The museum was a phenomenal place to have our wedding ceremony and reception. The backdrop of well-curated art was perfect and fun for our large (170-person) event; the white marble steps leading up to what had been ticket booths when the building was a train station were a superlative place to hold our ceremony and easily be seen and heard by all guests. Because there are several galleries within the museum, it was easy for us to set up a variety of areas for our guests to enjoy (i.e. photo booth, guest book & gift table, letter-writing activity area, cake table, etc). And, several people (florists, DJs, other folks who attend a lot of events) commented that they had never seen a staff as upbeat, helpful, and attentive as the museum's event staff, lead by the Event Manager Kelly Therieau. We recommend it highly for a museum visit and as an event site!Sent on 11/07/2016

BMAC was a wonderful place to have our ceremony and reception. The event coordinator, Margaret, was easy to get in touch with by phone and email. I was planning this wedding from out of state and that was very important to me. She was able to recommend vendors in the area as well and answer the many questions I had about having the event there. The museum has a staff member on hand for your event, which was helpful when we were setting up.Sent on 12/01/2008
The space is great for a small wedding. The main gallery has a stage area, where we had the ceremony. We then used one side of the main gallery for the buffet, the other side for seating (we had 70 people at our event), and the middle (in front of the stage) for dancing. We used the museum's table and chairs; our caterer used the small kitchen on site.
While you obviously can't control what art work will be up, Margaret was able to tell us when we booked what artists would have their work displayed. (We booked in March for an October wedding).
