We chose By Cherry Photography to capture our micro destination wedding in Santa Ynez, and it was one of the best decisions we made.

From the very beginning, Cherry’s website was easy to navigate, and I really appreciated the seamless booking process. The automated systems for the deposit, booking confirmation, and pre-wedding questionnaire made everything feel organized and stress-free. On our wedding day, she even had my questionnaire printed out, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. With so much happening, it was reassuring to know she had every detail of the photos we wanted right at her fingertips.

Cherry was always prompt with communication, punctual, and incredibly personable. I feel very awkward in front of a camera, and the idea of candid photos usually makes me nervous. However, Cherry has such an elegant, unobtrusive approach that she was never “in your face” with the camera. Instead, she blended seamlessly into the day and was such a pleasant presence throughout the evening.

She captured so many incredible moments that it’s honestly impossible to choose a favorite because every single photo turned out beautifully. Looking through our gallery allowed us to relive the entire day, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Working with Cherry was such a dream! We hired her relatively short notice for an elopement in Santa Barbara and she was beyond organized and communicative. She had an intake questionnaire of everything that we didn't even know to ask, and her knowledge of the courthouse we got married at was unreal. She had suggestions of locations for us to pick from and on the day she made us feel so comfortable. We had a blast (and this is definitely not our thing). She also suggested an officiant with city hall paused express weddings, organized a dog handler so that we could get our 1-year old puppy in photos, and had tons of other vendor recommendations. Let me just say that Cherry and Shannon are absolutely amazing and I can't wait to rave about them and tell everyone who is getting married in Santa Barbara or the SB courthouse (I know it is becoming a huge hot spot, rightfully so, it's jaw dropping GORGEOUS) to book with them!!! They know they're way around the courthouse, can recommend all the places to do your ceremony, and can make your Pinterest board come to life!! My pictures were everything I dreamed of and the edits are classic and timeless. For only having an hours time, they were able to capture over 250 of my family, couple shots, and bride/groom portraits and detail shots. The turnaround time was even better as many have to wait months and months to get photos back and mine arrived after a week but was expecting it to be way longer. I couldn't wait to post them and they will look so beautiful around our home. With an elopement, I needed things to be very affordable and ByCherry is in that range and so transparent on their website about their packages. They are both so communicative and responded to all my emails and questions quickly. I am just so happy with my experience and you will not regret choosing them for your big day!!!

We got married on the grounds of the Santa Barbara Courthouse and could not have asked for a BETTER photographer!!!! Communication was excellent from our first inquiry about her services, up until the day we met in person on our wedding day. We ran late on our wedding day because I forgot my ID back in the hotel for the marriage license. Cherry assured me she would still capture pictures and not drop her camera at the 1hr mark we had hired her for. She knows all the BEST spots to take pictures and also knew exactly how the process worked at the courthouse. She made us feel at ease during the entire time and we had proofs in our email box on the last day of our honeymoon! We are an older couple (mid 50's) and she captured our BEST shots with a large variety of photos. We HIGHLY recommend Cherry for your wedding photography day. She will not disappoint!

Having someone follow you around and taking pictures of you can sometimes be awkward, but Cherry made us feel so comfortable. I had a budget of less than a thousand, and was on the brink of not hiring any photographer. That was until I found Cherry's business! She and her team are very responsive with messages, professional, and warm. My partner and I felt comfortable and were happy with the direction given during our photoshoot. We had a lot of laughs. It was fun. The starting price is between five and six hundred for one hour only, at the Santa Barbara courthouse. There was a form to fill out about how many guests, any sensitive things regarding family or friends for photographer to be aware of (I happened to have something sensitive so this was perfect), and preferred iconic spots to take photos around the courthouse. We are very happy with our photos! Thank you!! ❤️

Cherry did an exceptional job with communication even before the big day. She communicated to me very important information about the elopement which was very helpful and allowed me to organize all the logistics of the ceremony. She also asked for group portraits prior to optimize couple portrait time on the day of. Everything ran smoothy and portrait album was BEAUTIFUL.

I came across ByCherry's website while I was doing research about getting married in Santa Barbara. Her webisite was so informative and provided the links to all the information I needed. It was everything I wanted and needed to know. Once I connected with her, I knew she would be the perfect photographer for our wedding. I worked with her and her team (Shannon) and they were incredible. Not only our pictures came out incredible but the professionalism and the helpfulness they displayed was phenomenal.
