    Wonderful stylists.

    One of the deciding factors for our wedding at the Bear Mountain Inn was the on-site Bear Mountain Salon. I loved being able to schedule my wedding party's hair and makeup on-site the day of the wedding; it helped keep the wedding day stress-free. During my hair and makeup trial, I never felt rushed, and the stylists took their time walking me through every decision. Several of our guests were even able to enjoy massages that weekend, and they were so grateful! The entire wedding party looked fabulous, and our pictures benefited from the stylists' great work. I felt so beautiful!

    True Artists of Hair & Makeup!

    The Bear Mountain Spa really made my trial and wedding day wonderful and special - not just for my, but for my bridal party and family as well. Annatte and her team welcomed us all as if the salon were our room away from our room. It felt like the party had started that day the moment we walked into the Spa. With Seleina on nails, Diane on hair and America on make-up, I could not have imagined a better group of artists to create this perfect masterpiece. I am still getting compliments on their work days later. Annatte really runs a great show. A+. Brava. The best pit crew a girl could have.

    Kind Hearted

    The girls were all kind hearted, friendly and very patient with us. Sacrificed time and some money for us all. I greatly appreciated all they did for Amy the Bride and all of us girls. Im sure i speak for everyone of us. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

    The girls at the spa are fantastic . My wedding party was between the ages of 5 - 72 and all of them looked fabulous. Annette and the the rest of the girls at the spa were professional, fun, and more then accommodating to all of our needs. They asked us what we wanted and delivered with more then what we could hope for. I can not wait to go for a relaxing weekend with my wonderful husband.

    We had our wedding in West Point and used the Bear Mountain Spa for our hair & make-up. They are close to the Thayer Hotel which is why we chose them. The best choice for hair & makeup. The wedding coordinator Annette was so nice and helpful with booking both my trial and for the day off. I live quite a distance from West Point and she had the hair stylist and makeup artist come in after hours to do our (me & my mom) trial. The day of my wedding was a blast. She turned up the dance music in the salon area (with massages going on in the back) to get us ready. Diane & America were fantastic. My makeup was flawless and my hair did not move out of place the entire night. The rest of my bridal party loved it as well. Thumbs up to you all!!

    I had the pleasure of getting my hair and make up done by Lisa and Priscilla for my wedding at the overlook lodge. They did a fantastic job, and are both so sweet and nice. Loved working with them!

    Bear Mountain Spa did the hair and make up for my daughter's wedding, and we could not have been happier with their services. It was a morning wedding and we needed to start at 6:30AM, The spa was very flexible with their starting time . Annette, the spa manager was there as well to assure that everything was on time and moved smoothly. Lisa and Jackie arrived right on time and they were a pleasure to work with. The bride looked gorgeous and the entire bridal party was completely satisfied with how they looked. (They did not charge us extra for the early hour. We did add some extra for the girls however)

    As a bride planning a Norse Pagan wedding, it can be difficult finding a makeup artist and hair dresser that can transform your ideas and make them 20 x better than what you envisioned. They were so professional with booking the trial appointment and also the day of the wedding. Lisa, the make up artist, knocked it out the park with the trial and out did herself the day of by adding Pagan like marking on my face to turn up my look several notches. Jackie the hairdresser created this epic thick Viking like braid which made me redo my thought of having a crown- I didn’t want to hide the gorgeous work she did! And by the way, both makeup and hair are industrial strength! I still have my braid intact and it’s been three days and despite all the happy crying my makeup did not come off a bit! If you are a bride getting married at Bear Mountain or just visiting, please don’t miss out on visiting the spa! Love you guys and hope to see you again when we visit!

    We had a wonderful time getting our hair and make up done. Very Fair price considering we didn't have to drive anywhere. We tried a local place and they wanted almost double to come in. The hair and make-up lasted all night (even into the next morning). I did read other comments about the gratuity and yes, we did add gratuity but isn't that customary to add to the people the make your wedding day so special. Thank you Bear Mountain Spa.

    Excellent service starting with the reservation desk to the hair and make-up artists. Kind, professional, friendly and very helpful. We had hair and make-up for a wedding and everyone of us (7 in total) was very happy with how we looked. We were very pleased with the whole experience and would highly recommend all bridal parties to use the Spa at Bear Mountain. Thank you!!

    The Spa at Bear Mountain is a perfect choice if you are getting married at West Point. You can either come to their salon or they will also come to your hotel room at the Thayer. I chose to use the salon since we were a large group (9 girls for both hair and make-up) and I didn't want everyone in my room They are less than 15 minutes from door to door.
    They had a full staff waiting for us and even had someone to do a manicure for my bridesmaid who came in from out of town and didn't have time to get it done before she arrived. I was lucky enough to get a last minute massage before it was time to get my hair and make-up done. The perfect way to calm my nerves!! They were very professional and our hair and make-up not only looked as natural as can be, but also stayed in for the entire night.
    I would recommend to all West Point Brides to try it out.

