes and it was done. I don't think guests even noticed the transition. The team was incredibly professional and available for our every need, and the food was spectacular. we have received numerous compliments on hors hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dessert, all of which was provided by DMC.

    I will also say, working with a slightly limited budget, Jillian and Raele were constantly thinking of creative ways to save without cutting any major corners. we greatly appreciated that. Would highly recommend hiring this group! We promise you will not be disappointed.

    We used Deborah Miller Catering for our small, private wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Jillian worked with us through email, phone call, and in person at our convenience. They were very accommodating with our menu choices and working with our limited time frame in the venue.
    Every course was delicious and their recommendation for serving family style worked perfectly with the type of wedding we wanted. The staff was professional and willing to help in any way they could (even moving furniture) and made sure every guest's glass was filled until the very end and we did not feel at all rushed.
    As for the food, I wouldn't change a thing to the menu. The chicken and waffles with the infused syrup was a clever take on a classic dish and the mac n cheese hors d'oeuvres was a favorite for the kids and adults. The salad trio was a perfect pick for a hot summer day, especially the compressed watermelon and feta. The cheese ravioli was a big hit - the sauce was creamy and the spring vegetables added crunch and flavor. The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. As for dessert, it was plated perfectly. The mini cupcakes with sprinkles were not only delicious but gorgeous to look at. And not a single truffle was leftover.
    I would highly recommend Deborah Miller catering for their professionalism, their experience, and of course the delicious food.

    Delicious, delicious, DELICIOUS food. We had a taco bar and everyone raved about it! Was also more budget-friendly but didnt taste it at ALL. The hors d'oeuvres were also so tasty!! Usually wedding food can be a tad bland, but not this, enjoyed every sip and bite! Their servers and bartenders were great too. We actually ran out of ice and some liquor that night and the bartenders were making runs to the grocery store and I had no idea, it was all done so seamlessly. PERFECT caterer!!

Deborah grew up with the sights and smells of food all around her. From her mother’s family dinners to her father’s greasy spoon restaurant in Manhattan, Deborah’s culinary enthusiasm began as a young child. She entered the kitchen at age 13, where she would wake up at 3:30am to work side by side with her dad at his busy luncheonette.

After high school, Deborah travelled throughout Europe, where she explored many different cuisines. It was there that she discovered her passion for combining and fusing interesting flavors. She graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and eventually took over her father’s coffee shop, transporting it into a local neighborhood staple for delicious, fresh, inspiring food.

Deborah Miller Catering & Events builds upon the roots and history of the past using personal recipes and handmade combinations to produce elegant yet playful food.

A mother of four adult sons, she lives with her husband and dog, Louie in Manhattan.

Lauren’s hometown is Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Lauren is a proud “Jersey” girl at the core and does not pump her own gas. Lauren has a BA in communications from Boston University and has spent the majority of her career at Deborah Miller Catering & Events; she became a partner in 2015. Prior to joining Deborah Miller Catering & Events, Lauren has always enjoyed working in hospitality, including her role as Director of Special Events at Sounds of Brazil in New York City and as Catering Manager at Foodie’s Catering in Long Beach Island, New Jersey.

There is nothing Lauren enjoys more than long days at the beach watching the sun rise over the ocean and set over the bay, followed by cocktails and a barbeque with family and friends.

Lauren currently resides in lower Manhattan with her four children, husband Paul, and magnificent dog Blu Storm.

Operations Director

Alexandra hails from the Hudson Valley, where she grew up horseback riding and cultivating a passion for her longtime hobbies of gardening and hiking. Alexandra holds a B.B.A. and M.B.A from Marist College, in addition to an Associates in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America. Over the past decade she has served in various culinary roles in New York, which include working at Union Square Events as a Private Chef, and most recently as Culinary Director at The Skylark, Abigail Kirsch’s premier rooftop venue in Manhattan’s Fashion District.

Tirelessly committed to her professional endeavors, Alexandra spends her free time traveling and working on building her botanical candle company. She currently lives in Dobbs Ferry with her partner and majestic dog, Siena.
