The Dancing Fish Vineyards is a quiet, small farm and winery wedding venue with a beautifully renovated barn, patios, and vineyards on six acres in Freeland, Washington. Perfect for weddings and gatherings of up to 125 guests (https://www.dancingfishvineyards.com/weddings), this picturesque venue is nestled off of Newman Road in Freeland, Washington, just 10 miles from two ferry docks, linking us to the Seattle side of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Peninsula. Grocery stores, restaurants, and sleeping accommodations are all within a short drive.
The barn, with beautifully stained concrete floors and a ceiling that soars to 30 feet, boasts a fabulous chandelier, sound system, projector, and screen. Chairs and tables also come with your reservation. Our caterer's kitchen offers everything you need to prepare your dining fare. Place settings, linens, and more are available for rent from us or local rental agencies on the island. We have preferred vendor lists for caterers, florists, and much more with whom we work closely to allow for a seamless connection to align your event with your vision.
Events take place often during the year, but our favorite is weddings. We do not discriminate and are happy to work with everyone. Love is love, and at the Dancing Fish Vineyards, we do our best to make sure that your day of love is one you will remember fondly, always. Our property is perfect for weddings of all sizes, from 10-125, and we offer a variety of locations on the property for the ceremony, followed by a fun reception. Our Wedding Package is packed with ideas and is very reasonably priced.
Our staff is friendly and professional. Meet with our Event Coordinator and owner to fine-tune the details of your event, and when that time rolls around, you will feel like the Dancing Fish is your home and that we are family, with only the success of your event at heart.

December Wedding- Everything We Wanted
When my husband and I were searching for a wedding venue for our December wedding, we had specific criteria in mind:
- A homey, welcoming atmosphere with warm lighting.
- Accommodates a guest list below 100 people.

- Easy to work with and communicative staff.
We found everything we were looking for at Dancing Fish Vineyards! Linda, the event coordinator, and Erin, one of the owners, were incredibly helpful and patient as we made decisions throughout the planning process. They provided excellent recommendations for rentals, and their wine selection was a huge hit with our guests. When there were hiccups with the dishes, Linda went the extra mile to ensure everything went according to plan.
Our day-of coordinator, officiant, and the entire Dancing Fish team truly made our wedding everything we could have hoped for. They were able to flip the room from ceremony, to reception, to a dance floor in a matter of minutes. Nearly of all of our guests complimented the venue, and the friendliness of the staff. I am grateful for everyone there, and I highly recommend Dancing Fish for any event!

Dancing Fish Vineyards is easily one of our favorite venues on Whidbey. Located on a gorgeous hillside setting, their farmhouse, barn and vineyard are all perfectly constructed. The barn features a lovely back patio-- perfect for outdoor dinners in the summer, as well as a beautiful interior featuring a full kitchen, indoor bathrooms (a rare find at island venues) and a rustic event space that works equally well for an covered ceremony, cocktail hour space or dance floor. If you're looking for a rustic-chic venue on Whidbey, look no further!
Dancing Fish Farm has everything a couple could ask for. As a Whidbey Island Bridal Makeup Artist, I have enjoyed working with Dancing Fish Brides and their bridal parties. I feel really blessed to be a part of a winning vendor team, working with Nancy at her gorgeous wedding venue. It's such a great venue! When I am working on location at Dancing Fish, I find the Farm House to be ideal for the 'get ready'. It's so spacious, comfortable and the natural lighting coming in the southern windows creates the best lighting for makeup. This location really works well for the entire wedding party, you never have to leave the property! Couples arrive and can immediately begin living their dream!
I love this venue! So versatile and charming: the barn is beautiful with high ceilings and all wood interior and the kitchen will thrill your caterer. There are vineyards that make a great ceremony backdrop and are wonderful for photo opps. The loafing shed is the perfect place for cocktail hour, there's a fire pit and bocce ball and lots of room for lawn games. And let's not forget the winery and tasting room! Plus there's a guesthouse for getting ready and for a key guest to stay, and a nice lounge for the gents to get ready. The owners are so nice and accommodating - you should definitely check it out!