    My niece was getting married in Garrison. I am from out of town and did not know where to go on a Sunday. I spoke with the manager and she brought a hairdresser and makeup artist in within one day's notice to do my daughters and my hair and makeup. Unfortunately I don't remember the girls names but everybody did a beautiful job. All the wedding guests asked us where we got our hair and makeup done. Thank you for being so accommodating.

    I had my hair and make-up done at the spa located right in the bear mountain inn. It was the best. It was located in the same building as my wedding and room. All in one package. We didn't even get out of pjs that morning. Our hair & make-up was gorgeous. The management make-up artists and hairdressers were so patient with us. We had 13 girls and were right on schedule for our pictures. I would have left more than 5 stars if I could have!!

    I had my hair and makeup done at the bearmountain spa. I have to say they treated me like a queen. Some of my bridesmaids were late getting there and they were very accommodating and making sure everything was on time. Desiree the hairstylist did a beautiful job on my hair. Lisa the makeup artist made my skin look flawless. Thank you for adding to my perfect day!

    I got married at the Thayer Hotel but used the BearMountainSpa to have our hair and make-up done. We also had a mini party the day before. We got massages and our nails done. It was perfect. I wanted a very specific pin curl in my hair and it was magnificent. The girls were efficient and made sure I had enough time to get dressed without feeling rushed, which was a concern of mine. The manager was on top of it all. I live close by and will be a frequent guest!!

    We started out with 3 girls and ended up with 8 3 days before the wedding. The spa manager was super patient with my crazy family. They kept changing their minds of who wanted what service performed. The day of the wedding was perfect. She made everything work and we were left with plenty of time despite the added 5 girls. My wife looked beautiful. The hair and make-up was stunning. Couldn't have asked for more.

    I had my hair, make-up, and nails done at the Bear Mountain spa for my September 2014 wedding. Shirley did my makeup and it turned out great-- I wanted a very natural look and she really kept to that without letting my makeup look boring. Jacquelyn did my hair-- an updo with lots of loose curls-- and it also looked beautiful and lasted the whole night. Donna did my nails, and they came out perfectly-- no smudges or chips! The whole experience was relaxing and everyone really listened to what I wanted.

    I hate to give such a bad review. I just got married 10/13/17. Went with the spa since it was on site. The convenience of that was not worth it at all. The manager of the spa is so beyond rude it’s not even funny. I would never recommend any bride/bridal party to this spa. my makeup artist Jessica was so nice and the hair stylist Destiny was fantastic. But she was rude to one of my bridesmaids when she was told she wasn’t happy with her hair to help with the frizz. The manager went up to another bridesmaid and told her that she didn’t tip enough. The manager knew what time our photographer was coming which was 12:00, me, my (6) bridesmaids, and mom were done getting hair and makeup done by 11:00-11:30. I do not have one picture of me getting ready. They rushed through hair and makeup. Everyone looked absolutely gorgeous. We went into the spa to get a fake picture taking of be pretending to get ready when I was all done. The manager then asked my photographer to hashtag the spa with my permission. Absolutely not, you’re terrible!!!

    My best friend just got married at Bear Mountain (which was lovely) and we were sold that we should utilize the on-site Salon. The hairstylist's did a very nice job on all of our hair, but the manager was out of control rude and unprofessional.When I was paying at the end, she blantantly said "Here, leave a tip in this envelope." I was completely taken aback, because she didn't ASK if I wanted to leave one, and then I asked for change for a 20$ (intending to give a fair tip), and she gave me a look and said "Well, we ask that people give 20%" I was completely floored by the lack of professionalism. Then later on, an hour later, as the Bride's hair was ALREADY falling out, when we went to go ask them to pin it back for her, they said "Oh, you'll have to wait." Bear Mountain - you are amazing, but really should look into the services provided by your spa!

    I hate to give such a poor rating because the hair stylists did a lovely job. However, the owner/manager of the salon was so rude that I would never go back and would never recommend that another bride bring her bridal party there. She insisted that my mother and bridesmaids give tips well beyond 20% and she (as well as the stylists) was visibly frustrated when people requested any changes to their hair. When I returned after 2 hours of photos (which were not an active event) because my hair was falling out, the owner asked that I wait 20 minutes while the stylist finished someone's pedicure. The convenience of having the spa on site was not worth it.
