Susan was absolutely amazing to work with for my wedding day! Susan met with me multiple times to discuss my vision for my flowers on my wedding day. She is incredibly nice and so knowledgeable and knew exactly how to make my vision come to life. She truly goes above and beyond for her customers. She is very familiar with all the venues in the local area and has a great relationship with nearby vendors making set up so easy. Susan is wonderful to work with and I can't recommend her enough for flowers for your wedding day.

Sue from Floral Cottage absolutely crushed the flowers for our wedding. Her arrangements made both our ceremony and reception spaces come to life and the color combos were perfect! We are so happy we chose Floral Cottage for our special day. Sue was flexible in her availability to meet with us several times leading up to the wedding and made sure to include our favorite requested flowers. Our bouquets, boutonnières, ceremony arch, signs, reception tables, and sweetheart table were absolutely breathtaking. We loved them so much we tried to stuff in as many arrangements in our cars after the wedding to enjoy them for a few more days. Thank you Sue, you are so talented!

I hired Sue on the Recommendation of Tim at Mountain View Manor. I had seen some pictures of her work and was impressed so I decided to hire her without really talking to her in depth. I got to talk to her and have our first meeting at the tasting at MVM. It lasted about 10 minutes. I showed her inspiration pictures, and described the colors and tried to describe my vision. When I finished my very long description, she said, “Ok, so you’re looking for something like . . “ and went on to describe exactly what I had been having problems putting into words!! I felt so confident that we never really talked about it again!! LOL (I’m sure you can, she is the sweetest, nicest woman ever, I just didn’t feel the need, there were so many other things to think about and she seemed to have it all covered!) When people asked me what my flowers were going to look like, I would just laugh and say I didn’t really know! (I was doing a multi-colored wildflower look, and I didn’t have specific flowers I wanted, just the color profile)
Can I say, that I was BEYOND delighted at what Sue did for all the flowers at the Wedding. The centerpieces were exquisite and even better than what I could have imagined in my head. They worked with both the room and the ambiance I wanted to project. The flowers for the arch at the ceremony were lush and made the pictures look magical. She truly went above and beyond to make things beautiful for my wedding and I am so grateful that I picked her!!

Sue from Floral Cottage Weddings totally exceeded any expectations that I ever could have imagined. There is really no other way to describe how much I loved my wedding flowers!!

My husband and I got married at Mountain View Manor in Glen Spey, NY in September of 2019. We are not local to that area so we relied on the venue for many of our vendor choices. They highly recommended Sue from Floral Cottage Weddings, and we hired her based on that recommendation. We met with her once or twice prior to our wedding. Since I am not from that area I didn’t have the option to have her create any samples for me to see. Honestly I preferred it that way because I really didn’t want to have to make too many decisions.

I explained that since I was getting married in September, I did not want pastels (light pinks, light yellows, lavender, white), but that I really don’t like the fall colors either (browns, golds, and dark purples). I didn’t give many specific requests for certain flowers other than ranunculus. Basically, I didn’t even know what I wanted, and I was worried that I wasn’t giving Sue a clear enough picture of what I was hoping for. She actually seemed to immediately understand me though. She said that she could design my wedding flowers using “summer fall” colors, incorporating ranunculus. When she said that, I felt so at ease. It was like she knew what I wanted, even though I didn’t know how to explain it!! I chose gold goblets for the centerpiece containers, requested that she wrap my bouquet stems in a piece of my grandmother’s dress, and left the rest of the design to her. The result was amazing.

My bridal bouquet was absolutely stunning. There is no other word for it. The “summer fall” color scheme she put together was spectacular, and really felt appropriate for September. Not spring or mid-summer, but not fall either! She did a wonderful job wrapping the stems with the piece of my grandmother’s dress. The centerpieces were completely outstanding and really made the whole reception room look amazing. I gave zero input regarding what I wanted the corsages and boutineers to look like, and what Sue created was so intricately and delicately put together that I was just in awe. The flowers over our altar made a statement, and the shepherd’s hooks lining the seating area were so cute and cheerful!! The small bud vases that I asked her to fill each had a few cute sprigs of different things and brightened up all of the outdoor tables and some of the mantles and bar tops. Although we didn’t discuss size or volume that much during the planning process, I feel that everything I received was HUGE, and way bigger than I ever would have expected. I was literally in shock when I first saw everything, and then practically in tears.

Sue runs a wonderful business. She is helpful, responsive, and reliable, and the value for what she delivers is unbelievable!! She is extremely talented and her creations are masterpieces! On top of that, it’s clear that she loves what she does. She gets along with all of the other vendors, and she really loves the brides and their families. She actually went out of her way to ensure that I had a few flowers at the venue for a dinner I hosted the night prior, and also left our centerpieces on site for the following day through our brunch. It was so sweet!! My family enjoyed working with her, and I love to stay in touch with her via email and social media. I highly recommend using her for your wedding or event!!

Sue is a true professional. When I sat down to talk to her about what types of flowers I wanted for my wedding she really listened to me, provided advice and answered my questions. She did not just recommend the most expensive options like I expected all of my vendors would. She worked within my budget and went totally above and beyond my expectations. Her work is amazing -my bouquet was breathtaking as were the bridesmaids bouquets and ALL of the arrangements. In addition to the florar arrangements, Sue’s service was even more impressive. When I arrived at the venue on my wedding day, she was putting the finishing touches on the arrangements and setup. She showed me all of her work - I was so impressed! In addition to that, she had all of the corsages and boutineers together with everyone’s names on them, she helped to put them on all of my VIPs (parents, grandparents & groomsmen). She helped pin my great grandmother’s locket (something old) to my bouquet so I didn’t have to worry about losing it. She made this flower crown for my flower girl who was absolutely adored it, I will remember the look on her face when she saw it forever. Sue’s flowers really gave all of my photos a pop of color. Our flowers were absolutely beautiful, they were exactly what I imagined. Our venue was an hour and a half from where Susan is located and she was prompt to drop everything off. We had a random passing thunderstorm that knocked over some of our outdoor flower arrangements crushing some of the flowers. Susan came all the way back to the venue and fixed everything without hesitation. We never even knew anything had gone wrong. Susan also made an extra basket of flowers for my flower girl to hold in photographs. I would highly recommend Susan, she takes the time to get to know your vision and bring it to life!

Susan at the Floral Cottage was a dream. She arranged the flowers for our wedding this past weekend in Eldred, NY and it was better than I had even envisioned. I was never able to meet up with Susan in person before the wedding because I don’t live locally, though she offered many times for us to meet up if I wished, but it was a breeze working with her. From the first time we spoke, she got me immediately. It was like she could finish my sentences. I even considered marrying her instead of my husband :) I wanted a simple, bohemian look for my outdoor wedding and she nailed it. She was professional in every way. She cared deeply about me being happy with how everything looked on our big day. I’m still over the moon about the flowers and the arrangements and tablescapes.
