Our wedding was perfect, and it was perfect in ways that my wife and I hadn't even anticipated. Cledwyn's role was an immensely important part of that. I had the good fortune to learn that a great officiant isn't just someone who reads a few words from a book at the appropriate time – he or she is a poet, an editor, a coordinator, a counselor, a friend. Cledwyn was all of those things for us, in just the right amounts and at just the right times. He got to know both of us well, together and individually, then crafted a beautiful structure for the service. He brought together readings from our family members and arranged them artfully. He sat with each of us and helped us quiet our overwrought minds and finally commit to paper the vows we were struggling to voice. And when the big moment arrived (and after seeing everyone to their proper places) he delivered his part with grace and just the right mix of emotion. It was all quite beautiful.

Wedding officiant is a difficult role masquerading as an easy one. Done well, it demands professionalism without detachment, patience backed up by focused practicality, high emotional and spiritual intelligence, solid organization, and more than a little poetry. Done well, it looks easy, relaxed, and pitch-perfect. Only the three people standing at center stage know how much work went into making it that way. Cledwyn Jones does it very well.
