I truly have nothing but amazing things to say about Riverwalk Venue! From the moment I toured it, I knew this was the one. It is honestly one of the most beautiful venues I looked at, and the fact that it’s so affordable makes it even better.
The staff was professional, organized, and made the entire process feel so seamless. They have such a great system in place, and you can tell they’ve done this countless times because everything ran so smoothly. On wedding day, I never felt stressed because they were always one step ahead, making sure everything stayed on track.
The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous—seriously, the photos don’t even do it justice. It was everything I dreamed of and more, and it brought my entire wedding vision to life.
I would recommend Riverwalk Venue over and over again. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with an amazing team that truly cares about making your day as smooth as possible, this is it. 10/10 recommend! 🤍

Hidden gem
Riverwalk Event Venue was the perfect reception venue for our wedding. It is a true hidden gem tucked away in the Riverwalk area of Rock Hill. There isn't anything else in the Charlotte area that offers this unique manor feel right on the river, and we were blown away the second we stepped onto the property. The building has so much natural character—including a beautiful stone fireplace, stunning bathrooms, and a lovely outdoor space that our guests utilized all night—so we didn't need to go overboard with décor. There are also three extra suites available for the wedding party.
A few notes from our experience:
• Outstanding Management: Erin, the venue manager, was incredibly helpful, organized, and on top of every detail throughout the whole planning process. While I had to chase down other vendors, I never had to worry with her. She kept me calm and completely earned my trust.
• Social Media Perks: They have an on-staff social/marketing coordinator who took behind-the-scenes photos and videos throughout the night and posted them to Instagram Stories and Reels. It was such a nice touch and allowed us to relive the day immediately while waiting for our official photo and video galleries!
• Hourly Rental Structure: My only critique is that they charge by the hour, meaning you don't get the venue for the full day. While I would have loved to use their beautiful bridal suite to get ready, it didn't make financial sense to pay for the extra hours just for that.
• Flexibility: Despite the hourly constraint, Erin was flexible and allowed us to drop off our décor and desserts prior to our official rental window start time.
I would highly recommend this venue to any Charlotte couples searching for an elegant, classic, and timeless reception venue!

Beyond Expectations
Erin and the staff at Riverwalk Event Venue is every Brides dream (and her parents as well). With Erin’s flexibility and professionalism our daughter’s wedding was arranged in just 6 months. During our first meeting with Erin she detailed everything we needed to know about the venue, catering services etc.
Erin was prompt to answer email, phone calls etc. She made the process seamless. There were additional opportunities to visit Riverwalk and firm up details as well.
There are areas for the bride to dress as well as area for the groom which were very important to the both.
Having a December wedding was amazing and elegant with a beautiful Christmas tree and a fire burning in the fireplace it was magical. The wedding ceremony was performed in front of the fireplace and the photos are beautiful.
Everything from the bar service, the tables and chairs, the guest chairs for the actual wedding ceremony were arranged perfectly.
Erin offered suggestions and was flexible in making the requests our daughter requested happen.
We highly recommend Riverview Event Venue, it is a dream location and facility.

PERFECT Moody Fall Wedding Venue
Everything about the Riverwlk Event Venue exceeded my expectations. Erin was an absolute gem to work with. She was responsive and attentive to any questions I had, and when it came to the actual day- I couldn't have asked for a better venue. I used several of her preferred vendors from our walkthrough and they were incredible. I see why they're preferred! This venue really is a blank slate that allows whatever vision you have- come to life. Not to mention, it's affordable and REV doesnt nickle and dime you with random fees, making the venue the least of potential wedding stress for brides and couples!

I cannot recommend this venue enough! Erin was a dream to work with, and so patient. I think I asked her at least a thousand questions, and she was always quick to answer and help me. We included the open bar package, and it went off without a hitch. The venue itself is gorgeous and well-maintained. So many guests came to me raving about the venue's beauty throughout the night. I would not have changed a single thing about the venue or its management. Choose Brakefield!!!

