Excellent Food & Service.

All my guests loved the food options; it was not your typical wedding food, and all the guests are still talking about how delicious it was. The service was top-notch, thanks to the off-site manager and his assistant. They went above and beyond to make our day special, and I appreciate it. The only hiccup was that we were not made aware of the room fee for our rehearsal dinner, but they made up for it in other ways. I really appreciate them working with us and coming up with a budget-friendly rehearsal dinner. I highly recommend them.

Thank you!

We had Black Dog cater our wedding at StoneHurst at Hampton Valley and it was honestly the best food we've ever had!! From the candied bacon, to the brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, etc!! Our guests are still talking about the food!! We did the BBQ buffet and it exceed our expectations! Thank you so much again for everything!!! Love, Casey & Jeff 8/28/2021

You Don't Need Another Option

I have to start off by saying that we had to use them because of the venue we chose. We also didn't have a tasting because of COVID and I was VERY nervous about not getting to try the food that our guests would be having. Luckily our option of the food allowed us to try the restaurant instead and oh MAN was it fabulous. It's an hour from where we live and we still intend to go back a couple times every year. Needless to say we were no longer worried about the food at our wedding being anything but delicious. We were right not to worry. People still tell us how awesome our wedding food was (even though we were so busy the day of that we barely got to enjoy it)!

Don't worry about not being able to choose someone else if you don't have the choice and if you do have the choice, CHOOSE THEM!

My guests loved it!

I personally didn’t get to eat much day of my wedding (my coordinator didn’t see that as a necessity) but my husband and guests could not get enough of the food! We did a bbq buffet, the Mac and cheese was so amazing that my father-in-law asked for the recipe! And the beef brisket.. wow!

AMAZING Food for our Rehearsal & Wedding!

My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner at Black Dog and set everything up through the Catering & Events Manager, Abbey. They had a wonderful menu to choose from, decorated this beautiful, private room for us and staffed our event. The food was AMAZING, servers were absolutely fantastic and Abbey made sure our night was perfect. We also had Black Dog cater our wedding at Stonehurst, and the food couldn't have been better- nonstop compliments from our guests. Thank you guys so much for a couple of stress-free, delicious evenings!!!

Amazing food & service!

First off, Abbey, the Catering Manager is absolutely the nicest person ever! She and the staff at the Black Dog made our Rehearsal Dinner feel so personalized as if they'd known us for years! The little touches to the decor, the wait staffs friendliness and professionalism. At our wedding, we were expecting small portions because that's usually what you get at a wedding...ALL of my guests couldn't say enough about the food! The prime rib was out of this world and they were big, thick slabs too! Everyone at the Black Dog really are phenomenal people! Thank you all so much!

Yummy BBQ!

My fiancé and I love eating at Black dog, so when we found out they were the caterers for our venue we were thrilled. So many options and even a more laid back BBQ style which we love!

Strange experience

I can't really give them a one star on quality or value as we never got past the initial contract. (wedding Wire requires a star for each item be selected before you write the review, so I had no choice). My issue is that after receiving their proposal, I called, emailed and texted as I was instructed to do and no one ever got back to me. It's been weeks. They completely ghosted me.
