We hired Avina Photography to help capture photo & video for our wedding celebration. John and his team did an amazing job. Every time we go through the pictures we are taken back to the special moments. John is responsive and remembered all the random picture ideas we had for getting ready and while we celebrated. During my initial evaluation phone call with John Avina, I remember being impressed by how for every problem he had a Plan B, C, and sometimes even D and E! Whether it was for rain (a "rain day" shoot on the next sunny day in our wedding attire included in the package), or for bad traffic/unexpected cancellation (a photographer cousin on call to take his spot if he wasn't going to be able to show up), John had a backup plan for everything. For my anxious mind, this was a perfect fit!
Our engagement photo session was at a bookstore and a park, and my photoshoot-uncertain husband was pleasantly surprised at how much he enjoyed it. John is a laid-back, friendly guy with an attention-to-detail that balances well with his chill side. We still love his photos from this shoot so much!
For our wedding day, we also booked our videographer through him. John confirmed our schedule and vision multiple times with some final zoom meetings. Given the thunderstorms on the horizon, both John and our videographer were flexible with locations and timing. Luckily we were still able to do our first look and subsequent wedding party photos in the park as planned, and so when the rain finally started right after the ceremony, our party bus adventure into downtown was mostly for bonus city shots in the rain. I had bought some clear umbrellas, and we got some great photos out of it, to the point where we didn't need to use the "rain day" included in the package.
After the wedding, John sent four preview photos within 24 hours (super speedy!) and they were all amazing. The rest of the photos came in about a month and a half, but there were over 1500 photos which was great. I really appreciate the ability to download freely all the photos that were taken. I recommend Avina Photo to anyone looking to spend a little less in the extremely pricy world of wedding photography, but aren’t willing to sacrifice professionalism and quality.

I have used Avina photography for engagement photos, family events, maternity photos, and they will be shooting my wedding! Johnny and Emily have always gotten the perfect shots at every event. I love how they pay attention to every little detail and are extremely patient when working with you. They are so much fun to work with and I highly recommend using them for every important moment you would like documented!
