Early on my now-husband and I knew we wanted to prioritize quality photography in our budget. Crystal was our top choice and also ended up being very reasonably priced! She was so awesome to work with - friendly and made us feel comfortable in front of her camera - and very good at communicating. And of course, her photos are amazing. My jaw dropped when I saw our sneak peek. We couldn't be happier with her work!!

Crystal is nothing short of amazing! I had found her by basically googling wedding photographers in my area a few months after we had gotten engaged. I had booked her about a year and a half in advance because my fiancé and I both loved her portfolio. Her style and eye for details and the fact that she wasn’t like every other photographer we had looked at was very refreshing. We talked via email quite a bit. For our engagement session we literally walked all around downtown Cedar Rapids to get a good variety of pictures/poses and she captured who my husband and I are in photos. Day of wedding she made bridal party & family photos flow extremely well with the itinerary we had created. She was totally on board with using a photo of my late father in a lot of the formal family portraits which I absolutely love. About an hour into our reception she pulled my husband and I outside to do an unplanned sunset shoot which have turned out to be some of my favorite photos. Her turnaround for getting pictures edited and out to us was so quick and she kept us updated every step of the way with where she was at with things. I’m so looking forward to working with her more when it comes to future family photos!

Crystal did an amazing job capturing our engagement pictures and wedding day. It was very important to me to hire someone that I knew I could trust and count of for guidance throughout the wedding experience. Crystal is extremely professional and prompt to emails. She has a vision and is able to capture moments that I didn’t even know were possible. If you like natural, elegant and creative photography, then choose crystal! Plus we received the images sooo fast! She is a quiet, hard working, caring person who is thinking of her clients the whole day! And in the end the pictures that you didn’t even know she was taking are the pictures you will cherish forever!

Looking back almost a year ago as I was picking our photographer I did not want just anyone. In fact I wanted someone that no one in our area would be familiar with. I had made the list of all lists, comparing and contrasting every last detail from Des Moines to Chicago to Bloomington. I will say picking a photographer was one of the hardest decisions during my wedding planning experience. After all, these were going to be our forever photos of what turned out to be the most perfect day. I finally narrowed it down. Crystal’s creativity and ability to capture that “perfect moment” stood out to us most. Crystal is so carefree and literally is up for anything which is why her pictures are so unique. Plus, we needed someone to put up with my husbands shenanigans! Crystal met every expectation and then some which is why we can’t thank her enough. She captured not only our engagement pictures but our wedding day as well. We are absolutely in love with our photo gallery. & she has the quickest turn around time which is wonderful! So if you haven’t booked a wedding photographer you should go check her out, ASAP. We HIGHLY recommend her.

Crystal was amazing and truly a God send! We got dropped by 3 other photographers before finding Crystal and she was amazing! She is great with outdoor lighting and just letting my husband and I just be us and capturing that in the photos. These are by far the most beautiful photos I've ever seen and Crystal was absolutely amazing to work with!

After researching quite a few different wedding photographers in the QC area, I came across some of Crystal's work via a friend's Facebook post and was hooked. She is quick to respond via email or by phone if you have questions, very personable and humorous to work with while being completely professional, and has wonderfully creative ideas to shoot portraits and candids that combine classic shots with more modern poses and backgrounds. Her pictures are stunning and make the day all the more special for the couple. We loved Crystal's work so much, we've come back to her for maternity, newborn and 1st birthday photos as well!

I did a LOT of research and had contact with 50 or more photographers. Crystal was one I had contacted early on. Her work was the best I had seen by far but I wasnt sure we could fit her into the budget. So I continued looking and getting the run around from others - not getting emails back until two weeks later, already booked, family issues, etc. So I contacted her again and she replied within a half hour - that right there was my biggest selling point. I didnt want to have to stress about contacting my photographer and I could tell she was going to make working with her very easy! Our engagement pictures were awesome and just when I thought she couldn't impress me anymore, she did. I lost my dad about 3 years ago and had come to terms with the fact that I wouldn't get that experience of him walking me down the aisle. So I walked by myself. My mom had contacted her, without my knowledge, to see if she could edit in a picture of my dad walking me down the aisle. The picture she edited for me is beautiful and more than I could've ever asked from a photographer. Words cannot express how grateful I am that I found Crystal Broussard to photograph my wedding.
