Krysti is everything anyone could want in a seamstress. She completed all my dress alterations within the expected timeline and provided suggestions that were immensely helpful. She created a one-of-a-kind lace topper that I wore over my dress during the ceremony and adjusted my straps not once, but twice, when I asked to make sure they fit just right. My dress turned out so perfectly and I would gladly recommend her services to any future bride. Very reasonable cost and her sewing skills are top-notch. Couldn't recommend her more!

I worked with Krysti for both my wedding dress and rehearsal outfit for my wedding in August 2022. She did a stunning job with my dress. It fit like a glove, and she even added buttons to make it more comfortable and secure. Her real magic was with my rehearsal outfit though. I brought her my mother’s wedding gown with puffy sleeves, a full skirt and a much too small bodice and asked her to make me a short and top set from it. She partnered with me every step of the way to ensure I liked everything. In the end it was even better than I could have imagined. My mother was in tears, and I felt so beautiful. I would recommend Behind the Seams to any and all friends in the Portland area needing a bridal seamstress!

Krysti did an incredible job making a few adjustments to my wedding dress! I had a few minor aesthetic changes I wanted to make, but mostly needed the straps taken in a bit, the bust to fit more snugly, and for the dress to be hemmed and bustled. She did all of these things perfectly without any visible changes to the dress and for half the price of what a shop in Portland proper was charging. I also ended up purchasing my veil and a decorative hair piece from her, both of which were very affordable. I would happily recommend anyone go to Krysti for wedding dress alterations!

This lady is amazing! She's truly one of those people you meet and see that they have a true talent for what they do. She altered my huge ball gown dress in about three weeks time, with no adjustments needed! Her prices are also very reasonable given all the work that I needed on my dress. Aside from getting the bust taken in and busted up, I had a multi-layer skirt that needed hemming and custom lace work. I definitely recommend taking your dress to her!

Krysti is amazing. She is extremely prompt, respectful, and skilled. Her prices are unbelievably inexpensive for the quality and professionalism of her work. She was accommodating with schedule changes and always responsive. Her workspace is a bit of a trek for me, but it was beyond worth it. I will highly recommend her to all brides!

Krysti has a tremendous talent and a wonderful heart. I brought her my dress from Adorned in Grace with ideas to change the top style - I described my dress and she made it exactly to what I described, but it turned out that I was all wrong - it looked all wrong on me, I was so embarrassed because she had done a lot of work and it was quality work. But she was so kind and reassured me that it would all be ok - I got her some more fabric and we tried round two and the dress was perfect. She did such an amazing job and never made me feel stupid or anything other than confident in my dress. My guests were constantly telling me how my dress was so perfect on me - that was 100% Krysti!!!
