We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Akron Art Museum last October and we cannot say enough good things about it! Working with all of the staff, specifically Cydney, was incredibly easy and they were all great at communication and answering any and all of our questions. They also were very accommodating when it came to any special requests that we had. The venue itself is so unique and beautiful. We wanted to get married somewhere less traditional and the museum was no doubt the right choice! We opted for having the galleries open during cocktail hour so guests could walk around, and many of them told us it was their favorite part of the whole evening. If you get married here, the open gallery is a must!

I cannot say enough good things about the Akron Art Museum. Beyond it being a truly stunning venue, the venue coordinator staff that we had the pleasure of working with truly blew us away. I coordinated with Katie and Cydney and always felt I was in great hands, even when there were a few staffing changes during my wedding planning period. Both Katie and Cydney truly want the best for each couple that gets married there, and have incredible vision, knowledge, and event-planning experience that allowed our wedding to be completely seamless -- even when we had to move indoors 10 minutes before our ceremony because of rain! Katie and Cydney pulled together all of our vendors and made the switch, and told us the news while we were in the galleries getting our portraits so calmly that I never had a moment of worry or stress. You can tell how much they care about you at the AAM with all of their staff, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience (and you can't beat the stunning architecture, windows, and art). Thank you to the Akron Art Museum for the most perfect wedding day!

We were looking for something modern, not a church, but with outdoor options. This was perfect! We enjoyed the outdoor space, the inside was lovely for our reception and dancing, and we had a great day. The museum staff was very helpful with the event.

Thank you so much to the Akron Art Museum for a seamless wedding reception! I was a bit nervous to have my ceremony and reception in two separate locations, but it could not have gone smoother. We have been long-time fans of the location, and we are so pleased with how everything, from the decor to the seating, turned out. Our photos in the gallery, on the grounds, and around the museum are all gorgeous. The weather permitted our band to be outside along with a bar, which greatly improved the flow and eliminated any congestion. The staff was superb in their professionalism, timely communication, and amended any last minute requests when I missed a few details (there are a lot!). Thank you so much to Becca, Christina, and all the staff that made this event such a wonderful experience. We will truly remember it for a lifetime, and are already reminded by our guests how much fun the experience was!

When my now husband and I first toured the museum we instantly knew that it was for us! from the day we signed up for a date to packing up all the chairs at the end of the night we couldn't have asked of a more professional, compassionate and hard working team at the AAM. We thank everyone for their hard work and attention to detail throughout the entire process and event! highly recommend having your special day here as it was one ill never forget.

My husband and I absolutely loved choosing The Akron Art Museum for our wedding day. The venue is truly beautiful and loved having our ceremony outside in the garden. Becca and Christina were very helpful through out the whole process. Highly recommend!

We used the Akron Art Museum for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and we can't say enough good things about working with Sarah and the museum as a whole.

We looked at venue after venue online and scheduled appointments with 3, one of those being the Akron Art Museum. We instantly fell in love with the idea of being married there and didn't have to look any further.

We could tell we'd get along just swimmingly with Sarah from our first meeting. She understood that we (and our guests) were going to be there for a celebration and to enjoy ourselves, while also making sure we knew the rules of the museum.

Sarah worked seamlessly with our catering manager, DJs, and all of our vendors, as she helped us finalize the timeline we'd drafted with our DJs and sketched out a floorplan with us. She also went over the outdoor ceremony choices, as well as devised a foolproof rain plan. She was very present during the rehearsal, making sure everyone knew where to go and even provided us all with waters (it was a hot September day). We were also excited to learn we could choose the beer for the reception; they provided a list and we were able to choose 3- we set up a tasting with family!

On the big day, myself and the moms and bridesmaids were in the auditorium getting ready, and she would keep checking in with us while monitoring and helping get everything set up. Before heading down the aisle, she gave my train one last fluff and helped to tame my wild veil (it was windy out). I wasn't made aware of any issues the day-of, but my mom told me much later that there were a few snags in the smoothness of the day and she was overwhelmed by how quickly & flawlessly Sarah was on it to get everything back on track. We can't thank her enough for her professionalism & overall wedding knowledge... plus just being a fun person to have around on your wedding day!

The Akron Art Museum as a whole was a dream venue for us, and we received many compliments on what a beautiful and unique setting it was for our wedding. Guests loved that they could explore the art galleries during the cocktail hour, and that there were two full bars, one outside under the terrace. Big shoutout also to all of their staff & security... they were all top notch!

Katie & the team at the Akron Art Museum went above and beyond to make our day so special. We couldn't be more thankful and appreciative of all the efforts made on our behalf.

If you want something different and unique, the Akron Art Museum is a go!!! It is unbelievable how gorgeous and unique the venue is. Katie and Sara did an excellent job. They were patient, flexible, and encouraging. I was able to decorate exactly the way I wanted and we were given the patio and exhibits for our cocktail hour. The dance floor is BOMB and we were introduced down the stairs which made it extra special. 100% would go with the museum.

We had an amazing wedding at the Akron Art Museum! Sarah and Katie were so helpful in customizing our wedding day - they helped us organize a grand entrance with my husband's porsche, allowed us to light a ceremonial candle (even though open flames are not allowed), and added prosecco to the alcohol list :) We got a DISCOUNT for postponing our wedding from June 2020 to June 2021. It was totally worth the wait! I would make all of the same choices if we had to plan the event all over again!
