Barton Strings is a premier ceremony music band in Austin, Texas. This group of talented string instrumentalists has over 20 years of experience playing weddings and events. They create individualized, classic wedding setlists that capture the essence of love and romance on your special day. Whether you’re planning an intimate affair or a grand wedding celebration, Barton Strings will make the ceremony one to remember.

Experience

Barton Strings is comprised of 10 talented, local musicians. Each of them has a degree in music performance, and are typically principal or tenured members of the Austin Symphony Orchestra or Austin Lyric Opera. Barton Strings books over 100 weddings each year.

Services Offered

Barton Strings offers custom packages to suit the needs of all weddings. They include both classical weddings pieces and contemporary rock, jazz, and pop songs in their repertoire. Barton Strings can be booked in duets, trios, or quartets depending on the size of your venue. A trumpeter can also be added to any ensemble.

The Most Beautiful Addition to Any Event!!

We were blown away by how incredible the Barton Strings were for our wedding ceremony!

We booked a string trio and the music truly made the ceremony. Tracy was beyond helpful and kind. The Barton Strings sent us a list of all the songs in their repertoire and we were even able to listen to some of the songs they can perform on their Spotify and links on the website!!

We were a bit lost trying to decide which music to select and Tracy walked us through with patience and recommendations based on the music we expressed interest in.

Look no further and book the talented Barton Strings for any event that you want to enhance with beautiful live music!

It was a breathtaking experience. Barton Strings set the exact mood I was looking for!

My ceremony would not have been the same without Barton Strings! It set the exact romantic mood I wanted for my ceremony. Once I heard the song to start walking the emotions hit and made it all real and perfect. I highly recommend them for your ceremony/cocktail hour! You and your guest won’t be disappointed!

Chapel Dulcinea Wedding

I hired Barton Strings for my small Chapel Dulcinea wedding. They played beautifully and were very flexible when it came to choosing different songs. I highly recommend!

One of the best decisions we made was to hire Barton Strings!!! They were absolutely beautiful and so accommodating. Beforehand they were very communicative and sent many options for the various parts of the ceremony. I would hands down hire them again!!

If you are looking for quality live music during your ceremony and cocktail hour that can adjust to your personality and wedding theme, Barton Strings is your best option! They can play just about anything and everything and will make sure to taylor the playlist to fit your needs. I truly enjoyed working with Tracy and the entire Barton Strings team. They performed a special piece for my processional that they had not yet previously performed. We worked together on the parts of the song I wanted played and man did they pull it off! Hearing my processional song just before I walked down the aisle, set the tone for my ceremony and the entire wedding. It was romantic and modern, perfect. I highly recommend them!

Barton Strings, Tracy Seeger - Barton Strings were amazing to work with. They have an extensive list from which to choose your music including both traditional and modern selections. They are also willing to learn songs specifically for your occasion. Having a string quartet was one of my “must haves” from day one and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

Barton Strings did an absolutely fabulous job for my wedding. I wanted a string quartet and could tell from their website that they were very talented. That being said, the actual performance far surpassed my expectations. They played a prelude of my favorite hymns (they assured me they could play anything out of the hymnal, not just what was on the website) and also played for the processional and recessional. I had a guest (who happens to be a music teacher) come up to me at the reception to tell me that the music gave her goosebumps. I had specific instructions about how I wanted the ceremony to go (I am a musician and this was very important to me). They were PERFECT. It was exactly how I wanted it to go. They were on time, professional, and (most important) extremely talented. It was absolutely worth the price and one of my favorite parts of my wedding day.

Being a professional musician myself, the music for my daughter's wedding was so important to us. My daughter asked if I could select the music for the ceremony so I chose pieces that were dear to my heart but not necessarily in the standard wedding repertoire. Three of the four pieces were new to The Barton Strings trio but they happily searched for appropriate arrangements and performed them like they have been playing them for years. They were so professional and easy to work with. I was thrilled with their attention to detail, their beautiful tone quality and their musicality. They made this mother of the bride very happy!

Tracy and her group were sooo responsive to us and in a very timely manner. They played special requests and even used an arrangement we ordered for them. The music was Bach to Beethoven to Beatles and it was beautiful. We had several professional musicians as guests and they all told me how wonderful the quartet was. They made the sunset ceremony very elegant and complete..I happily recommend Barton Strings Quartet to anyone!!!!

Barton Strings is hands down the premier string ensemble in Austin and Central Texas. Their musicianship and skill is stellar. And they are great people, a pleasure to know and to work with. I've hired them twice, and I recommend them very highly!
