We had a lot of specific requirements that we wanted fulfilled and Henry was incredibly helpful and understanding during the entire process. He would also brainstorm with us give inspiration suggestions in creating the photoshoot that we really wanted. On our wedding day, Henry was seamless in getting amazing photos at every hour, from daylight hours to night time. Organization is definitely one of his strong suits as he asked us to prepare a photo shoot order for our family members and guests – giving everyone a chance to take some memorable photos with us in a efficient fashion.

For our after wedding photoshoot, we were looking for a cinematic oceanside location preferably in Washington. We didn’t have a lot of understanding of scenery in Washington, and initially tried to do research on our own. Henry was incredibly patient in discussing potential photography spots with us. With his professional expertise of knowing what spots would work, we eventually picked a wonderful place on the Oregon coast to take some truly breathtaking photos. He also provided day of logistics, and was really easy to reach in terms of communication.

We absolutely loved our experience with Henry!! He was a great pleasure to work with, and the photos that he produced were spectacular and we will definitely be cherishing them forever. We strongly recommend Henry, and would book him again!

Working with Henry Tieu was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, he completely understood the vision we were trying to create: intimate, atmospheric, emotional, cinematic, and deeply personal without ever feeling overly staged or performative.

We had a tiny, 12-person wedding on the Oregon Coast with unpredictable weather, shifting beach logistics, strong wind, difficult lighting conditions, and a very specific vibe we cared deeply about. Henry handled all of it with an incredible level of calm, confidence, and creativity. He somehow made the entire experience feel effortless while still capturing images that genuinely look like art.

What impressed me most was his ability to balance editorial beauty with real emotion. Nothing felt overly posed or “Pinterest wedding.” He captured movement, environment, texture, and personality in a way that made the photos feel alive instead of manufactured. The images feel cinematic and expansive while still somehow feeling deeply us.

He also helped shape the flow of the day more than I expected a photographer to. With no planner or coordinator, his experience and instincts were invaluable. He knew when to guide, when to step back, how to work with changing light, and how to keep things moving without making us feel rushed or managed.

And beyond the work itself, he was just genuinely wonderful to spend the day with. Calm, kind, collaborative, observant, and incredibly talented.

His elopement planning guide and recommendations were also unbelievably helpful throughout the entire process. I genuinely found almost every one of our other amazing vendors through his suggestions, and every recommendation ended up being incredible. It really felt like working with someone who not only creates beautiful photographs, but who deeply understands how to craft an intentional and meaningful experience from start to finish.

We are so grateful we found him, and I cannot recommend him enough to anyone looking for photography that feels emotional, atmospheric, artful, and deeply personal.

We found it challenging to write a review simply because our words could never do Henry and his artistry justice. Ashley stumbled across Henry in the beginning of the pandemic. He photographed a few of her colleague’s elopements and was also a former ICU nurse. She quickly fell in love with his work on IG and followed him for years in amazement. When we got engaged, there was no question who we wanted to capture our special day.
Working with Henry was effortless from the very beginning. He is such a humble and genuine human with a warmth that makes you feel like you’ve known him for years. Henry and his talents were worth every penny and then some.
Henry has not only mastered the artistry of photography, but he’s also mastered the business side of photography. He is extremely organized, responsive, technically savvy, detailed oriented, and understanding.
He goes above and beyond in every aspect of helping you plan your special day. Not only does he recommend locations that are tailored to the couple, but he also provides countless vendor suggestions. He saved us on more than one occasion.
When our original cabin venue was suddenly sold, Henry helped us stay calm and offered thoughtful solutions. When we struggled to find an allergy friendly caterer, he guided us with recommendations and support. Even when the location we planned for photos was unexpectedly closed, Henry pivoted instantly and found stunning alternatives without missing a beat.
Anyone who has seen Henry’s work knows that his photos are breathtaking. However, what we found to be even more incredible is that he captured not just how the day or moment looked, but how it felt. Every laugh, every tear, every quiet, or joyful moment is preserved in a way that makes us relive the day every time we look at the images.
We are endlessly grateful for Henry’s support and artistry—our wedding day or memories would not be the same without him. He truly is the G.O.A.T.

Everyone wants to perfectly capture their wedding day in a way that symbolizes the experience; Henry does it perfectly!  From the first meeting his thorough and sincere approach made us feel immediately comfortable with him alleviating the task of selecting a photographer, not feeling the need to look further.  He also provided us with equally capable providers for other services further easing the planning process.   
We awoke to the weather potentially being less than cooperative for what we planned, creating a slight level of stress for the day going forward.  Henry assured us it would not be a barrier for him in achieving our goals to which he surely delivered. Nothing about his efforts for the day was passive, from the moment of his morning arrival to his post sunset departure. It was evident that he gave us the benefits of his talents and experience from start to finish.  Henry's ability to not only to embrace the environment and our theme while suggesting the perfect shots was superb in every way.  All the elements of his involvement assisted in making the day stress free and positively memorable, while making us appear far more photogenic than we really are.  It is rewarding to experience someone with a talent that enhances and fulfills other people's lives.  Saying "thank you", though sincere doesn't seem like enough to express our gratitude and satisfaction!

My husband and I will never stop ranting and raving about Henry! He was everything we wanted and more. He works incredibly hard and it definitely shows. Throughout the entire planning process, I was so stressed about the florals, the dress, the small details, but I was never once worried about the photos and how they would turn out. We could’ve chosen from so many photographers, but none would’ve compared to the experience that Henry provided. He was so personal from the very beginning and always made sure we were doing okay along the way. While he was taking our photos, everything felt so natural. The quality of the photos are actually unreal, I mean just take a look at all the other reviews!! People have not stopped talking about Henry and how amazing our photos turned out. To anyone that may be on the fence about booking Henry as your photographer, just do it. You will not regret it whatsoever. We love you Henry!!! We would book you again in a heartbeat.

Henry is so knowledgeable and shares so many resources about the elopement process all along the way! As an lgbtq+ couple it felt really nice to work with someone from the community who gets it and made all of our friends feel comfortable as well! We can’t put into words how thankful & grateful we are for Henry! We knew having him at our wedding in Greece was going to be one of the best decisions we’ve made (aside from getting married 😉). But honestly, our expectations were absolutely blown away. He brought the life and the party to our wedding day - having fun with our guests and making everyone feel actually excited to be in front of the camera. Jumping off the boat together, dancing during the late hours and getting to explore Milos together.. honestly some of our favorite memories! It’s so incredible to be on the other side of the lens, and get to see how a relationship with a “vendor” can turn into a real friendship. From our first zoom, until the last photo was taken. I have had a 5 star experience. Not a single hiccup. Nick, helped create our best day ever. I am never left speechless but this experience will have in an awe of how amazing everything is. You can tell that Nick absolutely loves his job, and wants to give you the best day possible. We had Nick as our photographer, and where do we even begin?! Nick was there for us every step of the way. Climbing mountains, getting in a river with us, going all out for our once in a life time day.
