We hired Erika Hopkins from Brides & Bouquets to be our wedding coordinator. A wedding planner was not in our budget, but we knew having a coordinator was crucial to having a special wedding day. Our ceremony was at the Santa Barbara Courthouse, and our reception was at Villa & Vine. Erika was an absolute pro at coordinating both events. An outdoor courthouse wedding is stressful because you never quite know what unexpected things might happen, but we were confident in Erika’s ability to handle anything.

During our first month-of meeting with her, we were still trying to iron out some details. One of those were the favors at the reception. She recommended Spanish tile coasters, and after some research, we ordered some and could not have been happier. She has worked with many venues and vendors in the area, and her already having a relationship with our DJ and florist made our lives so much easier. Erika and Brides and Bouquets was the perfect choice for our wedding day.

Erika was an amazing find for us as a wedding planner and we felt very lucky to have had her recommended to us. We were very happy with her in all aspects as both our wedding planning needs and day of responsibilities. Erika is very professional, she responds quickly throughout all our communication leading up to the wedding. She also was amazing on the day of the wedding. She knew what I needed without me asking her and she got everything done in a way that was unobtrusive and seamless as our big day unfolded. Her prices are very reasonable considering the great services she provides for her brides (and grooms!). Erika also went above and beyond for us by helping us with our rehearsal dinner and in getting vendors lined up though out the entire process. We loved working with both Erika and Kristian. They were extremely helpful as we decided how flexible we needed our event coordination to be. We had met multiple times before the event for planning but things came up close to the event which I hadn't anticipated and Erika took on any extra roles and responsibilities with stride. I very much appreciated her flexibility and professionalism.

Working with Erika leading up to the wedding day gave us a lot of insight in to wedding day logistics and plans we might not have thought of. She asked all the detailed questions before the big day and had a typed plan which we were able to use as a guide for how the day would flow.

Kristian put together beautiful flower arranging ideas mixing my colors and budget. I had a large number of bouquets and bouts to order so I appreciated her willingness to put together the best arrangement considering what was in season and pricing. We needed a large arrangement behind us at the altar and I gave Kristian some free range for creating something that would work for the space and colors. We were blown away by the gorgeous and sprawling arrangement she prepared thoughtfully including elements of our reception into the piece. Kristian also delivered the bouquets and bouts to where we taking photos before the ceremony which was much appreciated.

I was so pleased with my wedding day for many reasons but one that stands out the most is that I did not have to lift a finger before arriving at our ceremony allowing me to enjoy a full morning with my family and bridesmaids. I was able to walk in to the ceremony and see everything in its place, setup and prepared by Erika and Kristian. Following our ceremony, I was able to enjoy time with my husband as we traveled to our reception and none of our family was burdened with any take down of the ceremony or setup of the reception. Thank you B & B for not just a beautiful day, but a day without worry or stress for me or my husband!

Erika was the best investment for our wedding day! We were impressed with her level of professionalism and friendliness, she always made us feel calmed and relaxed during a seemingly stressful season. From the first day we met until the wedding day, Erika organized the entire day with a smile and efficiency. If you are looking for a fabulous day of coordinator so that you can enjoy your BIG day, Erika is your girl.