Erin was amazing to work with throughout the process. We were very pleased with the venue and how easy it was to work with Erin and her team. She was very responsive when we had questions and made the day special for my daughter and her new husband. Perfect for us!
I have catered many weddings here myself. It was my turn to get married and brakefield a riverwalk is my top choice. I love everything about this place. We rented a vintage car and it looked perfect with the stone exterior of the brakefield. Inside we love the groom Suite & the bridal suite. Our ceremony area was perfect outside and we can hear the babbling river, it was beautiful. The dining room was set up gorgeous and even the guest bathrooms are very pretty. It’s a very comfortable venue to work in and to have a wedding in! Kelly is amazing and always answered us quickly if we had any questions before our wedding. She made the planning with the venue and coordinating with vendors very easy. She is very kind and very sweet and I appreciate her so much! Allison her assistant is also very helpful and very kind. The bartender was awesome and treated all of our loved ones very well. It was finally my turn to get married and I am very pleased that we picked the Brakefield I recommend it 100% thank you so much Kelly you are the best! Our wedding was gorgeous!

Nothing less than phenomenal!
Brakefield was the first venue I looked at...and I wanted to explore my options so I looked at quite a few, but came back to what I fell in love with upon first glance. The venue is SO beautiful you don't need much, for additional decorations. The facility inside and out is stunning. The outside with the water back drop, breath taking.
Kelly Sanders, the venue manager, is a GEM. You truly never know the customer service you will receive, but her customer service, prompt responses, professionalism, sweet demeanor, and interaction was amazing - and I had a COVID wedding (married July 9, 2020). Kelly went above and beyond to accommodate us with all of our needs. My guest have talked about how beautiful the venue is.
Kelly you ROCK...thank you for making our events happy and memorable.

Gorgeous Venue!
This venue is just gorgeous! We held our reception outside, with the beautiful river view behind us. Pro is that this venue is so close to Rock Hill, yet you are also surrounded by nature. You can walk literally 2 min and take pictures right at the river. The interior is beautiful too. The way it is decorated looks amazing. We only brought flowers and kept the decorations that Brakefield has already set up. Further, working with venue manager Kelly made us feel very homey at the venue. She helped us with everything we needed to plan in advance and also on our wedding day. I would totally recommend this venue to everyone who is looking for an intimate, outdoorsy place.

Amazing Venue
This venue couldn't have been any more perfect for my October 27th wedding. My guests are still gushing about how beautiful and perfect the venue was. Brakefield hosted our wedding on Friday September 14, during the scare of Hurricane Florence. In spite of all of the worry about weather leading up to the day, I can say that everything was AMAZING! During our wedding venue search, Brakefield was actually the place we visited last. As soon as I walked through the door, I fell in love! It literally looks like a small castle! I cannot say enough about the owner Carol and venue manager Kelly. Their professionalism is what really sold me. They happily answered any questions we had leading up to the day and made the entire process as smooth as possible. Brakefield at Riverwalk was an incredible venue for our wedding. The beauty of the surrounding scenery with the river in the background made all of our pictures look incredible without any effort. The decorations inside were elegant and allowed us to spend less time focusing on how to decorate our venue and instead focus on more important matters. The venue itself was built specifically for weddings, so the entire layout works wonderfully. Finally, Carol (the owner) was a treat to work with - completely professional and prompt with everything, helping remove a lot of stress as we approached our wedding date. The in house coordinator, Kelly, was everything we could have hoped for and more in a coordinator - friendly, professional, and yet not afraid to keep other vendors (and guests!) in line so that everything went smoothly. We hesitated a bit when deciding between several venues and could not be happier we chose Brakefield at Riverwalk.

Carol and Kelly at Brakefield were professional and responsive with any questions or concerns. My husband and I were married here May 6, 2018 and could not ask for anything more beautiful and perfect. They addressed all needs we had and were there to help but were not overwhelming or in the way. To be honest the venue cost was way more than we wanted to spend but at the end of the day it was everything we wanted and we got so many compliments on the space and what did with it. I would recommend this venue if you are looking for a charming elegant place overlooking the peaceful Catawba river.

