One of the deciding factors for our wedding at the Bear Mountain Inn was the on-site Bear Mountain Salon. I loved being able to schedule my wedding party's hair and makeup on-site the day of the wedding; it helped keep the wedding day stress-free. During my hair and makeup trial, I never felt rushed, and the stylists took their time walking me through every decision. Several of our guests were even able to enjoy massages that weekend, and they were so grateful! The entire wedding party looked fabulous, and our pictures benefited from the stylists' great work. I felt so beautiful!

The Bear Mountain Spa really made my trial and wedding day wonderful and special - not just for my, but for my bridal party and family as well. Annatte and her team welcomed us all as if the salon were our room away from our room. It felt like the party had started that day the moment we walked into the Spa. With Seleina on nails, Diane on hair and America on make-up, I could not have imagined a better group of artists to create this perfect masterpiece. I am still getting compliments on their work days later. Annatte really runs a great show. A+. Brava. The best pit crew a girl could have.

The girls were all kind hearted, friendly and very patient with us. Sacrificed time and some money for us all. I greatly appreciated all they did for Amy the Bride and all of us girls. Im sure i speak for everyone of us. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

The girls at the spa are fantastic . My wedding party was between the ages of 5 - 72 and all of them looked fabulous. Annette and the the rest of the girls at the spa were professional, fun, and more then accommodating to all of our needs. They asked us what we wanted and delivered with more then what we could hope for. I can not wait to go for a relaxing weekend with my wonderful husband.

We had our wedding in West Point and used the Bear Mountain Spa for our hair & make-up. They are close to the Thayer Hotel which is why we chose them. The best choice for hair & makeup. The wedding coordinator Annette was so nice and helpful with booking both my trial and for the day off. I live quite a distance from West Point and she had the hair stylist and makeup artist come in after hours to do our (me & my mom) trial. The day of my wedding was a blast. She turned up the dance music in the salon area (with massages going on in the back) to get us ready. Diane & America were fantastic. My makeup was flawless and my hair did not move out of place the entire night. The rest of my bridal party loved it as well. Thumbs up to you all!!

I had the pleasure of getting my hair and make up done by Lisa and Priscilla for my wedding at the overlook lodge. They did a fantastic job, and are both so sweet and nice. Loved working with them!

The Spa at Bear Mountain is a perfect choice if you are getting married at West Point. You can either come to their salon or they will also come to your hotel room at the Thayer. I chose to use the salon since we were a large group (9 girls for both hair and make-up) and I didn't want everyone in my room They are less than 15 minutes from door to door.
They had a full staff waiting for us and even had someone to do a manicure for my bridesmaid who came in from out of town and didn't have time to get it done before she arrived. I was lucky enough to get a last minute massage before it was time to get my hair and make-up done. The perfect way to calm my nerves!! They were very professional and our hair and make-up not only looked as natural as can be, but also stayed in for the entire night.
I would recommend to all West Point Brides to try it out.

Bear Mountain Spa did the hair and make up for my daughter's wedding, and we could not have been happier with their services. It was a morning wedding and we needed to start at 6:30AM, The spa was very flexible with their starting time . Annette, the spa manager was there as well to assure that everything was on time and moved smoothly. Lisa and Jackie arrived right on time and they were a pleasure to work with. The bride looked gorgeous and the entire bridal party was completely satisfied with how they looked. (They did not charge us extra for the early hour. We did add some extra for the girls however)

As a bride planning a Norse Pagan wedding, it can be difficult finding a makeup artist and hair dresser that can transform your ideas and make them 20 x better than what you envisioned. They were so professional with booking the trial appointment and also the day of the wedding. Lisa, the make up artist, knocked it out the park with the trial and out did herself the day of by adding Pagan like marking on my face to turn up my look several notches. Jackie the hairdresser created this epic thick Viking like braid which made me redo my thought of having a crown- I didn’t want to hide the gorgeous work she did! And by the way, both makeup and hair are industrial strength! I still have my braid intact and it’s been three days and despite all the happy crying my makeup did not come off a bit! If you are a bride getting married at Bear Mountain or just visiting, please don’t miss out on visiting the spa! Love you guys and hope to see you again when we visit!

We had a wonderful time getting our hair and make up done. Very Fair price considering we didn't have to drive anywhere. We tried a local place and they wanted almost double to come in. The hair and make-up lasted all night (even into the next morning). I did read other comments about the gratuity and yes, we did add gratuity but isn't that customary to add to the people the make your wedding day so special. Thank you Bear Mountain Spa.
