We hired Bob Gail's dance band "Higher Ground" for our wedding last month at the Bel Air Bay Club. Having a live band at our wedding was always my dream but admittedly not my fiancee's or her family's. Any skepticsim completely evaporated by the time the wedding reception started. Our band--11 pieces, including trombone--was spectacular. I really can't say enough about how fun the evening was with Higher Ground leading the dance floor. We, and all our guests, danced non-stop. From start to finish, the band's song selections perfectly matched the energy throughout the evening. Every member was super talented, with the lead singers perfectly capturing the sound and feel of the original songs but with an energy that is only possible performed live. We were seriously impressed with their sheer versatility, jumping effortlessly between different genres and eras. We also had a few specific requests that the band very flexibily accommodated. We had choreography for our first dance and the band offered to rehearse with us before the reception. We also wanted to play some recorded songs during the band's breaks and they wove our songs into their own set list seamlessly. Bob Gail also offered a very intuitive song selection tool on which we could specify which songs we wanted to hear at the wedding. They even went out of their way to learn a song that was not part of their set list but that they knew we love. The band members were also incredibly friendly and gracious. They felt like a part of the family for the night. Even now, a month after the wedding, we still have family members tell us how great the band was and one guest even told me she can't wait to hire them for her own son's wedding no matter the cost.

My husband and I remembered loving the band when we attended a wedding in LA. So, for our wedding, we hired the band to come to Bend, Oregon.

Boy, were they a hit! Scott and the team were so easy to work with and they went above and beyond our expectations. If you ever wonder what band can play a classic 80s song followed by trap music successfully, it would be Bob Gail, hands down. We’ve gotten so many compliments from friends and family. The consensus is that this band is the best that any of our wedding guests have ever heard. The band kept the dancing vibes high and even impromptu played a part of a song to accompany a speech. We’d get married again and again so we can hired them again.

The band even learned an obscure piece of music for my processional within a week!

We are 7 weeks out from our wedding and honestly still coming down from the high! We wanted to send a thank you note to both of you as well as the whole band. We cannot express enough how AMAZING you were!!!

We knew by booking you it was going to be a fabulous experience but the caliber, energy, performance, repertoire was out of this world!!!!! We can honestly say you completely outdid yourselves! Our goal was to have all seats empty and the dance floor full and did you over deliver! We have had many (and by many, I mean most!) guests comment on the wedding, specifically about the band. It was truly a memorable night (a lot by your doing), where our group was able to come together and celebrate.

We have been to many weddings with mediocre bands, or worse yet a DJ. Here we had fantastic musicianship, along with flexibility of song selection. We collaborated with them to form the setlist of my dreams. The dance floor was going the entire night.

I cannot say enough good things about this band and the entire experience of working with them. Every member of this band is a super celebrated and incredibly talented musician in their own right and when they come together it is the most incredible experience. concerns and understand that for you the wedding
is the most important day of your year and that you
want it to be perfect. With Bob Gail Music it will be
perfect. The right band makes an evening and Jump
Start was the right band, and Bob Gail Music are the
right people. I can't wait to have have another party
just because.

Bob Gail Music/The Backlines performed at our wedding and the compliments have not stopped rolling in since. They were unbelievable and kept the crowd on their feet from the very first minute til close. We were blown away by the band, period. Even prior to the wedding day, Scott and his team were super professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The band learned a few new songs for us and tailored the entire evening to what we are remembering now as the best concert we’ve ever been to with all of our loved ones. Hire them! I can not say enough good things about Higher Ground! We initially had another band for our wedding (Traffic Jam) who, when we had to reschedule due to COVID, screwed us over and took our deposit. We lucked out that Higher Ground was still available, and talk about a blessing in disguise: they were definitely the band we were meant to have for our wedding! Unlike our first experience with Traffic Jam, from the very beginning, working with Brian and Scott was easy. They were upfront, responsive, and fun!

And then at the wedding... they blew us and our guests away! Seriously, we had SO many people comment on how great the band was. Their range is unreal -- it's amazing how many covers they can do that sound just like the real artists. They learned several new songs which we requested in advance, which made our song list extra special for us. Higher Ground made our wedding what we wanted to be - a wedding where the guests were constantly partying on the dance floor. If you're looking for a top-notch wedding band, look no further.

Bob Gail Music and Higher Ground were the absolute highlight of our wedding. I can't tell you how many people raved about them - their sound, their talent, their presentation, their energy!! These musicians are ALL STARS. I was worried that during a COVID wedding (we were 70 strong) no one would dance. 1st song after dinner every one was up and it didn't stop for 3 hours!! It was so fun and full of joy and happiness. And most of my guests were in the entertainment industry...so their had high expectations!

Wow. Discovering Bob Gail music was a fantastic find. When I first heard their music and watched their videos, I knew that this was the perfect band to refer to my couples. They never cease to amaze me. This past weekend we did a very safe social distanced wedding. The band all wore masks. They had plexi glass in front of them. Yet they brought themselves 100 percent to the wedding. It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The guests were blown away. A simple intimate wedding and it was so safe.