My fiancé and I fell in love with this venue as soon as we saw it! We had looked around at numerous other venues, but nothing compared to this one in price or beauty. It is absolutely stunning!! The owner Carol designed a beautiful venue, and you need very little if any decor. Both Carol & Kelly were awesome to work with. Very responsive & accommodating. We couldn't have found a better venue. The river in the background is the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and the entire grounds are beautiful with so many amazing picture opportunities. Carol and Kelly are both super helpful and respond right away. They were very helpful on the day of the wedding to make sure everything was running smoothly all day. We had about 100 people and there was plenty of space for everything.

Carol designed a stunning venue! Between the venue itself and the beautiful views it is the perfect location for any event. My fiance and I choose Brakefield for our wedding venue and we couldn't have been happier! Carol and Kelly are both wonderful people to work with! If you need any information they will be more than happy to get it for you. Any time I had to contact them they were quick to respond with the information I needed if not more. The venue speaks for itself, it is absolutely beautiful on the inside and out. We had our ceremony outside and the views were phenomenal and our reception inside. Mrs. Carol and her team are AMAZING - After my previous venue went out of business 3 weeks before the wedding I went on a crazy search to find a location that felt like it represented me. After several drive bys looking in windows at different locations from Charlotte to Gastonia I found and email The Brakefield. Mrs. Carol email right back and provided me with empathy and sympathy for my situation - THE ONLY vendor that really listen to me. My daughter and I looked at 5 venues and chose Brakefield. Her wedding was June 17, 2016. We received a better rate as we booked a Friday rather than Saturday. Our guests have not stopped complimenting the venue and nothing could have made us happier than how everything turned out. It is such a beautiful place. It's immaculate, very well manicured landscaping, very elegant. Excellent wedding coordinator on site. We could not have done it without her. She had everything very well planned and timed, without it feeling like it was scheduled. The venue is so well decorated already that it was not a big task to add our personal touch to make it a beautiful wedding. Also, the freedom and flexibility to choose our vendors was really important as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

The staff here are amazing! The day of my wedding it decided to downpour. I had my heart set on having the ceremony outside and wanted to wait to see if the rain would subside before the start of the ceremony. The staff waited until the last possible minute to set up chairs to see if the rain would stop. It didn't and we ended up having the ceremony on the covered patio. I really appreciate their willingness to work with me to help ease the stress of the wedding day.

If you're looking for a wedding venue, stop searching! Brakefield at Riverwalk is an excellent choice. It is picturesque and is gorgeous on the inside and out. The staff are easy to work with, very flexible, and makes you feel at home. My fiance and I visited other venues for our wedding, and we knew that we wouldn't be satisfied until we toured Brakefield. Brakefield at Riverwalk is a hidden gem, and I couldn’t have imagined having our wedding anywhere else! I wanted to find a place that was basically a one stop shop but still gave me the freedom to choose my caterer, planner, etc. Our ceremony took place outside with a gorgeous back drop of the river and greenery, and the reception was inside. Carol takes great pride in this venue, which is evident in every single detail from the beautiful chiavari chairs to the landscaping. So many of our wedding guests are still RAVING about our beautiful venue! Carol and Kelly were so pleasant and accommodating every step of the way too. Brakefield at Riverwalk is the perfect place to have your dream wedding!

Beautiful venue. I loved this venue because the owner built this venue with a bride in mind. She invested a lot in the decorating so that a lot of extra decorations would not need to do a whole lot.

I am so glad we chose Brakefield at Riverwalk as our wedding venue. After looking at 20+ venues in North Carolina, I'm so grateful that we took the short drive to check out Brakefield. From the moment we walked on the property we knew it was where we would get married. Carol and Kelly were great to work with. They were both readily available throughout the entire process and always responded quickly. The venue has everything you could ever need. Great view, beautifully decorated, bridal party suites and much more. Wedding guests are still gushing about our wedding, they all loved the venue. I would highly recommend Brakefield at Riverwalk.

This venue made a breathtaking backdrop for our late September wedding. It was magical right on the river with the beautiful trees and all the soft lighting combined with the rich colors of the interior ballroom. We were able to bring in our own unique personal decor to make it "ours" but really, it was just enhanced by the canvas at the venue. Carol and Kelly were both lovely to deal with and very direct and professional. Couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate one of our lives most important days!

