Amy was a core part of the design for our wedding. She came with us to pick out the rentals, advise on color palettes, textures and what would look best in the space. She has an incredible eye and her experience in so many different venues and florals shines. I shared an initial pinterest board with her and some of my favorite flowers and she came back with exactly what I was looking for and more. It was such an enjoyable and fun process working with her and letting her imagination and creativity come through. She even went as far as to source a rose that was the exact coral of the napkins we picked together. It's the little things she adds and how she can take a big idea and make it so unique and special to you. I could not have asked for a better florist or experience, thank you Amy and team!!

Where do I even begin? The talent that is Amy Mendez and her team is truly indescribable. Amy was the very first vendor I booked — before we even had a venue — and from the moment we met, I knew she was our florist (though that title doesn’t even begin to cover the role she played).
To say Amy went above and beyond would be the understatement of the century. We instantly connected over our shared love of all things vintage, swans, and creating a wedding that felt natural, authentic, and deeply personal. I put complete trust in Amy’s vision, and somehow she delivered something even more magical than I could have imagined.
Over the year and a half we worked together, Amy thoughtfully curated an entire tablescape using vintage treasures she had been collecting just for us. From the most incredible vintage swans at our escort table, to dahlias the size of your head, to stunning local florals everywhere you looked — every detail felt intentional, romantic, and like us. And let’s not forget the detachable pearl-handle flower purse (still not over it!).
Amy was so much more than our florist — she was a confidant, a creative partner, and a true friend throughout the entire process. Beyond being a genuinely wonderful human, her vision, dedication, and heart are what made our wedding feel so special and so us.

Amy is the absolute greatest florist you can find out in the Berkshires, let alone New England. Everything she touches is gold - truly magnificent work. She saw the vision before we even could and executed everything perfectly. There is no doubt you should use her for your wedding or any event! I may try to get remarried just to work with Amy again…

What a glorious wedding Amy with Avela Floral Design helped to create for Alexandra and Andrew's fall wedding in the Berkshires (Wyndhurst Mansion/Miraval, October 5th, 2024)! The flowers were extraordinary! I particularly loved the Bride's bouquet and how the balance of rich, deep colors mixed with a few lighter florals against the palette of our wedding party attire enhanced the elegant look!

Amy's eye for artistic design and beauty wowed us and our guests - everything from the church to the reception to the extraordinary tent greenery and ballroom ceiling installation decor were spectacular. Even during brunch the next day guests were blown-away by the breathtaking centerpiece arrangements, especially when seen in the fresh, bright mid-morning sunlight. Amy's combination of distinctive florals (with some individual flowers so unique and fun they could stand alone!) really made the arrangements a work of art!
