Brakefield is the most enchanted venue for event hosting the Charlotte Metro area has to offer.

Nestled atop a wooded bluff overlooking the Catawba River a sits Brakefield.

Brakefield is unlike any other stand-alone event venue in this region. With its old-world European warmth and sophisticated charm, the unique architectural design invokes a feeling of "home" while old-world decor gives the venue a slight medieval feel upon entry and throughout.

The greystone and stucco facade is adorned with flickering gas lanterns, and a rich Andean walnut double entry door. Soaring spired roofs and a turret add to the European aesthetic of the Brakefield facility. Inside you'll find an ample entry hall with natural slate floors and, beautiful baroque lighting. We offer dual Bridal Suites each with a large bathroom on the same wing. The Bridal Dressing room is in the Turret with 20 foot high celings surrounded by windows. It is perfect for hair, makeup and gorgeous pictures. It has a hugegrand mirror. The Bridal lounge right next door has comfortable seating, TV, and another grand mirror. There is also a Green room on the bridal wing that can be used for a planner, coordinator additonal bridal space or storage of decor packaging. The Groom's quarters is housed in the Carriage House complete with masqculine decor, TV, and deck overlooking the river.The 3000 square foot Grand Hall is perfect for grand receptions or more formal corporate events.

From the Grand Hall, five sets of eight foot French doors lead to the 1200 square foot covered patio, great for more intimate gatherings and special occassions. The ceremony site is on the rear lawn overlooking the river and has a magnificent view and location for photography. We look forward to meeting with you!
