About
On WeddingWire since 2016
Located in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, The Allegheny County Courthouse is an incredible historic building and wedding venue. When you say your vows here, you'll be doing so beneath Syrian arches, late French Gothic dormer windows, French Renaissance roofs, and other magnificently detailed architecture styles. The courthouse is a stunning backdrop for photos, both indoors and outdoors. With beautiful landscaping and a picturesque fountain, the open-air courtyard is an urban oasis. Guests will appreciate the stately, 229-foot bell tower that presides over Grant Street.
Facilities and Capacity
At this landmark venue, we offer the option to marry on the Grand Staircase on weekdays during business hours (9AM until 5PM). For those wedding ceremonies or elopements, we’ll reserve two hours and set up to 50 guest chairs at no charge.
If you prefer to have the venue to yourself, you may rent the grand staircase and courtyard on a weekend or on a weekday evening after 5PM. For private rentals, we can accommodate up to 150 for a seated diner in the courtyard; up to 200 for a standing, cocktail-style event.
Services Offered
When you rent the courthouse after hours, an Allegheny County venue coordinator will assist with your floor plan and event needs. Choose from our inventory of tables and chairs, all included with your rental. On your event day, we also provide security, an onsite venue coordinator, an electrician, and a facilities crew.
Please contact us for private tours and more information about the Allegheny County Courthouse.

Attended and photographed a beautiful wedding on the grand staircase this past Friday. It was a lovely and short ceremony and you cannot beat the courthouse interior and courtyard for absolutely stunning photos
