I found Karen - the owner - on Instagram (and recommended by another artist who wasn’t available on my original date) and we immediately connected. Karen is a lovely human and even more talented. I wanted my hair and makeup to be natural, but a bit glam. I didn’t have a bridal party, so it was a small group of myself, my sister, and my mom and mother-in-law.

I booked Karen back in late 2019, but then… pandemic. When the pandemic hit, she didn’t miss a beat and held my reservation for an entire year (at no additional cost). She added a second artist to help us with the timing of our day - who was equally as wonderful and talented. Karen’s team was communicative, respectful of my budget and requests, punctual, and attentive to detail.

We had a trial in the middle of the pandemic, and Karen ensured safety and comfort for myself and my mom and mother-in-law. My day of hair and makeup was even better than my trial! It was exactly how I wanted it and I am so happy with how I looked. The moms were equally as happy and my sister looked gorgeous! Highly recommend. Karen and her team were so amazing for on-site hair and make-up wedding services. They arrived promptly for an early morning start, were able to get 11 hair + makeup services (bride, 6 maids, MOB, MOG, flower girl etc) done on time giving us all full attention and not making us feel rushed. There was even time for touchups! Karen has such a calm and confident demeanor that is really great for a hectic day-of. Karen was the most perfect choice to do my hair and make up on my wedding day. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would. Months before I found her, I had a horrible trial with a stylist who was clearly not used to working with clients with my hair texture or skin tone. After that experience, I felt a little defeated and was considering not doing my make up at all. Until I found Karen. I decided to give her a shot and she blew me away. From the moment we started communicating, she was professional, open, warm, and incredibly accommodating. I went to my trial and ended up looking better than I could have ever imagined. She listened to what I wanted and did it exactly. She then checked in with me not only later in the day to make sure it was holding up, but also a few times before the day of to see if I had any changes. Then the day of, she was prompt and did the hair of several other members of my bridal party. They all looked amazing. She then did my hair and make up and again, I was blown away. I felt like myself (which was so important to me), but with some extra flare. She is so talented. I wholeheartedly recommend her and if I ever need my hair and make up done for anything else, she will be the person I call.

I reached out to Karen shortly before my February wedding and she was amazingly accommodating. On the morning of my wedding it felt like I was getting ready with an old friend, not just the amazingly talented professional that she is. She showed me options, "down or up", "pulled here or here" which helped my "I have no specific idea what I want". My hair looked beautiful (and stayed perfect despite taking lots of pictures outside with some wind), my makeup looked better than I ever expected, and it was an absolute pleasure working with her. I highly, highly recommend!

I could not have been happier with my experience! Karen is really easy to talk to and made me feel super comfortable during the trial. She arrived exactly on time at my hotel the morning of the wedding and was ready to go. My makeup and hair looked amazing for my wedding and it didn't need to be touched up the entire night. Karen was a joy to work with for my wedding. Her portfolio drew me in, and her professional, prompt, and friendly manner sealed the deal for me! She was very friendly during my hair trials (it took me two trials to decide what I really wanted), and both had lots of ideas for directions to go in, and was very flexible to work in what I pictured.
She's a masterful hair stylist, I never worried about that - on the day of my wedding, she really came through! I found that the space I had wanted to get ready in was locked, and was left with a small dim corner of a chapel basement. Although I was near tears, Karen set up her near one of the outlets available and worked through obstacles like low overhead pipes, cramped space, and dimness. I and my maids came out with hair that was perfect for us, and it held beautifully all night. I would highly recommend Karen based on her professionalism, enthusiasm, and flexibility!
