I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about Erica, Emily and Erica's entire team. A bride hires a wedding planner to make the planning process easier and Erica certainly did that. But to truly enjoy the process of planning a wedding is almost unheard of. When talking with family and friends and the inevitable question comes up of "How is wedding planning going?", my response was always how everything was going great and how much I truly loved my wedding planner and her team. And every single time I said this, people would respond with how they've never heard of someone loving their planner or enjoying the process as much as I did.

I found Erica almost a year before our original wedding date, as my fiancé and I were parting ways with our previous wedding planner we hired on the islands. I will never forget our first phone call as I was in tears explaining our current situation of being planner-less and being even more stressed than before. Erica's demeaner was instantly calming and little did I know, this would be a common theme throughout our wedding planning process managing the ups and downs of Covid. Erica was constantly in the know about the restrictions on the island and was coming up with solutions every time a new problem was presented. I think I cried on the phone with her more than some of my own girlfriends but every time I was panicked about the restrictions on the island haltering my wedding day, she would tell me to not go down a rabbit hole (LOL, guilty as charged) and that I could contact her whenever I was feeling uneasy.

Every single vendor we worked with, and I mean every single one, from the hotel staff, to the florist, to the furniture vendors, would tell me how Erica is the best and how much they all respected her. She had a way of always coming up with exactly what I wanted while treating every vendor of mine with respect - you can tell that goes a long way with people on the island. Everyone seems to know everyone and word definitely gets around if someone (a planner, vendor, etc) is generally unpleasant to work with. I hadn't heard a single negative thing about Erica or her team - always about how nice she is and how she is the best.

A few months before the wedding, we knew we needed to hire Erica and her team for my welcome party and rehearsal dinner and again, best decision ever. I was able to relax a lot more, my husband was happy that I was less stressed, and my parents felt confident knowing Erica had every.single.detail handled so we could all enjoy ourselves with our family and friends. Covid restrictions seemed to be changing weekly and I could barely keep up with the changes but Erica and her team were always one step ahead.

After having 3 different wedding dates, the day was finally here! My wedding day (and week!) was the most amazing time of my husband and I's life. It was better than we even imagined. I was so relaxed and elated. I didn’t hear of a *single* mishap or problem (not that I was expecting to) but sometimes things are out of your control and you just have to roll with it. But nope, not a single issue. I made a point of asking friends and family how everything was on their end (since I was too busy on cloud 9) and they had nothing but rave reviews. Erica even had one of the gals on her team (I forgot her name, ahh!) who was a stylist and was there to help myself and my bridesmaids with any wardrobe mishaps. You would be surprised at how many of my girls needed a last minute stitch here or there, even after getting their dresses altered beforehand by a seamstress. My dream of having an Amalfi coast themed wedding as an ode to our Italian roots finally came true! From our hand painted clay tiles as name cards, to the giant lemon tree in the middle of our beautiful circular bar (shoutout to Mandy Grace Designs - truly brilliant), the woven lanterns and string lights hanging over our reception, and last but not least, our traditional Italian wedding cake - millefoglie!

I cannot express how important it is to have a wedding planner on the islands, especially if you are planning from the mainland. But more so, it's important to make sure you enjoy the process before your big day and have every ounce of confidence in your planner and her team that everything will be perfect. And it was perfect, and beautiful, and I wish I could go back every day and relive it. Our friends and family tell us every day how we wish we were all back on the islands together celebrating our wedding because it was just THAT amazing.

We couldn’t have done it without Erica and her team. She saved me a lot of tears and stress and just for that reason alone, I'd hire her over and over again. But I truly felt like I came away from this wedding with a new friend in Erica. She made my wedding day feel like a dream and for that, I will forever be thankful.

Erica of Couture Events is the best of the best! As a vendor, I was so impressed with everything. We have worked with wedding and event coordinators and have seen how so many small details can get left behind or missed. Not with Couture Events. They have it down! So classy, elegant, and calm. When my husband and I began wedding planning, we knew we wanted a destination wedding, so choosing the ideal coordinator for us was such an important decision. After falling in love with a venue, I asked them for a list of preferred coordinators, and thank goodness, Couture Events was on the list! Erica was incredible to work with, and she constantly went above and beyond! Erica has an amazing energy and such great taste and style. She truly brought together the best of the best to make our day utter perfection. From being so open and inspired by our specific wedding vision to being detail oriented and flexible from day 1, Erica clearly loves her job and excels at it. We had a very tight timeline because of the way we wanted our day to go, and inevitably, certain things went over time or had to be shifted around. What I appreciated so much about Erica is that she absorbed all the stress and chaos, and presented me with choices that made sense without disturbing the flow and energy of the wedding. Erica made us feel so taken care of and she really wanted us to be happy - that much was very clear. I loved every second working with her, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

We feel so grateful to have had Erica of Couture Events as our wedding planner. She not only had incredible taste, creative solutions to road bumps, and knowledge of every vendor, but she also became a good friend throughout the process. We really looked forward to talking with Erica and getting to know her and share our vision. We had an unfortunate hiccup with our first choice venue and Erica came to the rescue to deliver a new venue that was even better than our original plan. It brought us so much peace of mind knowing she was in our corner, especially when planning a destination wedding from thousands of miles away.

When we decided to get married on Maui, we assumed it would be easy to throw it all together. When it came down to planning all the details.... the permits, the license, the location, the officiant, the flowers and photographer... it was more stress than I wanted to take on. The whole of idea of eloping was to ENJOY every stress free minute of bliss together. Erica Goldsmith with Couture Events does it ALL with style and grace. Everything was planned out perfectly!! Our photographer was AMAZING (Wendy Laurel), the flowers were beyond gorgeous and our officiant was warm and wonderful. Erica thought of everything and her attention to detail spot on! It was the dream wedding right out of a magazine photo shoot and we were able to enjoy every second. I cannot say enough good things about Couture Events. If you are planning a small intimate ceremony or a large gathering... I promise your will expectations will be met above and beyond.
