Barbara Colby at Bar Harbor Weddings performed our intimate wedding ceremony at Thuya Gardens in Northeast Harbor, Maine. Upon contacting Barbara, I immediately noticed how professional and efficient she is. She was essential to have attend our rehearsal as she has officiated many weddings, and knows the area well. She helped us choose the perfect spot to have our wedding ceremony. She worked with me to create a ceremony script. I appreciated having Barbara to work with and officiate our wedding. The entire day was perfect from start to finish, and I was pleased not to have to worry about her coming through.

Barbara and Julie were absolutely lovely to work with! We went with their vows and they were absolutely beautiful.

I have to add that we had a hiccup in our ceremony - my wonderful groom was so nervous and excited that he forgot the marriage license in his hotel room. I was already feeling a little...keyed up because of wedding day jitters! but Julie helped me relax after hearing the news that the ceremony would be a little delayed. She was such a calming, serene force and I couldn't ask for a better officiant. Everything worked out, and I am so glad that Julie was the person who married my husband and me.

Barbara and Tricia were fun to work with to design our non-religious ceremony. They helped provide the framework for the ceremony, allowing us to put our own unity ceremony in and include our family and friends in the ritual. Tricia met us for the rehearsal, and did a perfect job: classy, simple and elegant.
