David Alan is more than just a catering company. They are EVERYTHING you need to pull off the wedding of your dreams, especially if you're like me and didn't want to hire a wedding planner. Rachael Anthony was my coordinator and my wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion literally would not have been the amazing night it was without her. If you use David Alan ASK FOR RACHAEL! I wanted an entirely outdoor wedding, and despite the threat of rain, she made it happen (logistically outdoor weddings can be extremely difficult).
Now of course, I'd recommend them solely based on the food. Everyone, and I mean everyone, told us it was the best wedding steak they'd ever had. Perhaps, even the best steak in general. But they are so much more than the incredible food. Rachael helped me bring my vision to life. I had so many little details I wanted executed and a big vision for all of the decor. Rachael spent hours with me planning, organizing and giving insight from her years of experience in the biz. In all the photos you'll see in this post, Rachael coordinated it all for me to genuinely make my dreams come true. She pulled me aside before guests arrived so I could soak it up before the craziness of the day began. I cried seeing all the hard work and details coming together so perfectly. It was all because of her. From my dance floor rentals, tent rental, the champagne glasses and raspberries I bought on my own to cut down on costs (which she let me do) to the bar set up. Everything was just perfect.
Not to mention, she was extremely open and honest in helping me work within my budget and then keeping me on budget! LOL David Alan allows clients to provide their own alcohol and it saved us so much money! Plus, they packed all the rest up for us at the end of the night so we got to keep the leftovers. I have so much love for DAC and genuinely can't recommend them enough. ESPECIALLY if you are doing an outdoor wedding, and/or getting married at the Wadsworth, you should hire them without a doubt.

David Alan Hospitality Group catered our wedding on September 6th, 2025, and they were absolutely amazing from start to finish! We had a beer and wine bar, passed hors d'oeuvres, and a buffet dinner with garlic thyme chicken, teres major, garlic mashed potatoes, rigatoni ala vodka, and sautéed green beans. We also had a charcuterie platter that was so fresh and presented beautifully! Everything was so fresh and delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was! The staff was incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive to us and our guests all night. My husband and I had a personal attendant that made sure our plates and glasses were never empty. They made sure everything ran smoothly and that we always had what we needed. It really allowed us to relax and enjoy our day. I want to shoutout Meghan, Ashley and Rachel for being so easy to reach throughout the planning process. Your professionalism is incredible. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and would 100% recommend David Alan Hospitality Group to anyone looking for great food and amazing service on their wedding day!

Booked with my wedding planner so majority of the communication was done through my planner but on the day of the wedding I had a personal assistant who ensured my husband and I was taken care of and attended to which was nice. I know that is very typical but the person we had we very attentive but not over-bearing. I liked how the company had everything included from table rentals to linen and silverware and chargers. My only thing is it the salmon option I had during the tasting had a mango salad served with it but this changed somewhere along the planning process to a garlic yogurt sauce that I was not a fan of.

David Alan Hospitality Group (DAHG) was incredible to work with! The food was absolutely delicious, and the team went above and beyond to help us stay organized and accommodate our requests with flexibility. They were professional, responsive, and a true pleasure to work with from start to finish.

We really enjoyed our tasting - it was such a treat to sample so many options, and it made us confident in our menu choices. On the wedding day, everything came together seamlessly, and our guests are still raving about the food.

On top of it all, the value was outstanding. We loved working with the entire DAHG team and highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or special event!

We just had our wedding on 5/10/25 and DAHG was a key vendor that made our day so perfect. My dad, who passed away 10 years ago, was actually named David Alan spelled exactly the same way. So when we first booked the Wadsworth Mansion as our venue and saw this preferred caterer it felt like fate. After a tasting we knew it was the right fit. We were so well taken care of by the whole DAHG team from start to finish throughout 2 years of planning including 2 tastings, tons of back and forth emails, final details calls, a day before walkthrough at the venue and most importantly the flawless execution of our wedding event. I can't tell you how many times throughout the night our guests were saying "best wedding food ever" and truly, when we were walking around to try and greet all the tables people were legitimately cleaning their whole plates. The service we received as the bride and groom was absolutely above and beyond - starting from a bridal suite refreshment plate and water pitcher for me and my girls which was the perfect snack to tide us all over through the ceremony. Our bridal attendant brought us drinks immediately after the ceremony and refreshments while we were out taking photos during cocktail hour. They checked on us all night long and refreshed our drinks so we never had to go to the bar ourselves. We really like moscow mules but ginger beer isn't a standard mixer so we did a Costco run and provided that to them, and they were happy to make those all night for us and any guests. And they ended up being a huge hit! I just can't recommend DAHG enough, the entire team is exceptional from the event producers to the day-of staff, and the chefs behind the scenes. They were such a massive part of our very special day.

Words can not begin to describe how blown away we are by David Alan Catering. My husband and I are huge foodies and when I came to planning our wedding, good food was the top of our priority list. We did tastings with several caterers but when we did our tasting with David Alan we immediately knew they would hit it out of the park. We had people coming up to us at our wedding telling us how amazing the food was. And as if the food isn’t enough reason to book, the team is so kind and eager to help and flexible. They stopped at nothing to make sure our food vision came to life. David Alan is one of the best decisions we could have made when planning our wedding. We chose David Alan Hospitality Group as our wedding caterer at the Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, CT. David Alan was among their preferred vendor list and after researching all of the options, it was the best choice. Their pricing was extremely fair, their options were endless, and their staffing was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. We worked with Rachael throughout the planning process, who was extremely attentive and always available to help us/answer our questions. On the day of, our main coordinator was Jenaya who was equally as amazing! On top of all this, the food was AMAZING. We loved our food at the tasting and it was just as good, if not better, the day of. Many guests, even 1 month later, are still complimenting us on how amazing the food was. Sometimes at weddings the food can be sub-par, but I can truthfully say that David Alan's food is incredibly delicious.
