Castlebay is a band in Round Pond, Maine, that provide traditional wedding music entertainment. This talented duo performs acoustic pieces that help to create a romantic atmosphere at milestone events. Julia specializes in the Celtic harp, creating delicate sounds that produce the perfect soundtrack to any occasion. She is accompanied by Fred, a multi-talented instrumentalist who plays the Irish flute, violin, viola, and more.
Castlebay offers couples a personalized service to meet their big day’s needs. Julia and Fred can read from a manuscript as they perform, but they are not reliant on sheet music. This allows them to focus on their surroundings and seamlessly adapt their performance. For instance, if a hiccough or delay occurs, they can provide the musical accompaniment to keep everything flowing smoothly. They are available for all stages of the wedding including the ceremony, the reception, and the rehearsal. Conveniently for clients not based in mid-coast Maine, the duo is available to travel.
