Bokeh Lane Photography is a small couple owned wedding photography company photographing in DC, Maryland, Virginia, Philadelphia, and New York City run by Nicole and Jose. We focus on photographing genuine, candid moments that naturally occur and avoid using stiff posing. Our clean and modern style is still classic and elegant and helps you remember how your Wedding Day felt and looked. We are not stuffy photographers, we love laughing and having fun with our couples and making their time with us an experience they’ll always want to remember.

Jose and Nicole were a dream to work with and we hit it off right away! They did a gorgeous engagement shoot for us and also photographed the big day. They did the most fantastic job and we love every single one of our photos! They are super creative and you will not be disappointed! We felt so comfortable around them from day one and it was a joy to have them at the wedding. They put so much time and effort into the timeline that it helped the day run so smoothly. Even our other vendors worked off their timeline too, so it was super helpful! Jose and Nicole were also very flexible. They allowed us to add additional time about a week before the wedding. We were also having such a blast the day of that Nicole and Jose ended up staying even later and just billed us after, which was super convenient! After the wedding, it did take longer than expected to receive the photos and at times they were slow to respond. Overall, however, we were super pleased with our gorgeous photos and would recommend them!

Loved working with Jose & Nicole
We are a wedding venue and had the pleasure of working with Jose & Nicole. Our clients got so many gorgeous wedding pictures and romantic evening photos in our greenhouse and English garden. We loved them so much we hired them for our family Christmas photos and heads shots! They are our favorite photos of our family yet! We can't wait to hire or work with them again for they are on our preferred vendor list!

Great experience, great friends
Jose and Nicole are exceptionally talented and know exactly what to do to make a wedding experience the most memorable. Me and my wife were honored to have them as part of our entire wedding experience from them committing to come all the way down to New Orleans, LA for our original wedding through our COVID-postponed plans in Berryville, VA. They were professional and flexible during the uncertainty we had in the spring and eventually took amazing photos at our rescheduled wedding in August. Additonally, they went above and beyond on our "would be wedding day," surprising my wife with a bridal bouquet and then doing a virtual photoshoot with us via facetime to capture our emotions on that uniquely memorable day. The photos, every single one of them, from both engagement shoots, to the virtual facetime shoot and our actual wedding day, came out better than we could have imagined. We consider them close friends at this point because they were so fun to work with and easy to get to know. I am not usually comfortable having my picture taken repeatedly, but because we felt so comfortable with Jose and Nicole, it was a lot easier.

Wonderful Photographers

Excellent photographers, beautiful photos
Nicole and Jose of Bokeh Lane Photography are simply wonderful! So energetic and creative! They shot our engagement session and are slated to shoot our wedding whenever COVID allows for that. We wanted a photographer that has a great eye for candid shots and heard about these two from a friend who had their engagement and wedding shot by them. My friend’s pictures were beautiful, so I reached out to Nicole and Jose. They helped us with every step of the process, even with picking out outfits before the shoot. They’re kind and professional and just so easy to work with. I am not used to being in front of the camera,
whereas my fiance is a natural in front of the camera. I told them that up front and they made sure to make me feel comfortable while just letting my fiance be himself, and the pictures came out so great! They are highly responsive as far as communication goes and prices are extremely reasonable for such high quality work. Highly highly recommend!

Amazing experience with Bokeh Lane Photogaphy!
The Bokeh Lane Photography team are amazingly talented photographers! They continually made us feel comfortable and natural throughout the engagement photo process, and helped make it an extremely enjoyable experience! Fun maternity shoot
We hired Jose and Nicole to do maternity and newborn photos for us. They did a fantastic job and I was blown away by the maternity photos. Jose made the photo shoot fun and easy. He really took his time ensuring all the poses and settings were just right. Our newborn session was canceled due to COVID-19 but Jose offered to reschedule to do a family shoot once this mess is all over. I can’t wait to continue to work with Bokeh Lane in the future for all of our family photo needs.

Incredible photographers!
We loved working with Nicole and Jose! They were really easy to work with through the engagement shoot, planning up to the day of, and the actual wedding day. We got so many compliments about how organized they were (and fast!) for getting through the family and wedding party portraits, and they really helped us plan every minute of our day. We just got the pictures back and they are incredible, and we love how they separated each section of the day (getting ready, family portraits, ceremony, reception, etc.) so everything is easily accessible. We loved working with them and would highly recommend for any event!

Highly recommend
Jose and Nicole were so amazing to work with from the very beginning! They made my (now husband) feel comfortable in front of the camera which was crazy being as he hates taking photos! They captured amazing photos for our engagement shoot and it was even better on our actual wedding day! As a bride I was stressed when things were getting off timeline and Nicole always kept me calm! They were checking in with us and always make sure we were comfortable throughout the nights!

Wonderful eye for detail and ability to capture the moment
Jose and Nicole were a true delight to work with. They were very thorough in their preparations - from working with our daughter and son-in-law throughout the planning process to make sure they understood the exact style/feel of what they wanted to have captured on their special day, to putting together a very detailed shot list so everyone was on the same page. The day of the wedding, they were wonderful! They were patient, efficient, and easy-going in nature ... which really helped to keep everyone's nerves at bay. Their eye for detail is exceptional - and we so loved how they were able to capture the feelings of everyone as they were in that moment. We have loved every single one of the sneak photos they sent us within 48 hours of our event, and we can not wait to see the rest of the shots from that day.
Thank you Jose and Nicole for helping to make our daughter and husband's day the wedding of their dreams, and for capturing those memories for them so beautifully so they can relive their day over and over again.

Jose and Nicole are a dream come true pair of photographers, they are certainly a dynamic duo! Easy going yet extremely professional.
Bowling Green has worked with many photographers in the past and I must say I am always a tad anxious when a new photographer comes to a wedding, just not knowing what to expect. This couple puts you at ease from the start and is willing and able to roll with anything that comes their way, be that inclement weather or timeline delays.
I could go on and on but ultimately their photos say it all...absolutely stunning!!
While they may not like mushrooms they sure do take the very best photos!!!!