From the very first time we stepped into this venue we know we had a winner. The place is beautiful. Carol is professional and easy to work with. I would recommend this place to have your affair. I especially liked the bridal suite and the grooms suite. The grounds are well kept and it makes for beautiful pictures. It is also easy on your budget.

Our wedding was February 15th, 2014 and that was just after that huge snowstorm. Kelly made sure that all of my guests could enjoy my outdoor wedding and she did so by literally melting the snow off the ground.

When my husband and I first saw Brakefield when we were looking for a venue to have our wedding, we absolutely knew this was the perfect place. It is gorgeous on the inside and gave me a feeling of a castle. We were married outside overlooking the river and the peaceful sound of the river was amazing. Our guests have been commenting for weeks how beautiful this venue is. Carol, the owner, was a joy to work with and always quickly responded to any questions we had. We are thrilled that we found Brakefield to have our wedding and reception at.

My great niece had her wedding at the Brakefield. I am a caterer, event planner and decorator. I was so impressed with the Breakfield and Carol. Carol was professional and always on hand to help, answer any question or assist in anyway.
My staff had the opportunity to cater this event, and I had the opportunity to decorate and work with Carol. Needless to say, the beautifully decorated Brakefield did not need many decorations for this event, or any event.
I would recommend this venue and would rate it 5 stars!
I hope I get the opportunity to work with Carol again.

Brakefield at Riverwalk is an absolutely beautiful place for a wedding. I fell in love with it the moment I found it. Carol is super friendly and helpful. Kelly was on point the day of my wedding. It was supposed to rain so she set up the chairs in the loggia and everything looked just as beautiful as it would have had we been in the lawn area. I am so happy that I chose Brakefield. The ambiance and scenery are priceless. It's not a one stop shop, so if that's what you're looking for, then keep looking. I wanted a place that was unique and breathtaking, and Brakefield was it! All of my guests and family were in awe of its beauty!

Take this to the bank: Brakefield at Riverwalk will soon be known as one of the premier wedding venues across the greater Charlotte, NC area. It will be harder and harder to book as the years go by. Brand new when we scheduled our wedding, we were absolutely blown away by its beauty, charm, and grace. The location is perfect, whether you are indoors or out – or both. Our wedding was a hybrid, in October 2012. We created an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour with an indoor reception -- so our guests enjoyed spectacular views of the Catawba River, while sitting amongst intricate landscaping and fine quality décor that makes this place so unique and upscale. The prep-rooms and lobby are perfectly situated. The ballroom is grand and well-designed. The front entry is fairly-tale like.

The most gorgeous place ever!!! This place is truly a hidden gem. We overlooked it at first and our first initial search. Our planner, Ivy Honeycutt, suggested we look into. When we went there, my husband wanted to get married then and there. It has all the PERFECT elements!! The outside is so serene and the inside is FABULOUS!!! And Carol is the best! Our ceremony was supposed to be outside but due to rain, we had it inside. No one would have known that wasn’t initial plan. It was so gorgeous!!!

We held my daughter's wedding and reception here and it was better than perfect! My daughter booked with Carol as the sheetrock was being put up and there was still red clay for the landscaping. She loved everything about it, and could see Carol's vision and knew it was just what she was looking for in a venue. We had appointments with 3 other venues that day and cancelled them after meeting with Carol and falling in love with Brakefield ( no need to look any futher). The wedding day was perfect, Carol was a big help with everything! Brakefield is elegant and classy, I would highly recommend this venue. If you are looking for elegant, pictuersque scenery and wonderful people to work with, you will find it all here.

