Similar to the other reviews, I'm a bit at a loss for where to start on describing my experience working with Heather and Calluna. Heather and I began working on my winter wedding at Devil's Thumb Ranch about a year ago and we celebrated this past weekend - everything was a huge success.

I didn't consider myself a big 'wedding girlie' and started out a bit hesitant on investing in the weekend. Everything changed when I asked Heather if it would be possible to book my (now) husband's favorite Bluegrass band, the Stillhouse Junkies, as a surprise for the Welcome Dinner, which she was able to do in ~1 week. From there, Heather worked with me on creating an intentional celebration for our ~87 guests. We didn't spend money for its own sake, we instead created an experience that delighted our friends and family and made them feel taken care of. Heather was so deliberate and thoughtful, and made sure every detail was explored and executed perfectly (down to the hot toddy bar before the ceremony!!). Her list of vendors were all excellent and they all love working with her and with Calluna.

Heather made our wedding happen in a way that I didn't think would be possible and throughout, she held the perfect mix of professionalism and fun. She let me concentrate on the parts of the wedding that were important to me, while making sure that everything else didn't go off the rails. I am so grateful to her and to the Calluna Team for making our day such a wonderful experience. Our friends and family thought the day was perfect, and so did we.

We came to Heather and Calluna only having chosen our venue, and Heather made everything else seamless. From the vendor selection, working within our budget, to the wedding mood boards, to the small details and day of logistics we couldn't recommend anyone more, especially for remote mountain weddings. September weather in the mountains can be tricky, and Heather made sure nothing skipped a beat, giving us full confidence that we didn't need to worry about anything since she had it covered. Even our families couldn't stop raving about the amazing job she accomplished given the ever changing mountain weather with our outdoor ceremony. Bottom line, Heather is an expert wedding planner and you won't go wrong having her plan your mountain wedding.

Thank goodness we hired Calluna Events! From our whimsical get-together the night before with food trucks, ice-cream and a cocktail caravan, to our magical outdoor 200+ guest wedding, Heather and her team ran the show with expertise and grace. During the entire planning process, we felt like we were Heather's only client. She responded promptly to all emails and requests, brainstormed ideas with us and gave invaluable advice. She listened to our vision and created exactly what we wanted. She saved us money and time by knowing the skills and styles of the available vendors and picked those who matched well with us. Heather and her team were there with us every step of the way, including on our big day(s). Heather even helped me fix a wedding dress wardrobe malfunction and talked me down when I started to panic. When a thunderstorm unexpectedly tore through our venue right before the ceremony, Heather was able to think on her feet and quickly moved the chairs and guests into the tent, all while making sure everyone still had drinks and appetizers. When the thunderstorm abruptly left, Heather seamlessly moved the guests back outside to enjoy the ceremony and the beautiful rainbow.

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Calluna, specifically with Gabby. After our first design plan meeting, it really felt like Gabby knew us better than we knew ourselves! At one point, I said to Gabby, "You can plan the rest of this wedding, just tell me where to be and when, and I know it will be the most beautiful wedding of my dreams."
She provided such thoughtful vendor recommendations that perfectly matched us as a couple. You can tell Calluna really fosters connection and partnership with its vendors because every single one just gushed about how much they adore her! She has an incredible eye for detail and was instrumental in all the meetings with our vendors. One of the compliments we get the most from our wedding is that it felt like no detail was left unattended. Gabby really made our wedding weekend the easiest, least stressful weekend of our lives.
Our entire weekend would not have been 1/100th of what it was without her.

Calluna Events was incredible in every way! We hosted a wedding weekend in Golden, CO with a Littleton, CO wedding of 115 guests from around the globe. From start to finish I knew we were in great hands. Gabby was prompt with communication, answered my many questions with ease, and helped ensure an amazing weekend. She was organized, insightful and very helpful in attending venue visits and mockup viewings and all vendor calls with us.

As we were based in New York and Heather and Gabby were both based in Colorado, we relied on them for almost everything—vendors, design ideas, timing, logistics, you name it—and every recommendation they gave us was absolutely perfect. They truly understood our vision, elevated it, and then executed it flawlessly.

When our photographers’ truck broke down, Gabby immediately stepped in, driving them around personally while still juggling a hundred other moving pieces. When we decided last minute to add an extra event, they seamlessly made it happen, as though it had been on their calendar for months. And when the night ended, they not only collected all of our belongings, but also realized the key to our condo didn’t work—so they found us at the after-party for another, decorated our space with flowers, organized everything beautifully, and then came back to hand-deliver the key. That level of dedication is beyond anything we could have imagined.

They were the calm in the chaos, the glue holding everything together, and the magic makers behind the most perfect weekend of our lives. Their creativity, professionalism, and sheer ability to multitask while making it all look effortless is unmatched. Every guest, vendor, and family member felt cared for because of them.

Most importantly, they are just incredible people. They treated us like family, and it never once felt like we were just another wedding on their calendar. Thanks to them, our wedding wasn’t just well-run—it was joyful, meaningful, and full of heart. And now we can confidently say we have 2 very special and dear friends in both Heather and Gabby.

If you are even thinking about hiring them, stop thinking and just do it. They will be your advocates, your problem-solvers, your cheerleaders, and your miracle workers. We are forever grateful, and we cannot imagine our wedding without them.

Everyone was truly on the same page and every detail was handled with precision. On the big day, no detail was left unnoticed. The day went so smoothly. Even if there were any hiccups, we did not know about it because Heather is such a professional at what she does! To us - our wedding day truly was perfect and we couldn't have asked for more. Heather and all the vendors exceeded our expectations and dreams.

My husband and I could not recommend Calluna enough! Heather and the entire team were so fun and easy to work with and truly made our day so special. I can’t imagine how we would have navigated the complexities of a destination wedding without Calluna’s invaluable experience and impressive organizational skills. From providing lists of amazing wedding vendors to detailed timelines, Heather’s expertise and organization allowed us to truly enjoy the process, knowing that Calluna had thought of everything to ensure a smooth and stress-free weekend. There was one small hiccup on wedding day that we didn’t even learn about until after the wedding. One of the other vendors had a health emergency and was not available to install the seating chart wall and bar vinyls. Rather than worry us with this unexpected problem, Calluna’s team jumped into action to install everything themselves!

It is clear that Calluna is highly respected in the industry and maintains excellent relationships with other wedding vendors. Everyone worked together exceptionally well to create an amazing wedding weekend! The wedding vendors genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs and cared that our weekend was a success.

I highly recommend Calluna Events to create a special and unforgettable wedding experience! You won't be disappointed. We were sad that our time with Calluna ended with the wedding. I wish we had another daughter so that we could work with Heather and her team again!
