Serendipity was an excellent wedding caterer. The food was family style, and absolutely incredible. We got so many compliments about the food from guests! The short rib in particular was fabulous!! All the details of the menu were so delicious, with local touches. Months later people are still telling us that it was the best wedding dinner they've ever had. I can't overstate how much we enjoyed working with Connor leading up to our wedding and then how blown away we were on the actual day! Connor patiently helped us identify our dream family style dinner party menu, communicated efficiently through the whole process, and checked in on us day-of. He was above and beyond the easiest part of our wedding planning journey.

Our guests, most of who either work in restaurants or own them, are still talking about the food. The service was impeccable - present but also understated. It was like food kept appearing out of nowhere! The gals working our wedding checked in on us, made sure I ate, and in general were lovely people.

Lastly - the cost to value was a pleasant surprise in the deep sea of wedding expenses. No price gouging here and honestly Connor - charge more! We would choose Serendipity over and over again.

Natalie and Serendipity Catering catered our wedding at the Whidbey Island Wayfarer on 7/23/21. Natalie was a dream to work with. She not only rescheduled our date after a covid postponement in 2020 and put us at ease, but also was able to accommodate our guests with some last minute vegetarian and vegan options (that were actually filling and delicious!). Our guests loved the local PNW cuisine, and Natalie and her staff were incredible and attentive. The thai mussels, salmon, short ribs, carrots, and beecher's mac and cheese were crowd favorites. Everything was also presented beautifully. The best part was that Natalie packaged my husband and I two dinners to go at the end of the night in case we didn't get a chance to eat throughout the day (we made sure to eat because the food was amazing!) - but we ended up eating one to-go meal late at night and the other on the ferry the next day. It was one of our favorite moments of our wedding weekend :)

Serendipity catered both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception, and both were phenomenal! The food is fantastic and they offer such great variety to choose from-- definitely way above your "standard" wedding food. As many of our guests were from out of state, we loved being able to provide a locally sourced, PNW menu. And so many guests commented on not just the taste, but the presentation as well (Hello, cheese board!) My friends are still raving about the buttermilk mashed potatoes! Natalie was super sweet, professional, and communicative throughout the process, which ended up being rather long thanks to COVID. Absolutely recommend!!

I would highly, highly recommend Serendipity to anyone planning a wedding on Whidbey Island. Not only is all of their food insanely delicious (seriously, everything we tried at the tasting was incredible), they are responsive, professional, and a genuine pleasure to correspond with. The fact that they've catered events all over the island for years was a huge advantage for us, as they were able to coordinate directly with our venues and take us out of the loop completely for the nuts-and-bolts of setup and takedown. If their website and sample menus make you think you'd love to work with them, DO IT -- you will not be disappointed!!!

Serendipity catered our wedding in July and guests are still talking about the food! While we made a few adjustments to the suggested summer menu, the suggested seasonal menus were such a great jumping off point -- made everything really easy. And honestly, you cannot go wrong with Serenity -- all their food is absolutely delicious (that's coming from a family of foodies). And their customer service cannot be beat -- highly responsive, reasonably priced, extremely professional. I want to throw another shindig just to hire them again!

Booking Serendipity Cateringwas one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Not only was the food DELICIOUS (we continue to hear from our guests about how much they loved it) but they were so easy to work with and they went absolutely above and beyond the call of duty. They were trustworthy, respectful, and kind. Natalie is a dream to work with-she coordinated rentals for us, answered all of our questions, and provided us so much peace of mind that our wedding was going to be everything we hoped and dreamed.
