I have always wanted to get married here and it finally happened! They were super accomidating, and if you have ever gone to Mass here, you know how wonderful it can be. The organist and cantor are done through the parish, but they do a beautiful job. Deacon Chuck was very helpful and willing to answer any questions, and even performed our wedding for us. Although I wish there wasnt tape from it being a covid wedding, it was so beautiful and I loved it. I know its a big church, but we only had 29 people (including us) and it was amazing! We are Catholic and wanted our wedding in the Catholic church, in a beautiful, spiritual setting. We had been going to this church for a while and knew we wanted it here. So, to get married here, you have to go through wedding preparation, just like with any Catholic church. There are price differences on whether you are a member and how long you have been a member, so if you are planning a wedding, LOOK THIS UP IN ADVANCE so you can be registered as a church member and see if this will work for your budget. That said, the cathedral was *beautiful* and we specifically chose a priest who is positive, funny, and made it an experience to remember. Keep in mind that you cannot get dressed at the church beforehand (we knew this already and planned for that in advance). The person who coordinates weddings is very patient and helpful with discussing dates, answering questions, and letting you know if there's anything you need to be aware of.

The Cathedral Basilica was the absolute PERFECT place for our wedding, and probably yours too. From the beauty, location, historical significance, and spiritual meaning of the church, to the kindness and generosity we experienced by the church staff, we could not have asked for a better place to start our lives together. Our guests loved the Cathedral, and felt tickled that they were inside while the tourists were told there was a special wedding going on and they had to wait! Our Deacon was amazing, and the church was very affordable for local parish members. It's also not badly priced, even for out-of-towners!
We had a great experience, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get married in the oldest church in the USA. We definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a gorgeous and affordable venue.
