A must-have for your wedding

I cannot sing the praises of Amanda and her team enough. When you first start planning a wedding, a wedding planner or coordinator might seem like an unnecessary luxury. But I promise you it will be the smartest investment you make. From giving me great vendor recommendations, to design planning, vendor email templates, coordinating COIs and being there the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly — they leave no stone unturned. I felt like I could be present and fully enjoy the day— I didn’t have to stress about anything because they were there every step of the way. I had a perfect wedding and it’s no doubt thanks to their help and hard work.

A vendor-friendly Planner!

A wedding planner is certainly one of the first vendors any couple should hire! To bring to life the vision of the couple a good planner will assemble a team to get it done. Amanda was wonderful for our crew to work with. She kept us informed so we could perform our job and work with the timeline created. Her attention to detail was appreciated and allowed us to successfully deliver and install our air conditioners to keep the tent comfortable for guests.

From a wedding photographer, Amanda is the real deal.

As a wedding photographer, I get to see what goes on behind the scenes, and I want to shout from the rooftops that Amanda is the real deal!

Working with planners and coordinators can range from heavenly to harmful, and it makes me so happy to come across people like Amanda, who are exceptional at what they do.

Leading up to the wedding, her communication was easy and helpful. She was invested in not only making her clients happy (and they were very happy with her) but also in making it a smooth and beneficial experience for the vendors as well. She guided the whole process while also supporting me so that I could do the best possible job for the happy couple.

On the wedding day, Amanda seemed so calm and light, and she ran the wedding with ease and joy.

I definitely recommend hiring Amanda! In addition to getting her job done, she truly cares about her clients, their guests, the vendors, and every person and thing involved in your glorious wedding.

I was resistant to booking a wedding planner. My wife and I were not only on a tight budget, but also are extremely Type A, busy-bodies who, together, can accomplish a lot, and I figured we would be able to pull it off without a planner. I WAS SO WRONG! From the moment we first met with Amanda, it was clear how knowledgable she was about the industry, and was able to ensure we were properly prepared for anything and everything! She facilitated the entire process in ways we wouldn't have even known to think of! She and her team were present for our entire wedding weekend (Rehearsal dinner, welcome party, full wedding day, and Sunday brunch), and because she was there I was able to relax and actually be present for/take in the weekend, our ceremony, and the culmination of all of the planning. If you are worried about the expense of a wedding planner, please know that booking Amanda will save you money, as well as time, stress, hassle, and allow you to fully enjoy your day in it's entirety!

Two things are true about our wedding. 1) It was the best day of our lives and 2) We absolutely could not have pulled it off without Amanda. Amanda is The Best of The Best. My wife and I recall a time before we hired Amanda when we foolishly thought we didn't need a wedding planner. Amanda not only taught us how to do a wedding right throughout the process of planning, she also saved us a lot of money by showing up with a vast reserve of knowledge about the industry. Every step of the way we felt supported and cared for. Amanda also handled our Wedding Weekend - with all of its intricacies and curveballs - like a Boss. She wrangled our family, led us all through a beautiful rehearsal, communicated with our many vendors, pretty much singlehandedly made sure our Wedding Ship didn't sink - and she did so with grace and style. I'll say in closing that as our guests were leaving our reception and everyone wanted to say goodbye to me and my wife, Amanda walked over to us and gently said: "Your bonfire was just lit and it's always most beautiful at the very beginning. Go out there now - you don't want to miss this." Without those moments of guidance from Amanda throughout our entire weekend both my wife and I would have missed out on a lot. Instead, Amanda helped us to produce the most important day of our lives. A thousand thank you's to Amanda, and an infinity of stars!!

Amanda was truly the engine that made our wedding day run smoothly! My husband and I got married at a venue that required lots of extra coordination (transportation,catering, rentals, etc.). Amanda’s organization skills were put to the test and she did an incredible job! From our first phone call with Amanda we knew she was a perfect fit. She always had thoughtful ideas and was aware of our budget. The final weeks leading up to the wedding were filled with many decisions and Amanda was so attentive to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. On the day of the wedding, Amanda and her team were on their A-Game ensuring the day flowed and my husband and I were able to enjoy ourselves. As an event planner myself, it was hard to turn my “planner brain” off, but with Amanda as our day of planner I was able to take a deep breath knowing we were in such great hands. I highly recommend Amanda to couples! THANK YOU Amanda for making our wedding dreams come true!

We hired Amanda for month-of preparation. She also provided us with information about vendors that we could hire for our wedding and a checklist for what to do when. Her advice on vendors and checklists were invaluable. However, even more importantly, she made the run-up to our wedding and the day itself stress-free. She handled all the last minute logistics, gave us a clear schedule to follow, and all we had to focus on was actually getting married and enjoying ourselves. Through it all, she was cheery, calm and exceedingly competent. I couldn't recommend her more!

Amanda O'Callaghan is no mere mortal. She is a miraculous angel-goddess who waves a wand to make all wedding stress disappear. I had a New York City wedding in December 2017. Our engagement began on June 21st, 2017, and we didn't want a long engagement, so we got the balling rolling with venues/details. Our fabulous Manhattan reception venue (The Down Town Association) advised that we get a "Day-of Planner" to keep things organized on the big day. They highly recommended Amanda O'Callaghan. My mother and I agreed to meet Amanda mid-September, and we both knew right away, over lunch at Maison Kayser, that she was hired. We instantly felt a sense of comfort, calm, and detailed organization. After we discussed Day-Of Planning, we fell in love with her, and asked if she could do Month-Of Planning instead. She explained she could, and what that would encompass. Upon hearing this, my Mother says how about Two-Month-Of Planning, or more?! From that point on, Amanda became our wedding planner, and she helped us keep everything (and everyone) on track with a detailed timeline, weekly updates, and regular to-do checklists. She kept track of all of our vendors, payments, wedding party members, and so many other details of the wedding & rehearsal dinner that we didn't even want to think about. When all was said and done, the romantic weekend in New York City was pulled off flawlessly, and Amanda helped bring to life the wedding we wanted. ZERO hiccups. After the wedding, my family decided that we should keep her forever and make her an honorary family member. While I didn't get to bring her home for Xmas, she did become my friend, and I will happily sing her praises far and wide. We are eternally grateful.

I was very skeptical about hiring a wedding planner because I'd head about other people's bad experiences, I consider myself pretty well organized and I didn't want to "outsource" my wedding. I interviewed several planners and right away I was impressed with Amanda. She is friendly, professional and although modest has an impressive resume/body of work. Amanda was incredibly easy to work with, is very detail oriented, always followed through when she said she would and truly went above and beyond to make it all come together for us. We had a snafu with our caterer on the day of the wedding that Amanda was able to manage for us and we nor any of our guests ever even knew about it until after the event. One of the things I most appreciated about Amanda as I look back was her willingness to be as involved or as hands off as we needed. She didn't insist on doing everything her way or micro managing us but she wasn't shy about stepping in to address areas where we needed help. Amanda also went out of her way to make not only my husband and I comfortable with all the planning but also our families.... not an easy task. I couldn't recommend her more and while I don't plan to have any more weddings truly hope we're able to work together again in the future in some capacity.
