My husband I hired Chris for our July 2020 wedding when his company was called Frost Studios International. He offered discounts for paying up front, which we did. In April 2020, we decided to postpone our wedding to 2021. He tried to convince us it was unnecessary (not his place to do so), but ultimately rebooked us. In December of 2020, we decided to cancel our July 2021 wedding due to the pandemic and reached out to Chris and our other vendors immediately. Per our contract with him, we should have gotten our money back (minus a small deposit). However, Chris strung us along for months saying he didn't have the money but would pay us as soon as he did. All of this was in writing. After not hearing from him for months, we then got the same email the other reviewers referenced about going out of business and not able to refund us money. I am grateful we never actually had Chris photograph our wedding, but we were now out thousands of dollars. Chris is a scam artist and I absolutely do not recommend hiring him for your wedding.

DO NOT hire! My [now] husband and I hired Chris Seibel in 2019, for our 2020 wedding, back when his company was called Frost Studios International. Like the previous reviewer, we were offered a discount and paid in full when we signed the contract. Due to COVID our wedding had to be rescheduled twice; each time we communicated the change and Chris confirmed all would be fine and that nothing changed. With less than 90 days until our wedding, and without any warning, we were unable to contact him for final confirmation; his phone number was disconnected, social media/website was shut down, and was totally incommunicado. Shortly after a long email chain consisting of 46 people experiencing similar issues, we [all] received a very short and cryptic email saying he was no longer in business, could not fulfill contracts, and would not issue refunds. My husband and I then had to scramble to find and pay for a new photographer and were never refunded by Chris. We never received communication from him outside of the generic group emails. We took him to small claims court where he didn’t even have to courtesy to show up for any of the multiple different court dates; after winning, we then had to file a foreign judgement in his home county where we are still active lien holders on his estate. We have still not received communication or refund. He filed bankruptcy in Oct of 2024 to cover his foreclosure and defaulted Frost Studios loan from the bank but my husband and I, along with one other affected couple, still have active liens against him. Chris has now rebranded under a new business name (Copper Ranch Studios) as if he didn’t swindle multiple couples out of thousands of dollars and without paying his court issued debt. I would never hire him and would seriously consider any and all other options before trusting this man.
