If you are a bride that is searching for a makeup and hair artist, stop what you are doing and book Beauty by Luna! I found Karen - the owner - on Instagram (and recommended by another artist who wasn’t available on my original date) and we immediately connected. Karen is a lovely human and even more talented. I wanted my hair and makeup to be natural, but a bit glam. I didn’t have a bridal party, so it was a small group of myself, my sister, and my mom and mother-in-law.
I booked Karen back in late 2019, but then… pandemic. When the pandemic hit, she didn’t miss a beat and held my reservation for an entire year (at no additional cost). She added a second artist to help us with the timing of our day - who was equally as wonderful and talented. Karen’s team was communicative, respectful of my budget and requests, punctual, and attentive to detail.
We had a trial in the middle of the pandemic, and Karen ensured safety and comfort for myself and my mom and mother-in-law. My day of hair and makeup was even better than my trial! It was exactly how I wanted it and I am so happy with how I looked. The moms were equally as happy and my sister looked gorgeous! Highly recommend. Thank you so much to Karen and her team, for your care and attention and helping me feel beautiful on my wedding day. -

Karen Luna is AMAZING! I hired her for bridal and bridal party hair and makeup, and I also had a trial with her. Karen is so talented and was able to put together the dream look based on photos and my vision for the whole wedding day. She is so calming and helped keep all of us relaxed; and she and Kayla made me, our sisters and our moms feel so special. I would reach out to her again in a heartbeat and encourage everyone to do the same! -

Say Yes ... to Karen!
Karen and her team were so amazing for on-site hair and make-up wedding services. They arrived promptly for an early morning start, were able to get 11 hair + makeup services (bride, 6 maids, MOB, MOG, flower girl etc) done on time giving us all full attention and not making us feel rushed. There was even time for touchups! Karen has such a calm and confident demeanor that is really great for a hectic day-of. Her team was able to adapt quickly to some issues we had with our getting-ready building. I have already recommended her to family and friends for her services. Thank you Karen Eye of Luna beauty!! -

Amazing Experience
I could not have been happier with my experience! Karen is really easy to talk to and made me feel super comfortable during the trial. She arrived exactly on time at my hotel the morning of the wedding and was ready to go. My makeup and hair looked amazing for my wedding and it didn't need to be touched up the entire night. My bridesmaids all loved their makeup & hair as well! I definitely recommend her! -

Karen was a joy to work with for my wedding. Her portfolio drew me in, and her professional, prompt, and friendly manner sealed the deal for me! She was very friendly during my hair trials (it took me two trials to decide what I really wanted), and both had lots of ideas for directions to go in, and was very flexible to work in what I pictured.
She's a masterful hair stylist, I never worried about that - on the day of my wedding, she really came through! I found that the space I had wanted to get ready in was locked, and was left with a small dim corner of a chapel basement. Although I was near tears, Karen set up her near one of the outlets available and worked through obstacles like low overhead pipes, cramped space, and dimness. I and my maids came out with hair that was perfect for us, and it held beautifully all night. I would highly recommend Karen based on her professionalism, enthusiasm, and flexibility! -

Jillian Sent on 09/27/2018Karen is amazing. She knows how to make you look natural. And it was the perfect. The make-up held through the whole day. I didn't have to re apply. She cares about your opinion and style. She helped me surprise my husband on our rehearsal dinner. Beautiful style she made my hair which is short and fine to have volume and she added a hair piece to make it special. I recommend her to anyone and for my bridesmaids.

Diana Sent on 10/14/2018Karen was fantastic! Not only did she do the most wonderful job on my hair, she was a life saver at my wedding! I had to make a tough last minute decision (and by last minute I mean a week and a half before my wedding) to cancel the wedding hair services of my long-term stylist as a result of a terrible trial and a last minute significant raise in prices. My makeup artist, Marisa Verdi of Flawless Image Makeup, recommended Karen as they've worked together in the past. I'm so happy she did!
Karen squeezed me in at the last minute even though she had another bride's hair to do later in the day. She also found an assistant that did updo's for 4 of my bridesmaids, my MOH, flower girl and blowouts for 3 family members. Everyone's hair looked fabulous! Karen also made time for us to do a trial literally the weekend before my wedding. I took the train up from the city to Ossining for the trial. I told her I wanted a loose updo with a romantic style and showed her a couple inspiration photos from pinterest. She knew exactly what to do to bring my vision to life! She quickly did two different styles and we decided on a texturized bun, loosely pull back in the front with a couple flyaway curls. She had some hairpieces so we tried the styles with them so I'd know what to order for the wedding.
The day of the wedding Karen and her assistant showed up on time with all their equipment. They quickly set up and got to work. They worked efficiently and brought a calm and professionalism into the environment which was just what my wedding day nerves needed! Karen knew exactly what do with my hair after our trial (I highly recommend doing a trial, even if it is the weekend before your wedding!) and my hair came out perfectly. It also held the whole day and night.

Amy Sent on 06/16/2018I just had my wedding last weekend and my hair and makeup looked so good! Karen was so timely and professional the entire time, and I really enjoyed working with her. Her friendliness and expertise was evident the entire time, even when she was providing her trial services. All of my bridesmaids loved their looks for the wedding, so I'm very impressed at how smoothly the whole process ran! Everything was so wonderful the day of my wedding, and Karen truly made it even better. :)

I got tons of compliments about how beautiful my hair looked, and she gave me a great natural look with the make-up that made me feel comfortable yet glamorous at the same time. I’ve never felt so beautiful! Hire her and you won’t regret it!!!
