I love shooting weddings because I know that the images that I produce will be passed on for generations. This brings a great sense of responsibility and value to my work. Knowing that people will be looking at the images many decades from now and using them to tell the story of their families history brings me a special sense of pride.

I grew up in Alexandria, VA with my two younger sisters and younger brother. My first point-and-shoot film camera was given to me by my grandmother when I was very young, and I have been taking pictures ever since. When I was in high school, my dad, who was an editorial photographer in New York, encouraged me to take my first darkroom class. From there I developed a deep connection to visual art and photographics, and continued to learn as time went on.

If you are here because you are soon-to-be married, I want to say congratulations on the news of your engagement. This is a very exciting time in your life. My hope is that we will have the chance to work together in creating a beautiful collection of images; one that embodies the love and depth and spirit that the both of you will share on this very special day.
