They capture our personalities, our love, our sense of playfulness, and the beauty of our moments together. My husband and I are from Philadelphia, PA, and selected Tops'l Farm in Waldoboro, ME, for our wedding. It didn't feel like a destination wedding since we have family in the area and have visited many times, but when it came to selecting a photographer, we didn't have a clue. I had seen Alanna's photos on Instagram, and I loved how romantic they were -- the movement, colors, and the intimacy. When I reached out to her, I didn't think there was any way she'd have space in her schedule, but luckily she did! Alanna was super easy to communicate with and sent us a beautiful magazine of her work that had a lot of great suggestions for the wedding day. I appreciated her transparency and clear communication. In person, Alanna is much the same -- relaxed, very sweet, with great calming energy -- I didn't feel anxious or self-conscious at any point, which is the way I normally feel having my picture taken. One of the things I loved most about her style was that I barely knew she was there. I was completely in the moment without feeling like there was a beep, click, or flash. I didn't feel like I needed to pose or suck my stomach in -- I just enjoyed my wedding day! The photos that she captured really speak for themselved. They feel real, but also elevated and romantic. She perfectly captures our love and the love that was shared between our friends and family on our wedding day. She did a great job of capturing details and scenes from the wedding venue. I'm still in awe of how gorgeously she captured one of the best days of my life. I feel so lucky that we were able to have Alanna shoot our wedding!

We were so fortunate to have Alanna as our wedding photographer! Not only is she a lovely person, but she’s also an incredibly talented photographer, and we ended up with a gallery full of stunning photos from our wedding weekend. (It took a month to narrow down favorites enough for thank you cards!)

We booked Alanna Hogan for our wedding on September 28, 2024 at the Black Point Inn. We just got our highlight gallery yesterday- just four days post wedding. We were completely awe struck at how gorgeous Alanna’s photos were. She captured such a range of different and stunning scenes- different nature settings, different weather, details, candid shots, dancing/action shots. All absolutely beautiful. As if amazing photography wasn’t enough, Alanna is such a kind, calming person to have around you on a chaotic day. She is ever relaxed, light, and such a soothing presence to have on wedding day. Words cannot adequately express how grateful we are that we got to have Alanna as our wedding photographer. Since day one, she has been so genuinely kind, reliable, and easy to work with. As two people who did not have experience with professional photography, my husband and I were a bit nervous about being in front of the camera. Alanna eased our concerns and guided us throughout the entire process. It was wonderful to get to meet her initially for our engagement photos so that by the time our wedding rolled around, we already knew and were comfortable with Alanna. If you're looking for a photographer to authentically capture a special moment, look no further. Promise. I really can't say enough good things about my experience with Alanna. My now husband and I had a private ceremony and inquired with Alanna about having a post-wedding photo shoot in Maine a few days later. She was elated at the idea for our shoot, sent us a detailed questionnaire about what we wanted to capture, sent us suggestions for outfits and locations, was incredibly responsive, answered my many questions, and truly listened to what we wanted to capture during our photo shoot. Her attention to detail and fun spirit shows in her photos (which came out incredible!). During the shoot, she gave us prompts or silly things to chat about to make the photos feel more natural and candid (which was exactly what we wanted!). We had such a blast during the shoot and it is so clear Alanna loves what she does. Not to mention, the photos came out beautiful, better than we could have ever imagined!
