There are truly no words that could ever adequately do justice to the magic that is Katie and her team at As You Wish. The name says it all because Katie and her team genuinely have a way of making your every wish come true.

In our culture, weddings are something parents begin dreaming about long before their children even enter the world, and Katie and her team understood the weight and meaning of that from the very beginning. As You Wish has been with us through so many of the most special moments in our family, from my sister’s wedding to both of my brothers’ weddings, and by then, Katie and her team had already become family to us. So when it came time for my own wedding, there was truly no one else we could have imagined trusting with the most important and special moments of our lives.

As someone who had never really pictured what my own wedding day would look like, and who struggles with analysis paralysis and decision-making, Katie was an absolute godsend. She was endlessly patient and helped me uncover what I actually wanted, even when I couldn’t put it into words. I also struggle to visualize how individual concepts will come together, and Katie and her team went above and beyond to make everything tangible, from beautiful design boards to taking me in person to touch fabrics, see layouts, and experience table designs firsthand. They never once made an idea feel too big, too complicated, or impossible. Instead, their response was always, “Let’s make it happen.”

And they did. Again and again, they brought ideas to life in ways that somehow surpassed even what I had imagined.

One of the most special parts of the entire process was watching Katie and my dad work hand in hand to bring this wedding to life. My dad can certainly get carried away with ideas 😂, but even the things that others might have deemed impossible, Katie and her team found a way to make happen. She never made us feel like we had to sacrifice or compromise. When I told her I was having 19 bridesmaids, she didn’t even blink, she leaned all the way in and celebrated the love and the magnitude of it all.

And Katie and her team didn’t just help create our wedding. They helped make our entire wedding journey unforgettable. They brought our engagement party to life and planned the most incredible bachelorette weekend in Park City. When I told Katie I didn’t want our ballroom to feel like a hotel ballroom, she basically said, “Say less.” And somehow, a hotel ballroom was transformed into an actual wonderland, with carpeting installed and every detail elevated so completely that it felt like we had stepped into an entirely different world. And they did not stop at the transformation of the ballroom. There were fireworks, a drone show, a personalized Pixar animation film, a surprise flash mob, light up Bollywood dancers, laser light shows, two incredible bands, the most fun DJ, endless eats and treats, a perfume bar, a custom donut wall, a personalized putt putt course, a bangle bazaar, a haiku station, a vintage photobooth, custom hotel key cards, color smoke bombs, AND SO MUCH MORE. Every detail was completely unexpected, incredibly thoughtful, and so uniquely us. It was truly unparalleled and one of a kind.

Most importantly, Katie and her team beautifully and seamlessly blended our two cultures into an incredible four-day Indian-American wedding celebration. It was everything we could have hoped for and more, and truly something I believe only they could have executed with such thoughtfulness, beauty, and intention.

Katie is present every step of the way. She is one of the most responsive, organized, and genuinely incredible people I have ever met, and I am still in awe of how she manages to do it all. When wedding planning inevitably became overwhelming, she was the person who grounded me, brought me back to what mattered, and reminded me that at the heart of everything was my husband and me.

She made sure our wedding was not just beautiful, but ours. She intentionally created moments for the two of us, protected the things that mattered most to us, and always made sure we were getting the experience we truly wanted.

I have never cried so many happy tears or smiled so big.

I will forever be grateful to Katie and her entire team for giving us memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. They didn’t just plan our wedding, they became part of our family and gave us a wedding beyond our wildest dreams.

Working with Katie and her team at As You Wish was honestly the best decision we made for our wedding. We worked with them for about a year and a half, and they were so patient, open minded, and incredibly detail oriented the entire time. They really listened to what we wanted while also keeping us organized, on track, and making sure everything still felt elevated and classy.

Having an Indian wedding, this was really important to us, and they took the time to learn, respect, and execute everything so thoughtfully. It made us feel so seen and taken care of throughout the entire process.

Katie and her team really went above and beyond with every detail that went into our wedding. I remember people asking me if I was nervous, and I would always say no because I fully trusted Katie and her team to pull off the best wedding weekend possible, and that is exactly what they did.

They helped us build our dream team of vendors, and everything came together so seamlessly because of them. Anytime someone asks about our wedding weekend, we always say it exceeded our expectations and that is all thanks to Katie and her team. Could not recommend As You Wish more!

If you are looking for a planner who will go above and beyond to make your events truly unique, I cannot recommend Katie and her team at As You Wish enough. Katie has planned multiple events for our family over the years, including both my son’s and my daughter’s weddings, which were just about a year apart.

As a parent, I tend to push the boundaries with new ideas to make every event special. Many of the unique concepts I threw at Katie were definitely outside the traditional wedding box. Yet every single time, she met them with enthusiasm and a genuine excitement to take on the challenge. She didn't just deliver on my ideas; she made them better.

Across both weddings, Katie helped pull off some incredible surprises. For both my son and daughter, she orchestrated Pixar style animated movies documenting their journeys to finding "the one," alongside incredible drone shows telling their love stories in the sky. She also brought the norms of two different cultures together in a very classy and elegant manner for both weekends.

She executed a fantastic, customized Baraat float for my son's wedding. For my daughter's recent wedding, she helped transform the ballroom so it looked completely different, truly bringing our vision to reality, and integrated a custom fireworks show into the multi day celebrations. Even when I wanted to do something completely different for my Father of the Bride speech at my daughter's reception, Katie rolled up her sleeves, brainstormed with me, and helped deliver surprises that made the night so memorable. Guests are already calling my daughter's recent celebration the "Epic Wedding of the Year," and Katie was a huge part of making that happen.

The guest experience was just awesome from beginning to end for both weekends. Most importantly, both of my children and their significant others had happy tears in their eyes because everything exceeded their expectations. As parents, there is nothing more meaningful than watching your child's vision come to life. Katie’s generosity of spirit is rare, and whether it was early or late, she always made herself available to us.

Katie has created so many beautiful and meaningful events for our family that somewhere along the way, she became more than our planner, she became part of our story. My whole family loves her and her team. I will definitely be calling her for any future event planning needs, and if you are on the fence, you should call her too.
