I needed a large groomsman suite to get ready in before the wedding, and Bradley helped me choose the Truman Suite. This room was perfect. Lots of room for the guys and me to get ready and watch football. Also, large enough where we weren't on top of each other. Also, the staff was very attentive and helped us with any request we had.

If I could give the Capital Hilton more than 5 stars, I would. I genuinely feel that there aren't enough words to describe how incredible the staff, atmosphere, and overall experience at this venue was. My husband and I are still in awe of how amazing our wedding was and we owe so much of the success of our special day to the Capital Hilton.
There is so much history in that hotel and in the area, the hotel rooms were beautiful, the ballrooms were gorgeous (and recently renovated) and the food was truly the best I've ever had.

We had an unbelievable experience with the Capital Hilton. We had a fairly large wedding so having the reception at a hotel made more sense than coordinating a venue, catering team, etc. separately. Not to mention the hotel is in a great location for guests traveling from out of town who want to see the city, and easy to get to for people who live in the area. Our reception was in the Presidential Ballroom, which was breathtaking, and overall the staff was amazing.

Titou, the events manager, was friendly, professional, patient, and replied to emails quickly. He coordinated the details of the entire event, from the room block for our guests to the menu tasting, to the set up and general oversight of the event on the day of the wedding. Everything was better than we could have hoped for, and even though there were multiple other weddings at the hotel that weekend, the staff recognized people from our party, went above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome, and just made the weekend such a great experience for everyone.

The chef also did an amazing job putting together an impressive menu for our tasting, with entrees that were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. At the reception, the food came out in a timely manner, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. The service team was also awesome - they were attentive without hovering, they held our food while we visited tables so it would be hot when we got back to our table, and because the whole team was so organized, we actually got to eat and enjoy our own reception!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Not a single person had a complaint the entire weekend and we are a tough crowd to please. Everything was perfect.

It is a beautiful venue for a wedding, just two blocks from the White House. Excellent location for many of our guests from out of town.

Stunning venue! Every bride will feel like a princess in the ballroom. Professional staff! My guested had the "WOOW" effect! Michael Schneider is fantastic! The chef is amazing. We were treated to well when we came for the tastings.

This was a great location for my wedding reception. They did a great job on our food and drinks, and the servers and catering managers did a great job of making sure things flowed smoothly. They provided different options for arranging the tables/ dance floor/ etc. I was very pleased with the result. I also received many positive comments from the guests about the event. Many out of town wedding guests stayed in the hotel and were able to do some sightseeing nearby during the wedding weekend. I would highly recommend this location for DC brides!

Overall a good experience but the alcohol is very high. I got a huge fee for wine consumption after my wedding. I could not figure out how the consumption was so high since there were many kids and people who do not drink. Later, many guests told me that the waiters were pouring wine into empty glasses on the tables even when no one asked for wine. A couple of guests said they had to ask the waiter to stop pouring wine because they do not drink and did not want wine.
