Team
Anne Linders is the fearless leader of Annie and the Fur Trappers. She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where her love of traditional jazz was born. Annie is now a resident of Somerville, and plays music full time. She also teaches trumpet, guitar, and piano. When Annie is not shredding on the trumpet, she enjoys playing hardcourt bicycle polo in Boston. Annie is committed to keeping the music of the roaring 1920s alive in the roaring 2020s!
Nathan Rivera brings the energy to the band! He currently lives in California, but we love him so much he visits us in Boston and New Orleans on the regular. Nathan is a true multi-instrumentalist and has been featured on accordion, guitar, and piano. Not only can he play all of those instruments, he can also play them on a skateboard!
Matthew Berlin plays the tallest instrument in the band: the bass. Earning the nickname "Boogie Down Berlin", he holds down the groove and bass lines with Annie and the Fur Trappers. Not only is Matthew Berlin a grade A trad jazz player, he is also a renown folk player who has performed and recorded with Jim Kweskin. Matthew brings the second line and the boogie to the band. He is sure to get your crowd dancing!
