Heather Lundy is the owner and lead floral designer of this unique business. She started her company in her home studio, and in just two years she expanded into a loft in the historic Shirt Factory. In 2012, she outgrew her space again, and ended up moving right down the hall to an even larger space with a loading dock. In 2018 she moved into her dream space and now has her own flower shop on the same property as her home and cutting garden. Her work has been published in Style Me Pretty, DIY Bride, Borrowed and Bleu and Ideal Home and Garden, to name a few. Heather has also been mentioned in Florists’ Review Magazine and on Preston Bailey’s blog. In addition to her published work, Heather is an experienced freelancer and travels worldwide assisting other floral design companies and most recently providing private consulting when she's not producing her own events.

So awesome
From our very first consultation, Heather was very attentive to details and the general aesthetic we were looking for, and gave us many options to consider. On the day of the wedding, every piece was so beautifully arranged, and we were perhaps too excited to take several pieces home. She has such an eye for the autumnal mixture we were seeking, and she mixed the flowers and colors in such a vibrant, fresh way.
We received multiple compliments on the flowers during and post-wedding. And just overall, we were so pleased with how present Heather was before the wedding as well. We can't recommend A Night in Bloom enough!!

Incredible experience with Heather
We had such a great time working with Heather. I was drawn to her work after being recommended by our venue, and not only did her work exceed our expectations, but her professionalism, personality, and enthusiasm did as well!
I didn't have a clear vision to start, and Heather was really helpful in directing one, even after switching around a few ideas. She didn't hesitate making several edits to the proposal, and was really quick in responding. I wish we met more frequently, selfishly because she was so fun to work with, but we only needed to hop on a few calls before the wedding. She was always willing and available to schedule an additional call to go over questions as well at any point!
I wish someone warned you about how much you don't really see your vendors the day of your wedding, because Heather was such a big part of the planning & design process, I wish I got to thank her more!!
Heather was so much fun to work with, you won't regret hiring her!

Wildflower Heaven
Heather and her team completely crushed it. They took the random thoughts and ideas I had and created something even more beautiful than I could have imagined. I had a sudden tragedy in the family and we had to move our wedding two months out, and she was incredibly accommodating and understanding. Wonderful Florist
Heather was a pleasure to work with and helped us create the perfect environment for our wedding last summer at Onteora Mountain House. She understood just what I was looking for and chose beautiful arrangements for everything. I especially loved my bouquet and the chuppah design. Heather even added in some recent blooms from her own garden that happened to fit my color palette perfectly. The trees the team brought in and decorated with twinkle lights really brought the reception decor all together. I would absolutely recommend using A Night in Bloom!

Dream Florals and Loveliest Team!
I'm so, so happy I was able to work with Heather and her team at A Night in Bloom. From the first communication to the week and day of my wedding, Heather has been such a lovely person to collaborate with. Going into my wedding, I really didn't know much about flowers. I knew I wanted to have seasonal and local blooms. Heather helped me piece together my floral vision, using mostly August blooms such as dahilas, zinnias, scabiosa and pops of chocolate cosmos with lots of lush greenery! Heather even added vines of hops to some centerpieces and my bouquet, which I thought was fantastic and cute touch!!
Heather and her team are so patient and flexiable. They were able to work with the budget I gave them and knew exactly how to make the most of my budget for the florals. They also allowed me to use my own gold lanterns and candles that I borrowed from a friend and encorporated them into my proposal and vision! Communication was always so easy and simple with the many questions I had for Heather over the year I was wedding planning.
One specific request I had for A Night in Bloom was a special memory table for my younger sister who passed away. Along with photos of my sister, Heather decorated the table SO beautifully with candles and soft roses, it brought immediate tears to my family and I. I appreciated so much having that beautiful space for the memory of my sister on my wedding day. It's the extra details, the determination to go above and beyond and the most caring and empathetic demeanor from Heather and her team that I will remember forever and I am very grateful and humbled.

Best Florist Award!!!
Heather and the team at A Night in Bloom are amazing!! We looked far and wide and interviewed many florists for our wedding - we’re so glad we found Heather. We had a vision for wedding flowers but have very limited knowledge of what’s in season, what goes well together, and how to pull together a cohesive look. Heather took time to connect with us by phone, shared a very detailed proposal (cognizant of our vision and price point), and throughout the whole process, took time to understand exactly what we wanted and make sure we felt comfortable that her vision matched our own. On the actual wedding day, Heather executed perfectly. Everything was beautiful. It was as if she’d read our minds on everything we may have thought but didn’t communicate. The bouquets matched our bridal party dresses perfectly. The table we sat at had a little more floral pizzazz than other tables, exactly as we hoped. It was about 10 degrees hotter than normal on our wedding day (a ~92 degree very humid day!) and Heather was able to preserve our flowers, delivering everything at the perfect time to ensure they would stay fresh for each portion of our wedding day. Last but certainly not least - Heather’s presence was wonderful throughout our entire planning process and wedding day. She projects calm and expertise. She delivers on all her promises and more. She’s a good communicator, clear about exactly what we can expect from her. She’s as present on your wedding day as you want her to be - for us, she was like the unseen angel helper. She came in while we were getting ready to drop bouquets and say hi, but was otherwise seen only through her beautiful flowers. Despite our limited experience and direction with flowers, she was remarkably able to make it feel like us. She’s great at what she does! I will recommend her to everyone I know getting married in the area. If we were to go back, we’d choose Heather and A Night in Bloom again.

Heather is kind and our florals were beautiful!
Heather was so wonderful and easy to work with, she even worked with my date re-schedule due to the pandemic. When I first reached out, she sent this beautiful floral proposal and since I am a visual person it really helped for me to see the vision in photos. She remained within my budget and brought the bouquets, corsage, and boutonnieres to my room at the venue, everything organized and beautifully labeled. If you want ease and kindness throughout your wedding planning process (who doesn't??) choose Heather and Night in Bloom :-)

A Night in Bloom is truly AMAZING
Heather at a Night in Bloom is incredible!! We were truly blown away by the flowers at our wedding -- we still stare at the photos and marvel. She was so so kind and professional and wonderful to work with. What we loved about working with her the most was that she was so honest with us about what would and wouldn't work, while still being so generous and thoughtful in trying to make as many things as possible come to life. We initially thought we'd do a whole DIY flowers thing and thankfully we changed that plan many months in advance because what she did was beyond anything we could have ever imagined. We are so grateful we had the privilege of working with her as our wedding florist!!

Best Florist there is!!
I am SO insanely happy we found Heather. She was so easy to communicate back and forth with (something that is so rare and crucial when planning a wedding!) and was so professional. She saw our vision right away and was able to put together the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. Everyone kept talking about our flowers!! I could not recommend her enough to others. Being professional is one thing, but also she is so kind and warm in her emails and it helped calm the whole wedding process for me. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and I'm even sure we'll remain friends after this

Beautiful Flowers!
Heather was a dream to work with! She has a lot of great packages to choose from that are truly reasonable in cost. Heather personalized the colors for the package I wanted, sent detailed invoices, and even sent me photos of the flowers the morning of my wedding so we were fully on the same page. Despite all that, I was truly taken aback at how stunning my bouquet was in person! All the flowers were absolutely gorgeous- you can't go wrong with A Night in Bloom!