Brakefield is a premier event venue with superior quality and services to meet the highest expectations. We booked our wedding day event when we were presented with the vision that Carol had for Brakefield. The venue was unfinished, men were on stilts, silly putty on my fiance's shoes. We even declined the hard hats we were offered; we were sold! Carol was thorough throughout our time with her as clients, and honest to disclose any and all discrepancies regarding our rental contract. Her finishing touches on the building were impeccable. What impressed us most about Carol and her staff is how they are relatable and friendly, but at the same time maintain professionalism. On a Sunday afternoon, here comes Carol waltzing in the bridal and groom suites to wish myself and my husband well, though she wasn't staying through our event. She was thoughtful enough to drop in! Woooooooow! That took us over the moon! My guests were so overwhelmed with the look of the venue. The venue does not need much to bring it to life. We received so many compliments and still have since our wedding ended! Even guests who were not present know of the "classy" event that we put on! Carol is a class act, and what you see is what you get with her. She will always be forthright, and as a business woman, I think that's an awesome characteristic to have! You cannot go wrong choosing Brakefield at Riverwalk to host your next big event. I know we're glad we did!

Being on the of the first to sign a contract I had to go on faith it would be big enough and done in time for my wedding. However, Carol was great and reassured me many times it would be ok and she was right! I highly recommend this venue to any looking for great scenery and great people to work with!

We had our wedding and reception at this facility and everything turned out great! Despite getting "rained out", everyone was more than accommodating. The picturesque scenery made for a wonderful backdrop. Chiavari chairs ad cushions are included in the rental, which makes for a very elegant feel. We were able to bring our own licensed caterer in, so basically you decide what you'd like to spend on catering. The only downside to this venue is that it is so new that oftentimes it doesn't come up on GPS. That can be easily remedied because turn-by-turn directions are on the website and you can also be proactive by placing directions and/or a map in your invitation suite. I would highly recommend this place to brides in the Charlotte area.

Everything was PERFECT!
We signed our contract with Carol before the building was complete; as a matter of fact, there was still red clay on the ground when we signed!. We fell in love with her vision and what she offered. Scenic venue
The Brakefield at Riverwalk was the perfect venue for me and my husband. Located on the Catawba River with scenic views. This venue was decorated beautifully. Erin, the event manager was very helpful with our questions and planning. She truly went above and beyond to make our day special. The venue offers rooms to get ready prior to your event, as well. I highly recommend this venue. It's beautiful!

This was a beautiful place to have both the ceremony and the reception. Ms. Carol was wonderful to work with. The only downfall to this location is that it is so new it is unavailable from GPS and Mapquest. A few of our guests were unable to locate the establishment.

Brakefield was the PERFECT venue for our wedding. I so was pleased that my grandmother recommended the venue because it did not come up during our search for venues in/near Charlotte. The backdrop of the Catawba River was magical during our ceremony and when taking pictures. All of our guest raved about the venue space being so beautiful. Carol worked with us and saved our vendors time and us money so we appreciate that. You can dress the space up to be anything you want it to be or just use the venue as it is beautiful!!!

We searched high and low for a venue - from Durham, NC to Rock Hill, SC. We hunted all over uptown Charlotte, we went to the middle of nowhere, we spent hours on the internet looking for places. so when we finally came across Brakefield, I was so impressed that I'm pretty sure we signed a contract the same day.
It's a big open space that you can really do what you want with. The dance floor is already there. They've got a nice projector that you can use (we showed some of our favorite photos on it). They include chivari chairs which is nice if you care about that sort of thing. And, at least for a Saturday, you get the venue for the entire day, so you're not rushed or anything. that made our day go very smoothly.
The day of our wedding, Kelly went above and beyond to make sure the ceremony and reception went smoothly. She wanted to make sure that we (the bride and groom) had an amazing, carefree day and she made it happen. I cannot thank her enough for what she did for us.
I didn't like that if we wanted bar we had to order from them, but they were flexible on some of our bar options, so in the end it worked out.

Renting the Carriage House is ABSOLUTELY worth the additional money... my husband and his groomsmen stayed in the Carriage House, watched football, and got ready (some pictures of them were taken there). Me and my girls were in the bridal dressing area at the front of the venue and it was a nice area to get prepared (it is small, however). The venue is very versatile, clean, and user friendly. The staff were friendly and easy to work with. One thing I would comment on as an encouraged change, would be that the alcohol quantity and variety offered to the bridal party while setting up/getting ready at the venue needs updating- there needs to be larger quantities with better drinks of choice/more options.
