I had a destination wedding in Cannon Beach on 11/11. All the planning took place from Florida so sight unseen had it’s challenges. From the very first phone call Alyssa was amazing. Incredibly professional and responsive…and also very kind. She was so helpful in all things related to getting married in Oregon when she didn’t have to be. She willingly answered my questions and gave sound advice which I needed. I’ve had makeup done before and I always walk away wishing I had done it myself. Not with Alyssa, honestly the best hair and makeup I have ever had. She is also just a fun person to be around and made that time before walking down the aisle a bit more relaxing and fun. I would recommend her in a second and use her again if I had the opportunity…the Oregon Coast is lucky to have her.

Alyssa is SO talented! I’ve had my makeup professionally done before but have never had someone listen to me like Alyssa did. I spent a lot of time looking at different artists profiles before I decided on her and I’m so glad that I found her. Her prices are reasonable and her work is better than the pricier artists that I’ve seen. She made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. Thank you so much Alyssa!

Oregon bride? Look NO further! Where do I begin? 40 days out from our elopement, my hair/makeup artist backed out. I was almost certain it would be near impossible to find a HMUA, but luckily we were doing a mid week elopement so the odds were in our favor. I came across Underwood Makeup on Instagram, and from the second I read her website I KNEW she was the one. I didn’t want anyone else. And I knew our personalities would mix so so well. Being an out of state bride, we were unable to do a trial, but deep down I knew I could trust Alyssa to make me feel like my most beautiful self for such an important day. And she did! I’m very picky about my hair and makeup, and times past I’ve had to fix my makeup after someone does it. I didn’t have to touch up a single thing. I felt like a goddess and was just radiating confidence and a glow that I couldn’t describe. Not only was her communication stellar and her flexibility of making this all work on such short notice, she was so supportive in making sure my day would still be perfect despite low key freaking out when the other hair/makeup artist decided she wouldn’t be coming. And to top it all off… when my florals arrived the night before our wedding, I was yet again freaking out because they didn’t look anything like planned. I immediately messaged Alyssa, again, the night BEFORE our big day, asking if she knew of anyone who might be able to help. She immediately sent me a florist, who just so happened to grow her own flowers less than a half mile down the road from our AirBNB. The florist invited myself and my fiancé to come by the morning of our elopement to pick our own flowers and re work my bouquet. Both were truly a God send. I am forever grateful for Alyssa, and I trust she came into our lives for a reason. I consider her a forever friend! She is damn good at what she does, so don’t doubt for a second that you should look anywhere else. Thank you, Alyssa! My day wouldn’t have been the same without you! 🤍

Alyssa is everything you would want in a wedding vendor. Kind, calm, professional, and incredibly talented. She was so helpful with putting together time tables and helping us get everything we needed to be successful. She had a full plate with multiple heads to finish but she planned accordingly, everyone loved their looks, and we even ended earlier than planned. Her calming, warm energy was such a added bonus on wedding morning. If you’re looking for a dependable, fun, and exceptionally talented artist I cannot recommend Alyssa enough.

Alyssa did hair and makeup for my mom and I for our July 2021 wedding (postponed from 2020). Not only is she extremely professional, fun, and interesting, she is amazingly talented at both hair and makeup. I have never felt more beautiful. Her calm and positive presence on the wedding day was so appreciated! I also appreciate that Alyssa highly values inclusivity. I couldn’t recommend her more!

Alyssa was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator, and I have to admit that I was totally the bride with zero interest in getting my hair and makeup done by a professional... I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY I ENDED UP WORKING WITH ALYSSA! In every interaction, she was so sweet, responsive, professional and a WIZARD at her craft! She perfectly captured the "enhanced natural beauty" look I was going for on my wedding day. :-)

During our hair/makeup trial, Alyssa tried out some va-va-voom Hollywood waves in my hair, and I swear I've never looked more fabulous! But after the day wearing the waves and consulting with her extensive expertise (in a wide variety of hair textures), Alyssa ended up styling my naturally curly hair for my beach wedding, and it was PERFECT!

On the wedding day itself, Alyssa did hair/makeup for my mom prior to mine. I had warned her previously that my mom is very particular about her "look" and not to take any offense if she ended up changing things after Alyssa finished... I shouldn't have worried - my mom was THRILLED with Alyssa's work! Not only did she make me feel absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day, but the even greater gift was how happy and beautiful Alyssa made my mom feel on such a special day!

I cannot recommend Alyssa highly enough! Not only is she a talented artist when it comes to hair & makeup, but she is also just a wonderful and positive person to be around! Alyssa knows how to bring out the beauty, both inside and out!
