From the moment we reached out to Amphora Catering, we knew we were in great hands. Event Designer (Xochitl Gutierrez) answered all of my questions, kept close track of our details, and brought a level of calm and professionalism to our wedding planning process that took away so much of my anxiety. The food was incredible and all of our guests raved about it. Some of our favorites were the fall salad with blueberry dressing, the orzo, and the salmon. Portions were abundant and everyone left well fed. All staff (bartenders, servers, etc.) were attentive and kind, always checking in. We went home with lots of leftovers and full hearts! Their sister company, Amphora Bakery, also made us the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake - it was great having them as a vendor, as Amphora Catering could communicate delivery and set up directly. We planned our wedding for 110 in under 3 months and could not have done it without Amphora! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We hired Amphora for our wedding in NOVA and we are so happy we did. We worked with Xochitl for many months and she was always helpful and responsive. Their pricing is clear and fair, and the team was very flexible with our last minute guest count changes. The team was well staffed and efficient on the wedding day itself. All the food they served was literally amazing. It got seriously rave reviews from our guests and everything we got to eat was so good. They packed up the leftovers for us, but our guests loved it so much that there wasn't much left over! Cannot recommend them enough.

We truly cannot recommend Amphora enough!! They catered our wedding in October of 2024, and they were a highlight of our day! Their food was absolutely delicious and very affordable. Their team also just had amazing energy, and made every step of the planning process fun! From the tastings to our emails back and forth, to the day of, their team was so thoughtful and engaging. They were also able to accommodate a lot of dietary restrictions, and were able to make some phenomenal vegan dishes, including some exceptional vegan donuts!!!! It was clear that their whole team cared about making our wedding a special day, all of their hard work was so meaningful from the decorative napkin folding to giving the bride and groom their own special snack after the ceremony. If you're looking for a caterer, Amphora is the place to go!!

From beginning to end, working with Amphora Catering (especially Xochitl) was amazing! Our venue recommended Amphora as their preferred caterer, and we had tried Amphora's delicious food on several occasions via other events we had attended at the venue, so we were already somewhat familiar with their product. The food, attention to detail from Xochitl and her team, service, professionalism, and bartending were all well worth the price we paid. We received many compliments from our guests on the food. Xochitl was an absolute pleasure to work with, and she answered every question we had and made us comfortable with all our decisions. We also appreciated her attention to detail and thoughtfulness throughout the whole process.

We've been working with Amphora Catering (and Amphora Bakery) since 2019 as we selected them for our 2020 wedding. I've truly enjoyed working with Xochitl over these past years. She and her team have extremely patient with us after each reschedule due to the pandemic. She walked my husband and I through the process in 2019 when we selected the different appetizers, entrees, linens, tableware, etc. They are transparent and give you a very detailed contract so you understand what is included in the costs. She made the process easy for us and always had info ready for us whenever we asked questions. Since then, she was always responsive even when she was not in office. I was pleased with her and her staff on the day of our wedding day (finally!) on Friday, May 13th. They really did such a good job taking care of us. She even checked in with us a couple of times during the wedding to make sure we were okay. The food was amazing! We very much appreciate Xochitl as we built a great working relationship with her. I highly recommend Amphora Catering to any couple. If you are looking for a wedding cake too, they also have a bakery!

I worked very closely with Xochtil. We pushed our wedding back a year due to covid and a deployment and then it rained all day on our wedding day.
Xochtil and team made sure every detail from signage to catering to food at dinner and cocktail hour was amazing. We had it all. The beef, salmon and chicken as well as potatoes , salad, three different appetizers from different parts of the world. ALL GREAT! Our guests who live in the area are now also using amphora. They were troopers during our wedding and the food was amazing - it was NOT ‘cheap chicken’ that tastes like cardboard like many weddings!
At the end of the day they helped me clear up . Basically the customer service is second to NONE. Food is so important at a wedding! They delivered!!!
I will return to Amphora for future occasions! You will NOT be disappointed!!!

If one of the few things people remember about weddings is how good the food was, Amphora will make sure your guests remember your wedding for a long time! Xochitl was incredible at helping us plan our menu - she helped us easily make changes as COVID changed our plans and made sure all the related details were taken care of. Before finding Amphora, I had reached out to many caterers who did not really listen to my vision or requirements and tried to push me into options I did not want. It was such a relief to work with Xochitl! She came up with options that fit both my budget and vision. The quality of food was excellent, portion sizes were generous, table linens were high quality, and her team was very attentive to my guests and my husband and I, making sure we were always fed and had a drink in hand!

We absolutely loved working with Amphora Catering. Our venue gave us a list of catering companies that we were able to use and they highly recommended Amphora. When we went for our tasting, we tried so much food and we loved every bit of food that we tasted. Xochitl was so accommodating to our needs and answered every question that we had about from the menu to the timeline of everything. She was kind and answered every question, she was fast with e-mailing us back when we had a random question about anything. After our tasting, we immediately booked them and did not try any other catering companies after them. We loved their food that much! Leading up to the day, Xochitl was able to help us by figuring out how many drinks we needed for the wedding and coordinating vegetarian meals for our vegetarian guests. On the day of the wedding, they set up everything from the tables and chairs to the buffet station in no time flat. We had passed hors d'oeuvres, the staff even brought some out to us and our wedding party so that we could eat in-between photos being taken. Everyone could not stop saying how amazing they were, we got the shaved steak, coconut shrimp, and rosemary chicken skewers. For dinner, we had a buffet, but due to COVID they wanted everyone to be safe and they served our guests when they arrived at the buffet station. The vegetarian meals were delivered to their tables for them. We had the chicken in a cream sauce, steak with a chardonnay sauce, and mushroom ravioli for our entrees. Our sides were mashed potatoes and vegetables that were displayed in a flower formation with a balsamic glaze. My uncle is a very picky eater and he could not stop eating the chicken and wanted the recipe for himself! The steak was tender and melted in your mouth as you ate it. My husband fell in love with the vegetables and was even eating carrots which are rare! Let's just say, the food was talked about by all the guests and my family still talks about the chicken. The staff from Amphora catering were friendly and discrete when they were cleaning up and serving people. Xochitl was there and she made sure that we ate food which is hard for the bride and groom to do at their wedding and she made sure that we had everything that we needed. She boxed up the leftovers for us and we were able to enjoy it again the next night as well. We didn't have a lot of leftovers which tells us how much our guests loved the food. We can not thank Amphora and Xochitl enough for their services and we highly recommend them for anyone's wedding!​

Amphora Catering was the perfect choice for our wedding! We met with several vendors to sample appetizers and entrees but nothing compared to Amphora.
