My husband, Shawn and I chose Rachel Thurston based off of her beautiful Instagram page that our wedding planner sent us since we were having a destination wedding. Rachel’s photographic abilities are undeniable. She has a unique way of capturing pure emotion in candid pictures and is able to freeze the most perfect moments in posed pictures. On top of that, she made sure to capture all of the smallest details that many others may have overlooked, that helps to highlight the personal touches that we were aiming for with our wedding. We had no frustrations or challenges with Rachel. However, we did have some fear of the unknown which comes with hosting a destination wedding. But the minute we both met Rachel, separately while getting ready for our big day all of those fears dissipated. It felt like we were talking to a friend that we had known for years. She went out of her way to shoot extra getting ready photos in case the weather became temperamental. She found the most beautiful spots to memorialize our first look. She captured all of the laughs and tears during our ceremony and reception and knew exactly when golden hour was happening and had the perfect eye when scoping out where to take photos. Rachel is truly the embodiment of warmth and sunshine. She truly exceeded our expectations and we cannot recommend her enough!

We had the pleasure of working with Joel Guy from Wedding Videos Kaua’i for our wedding day videographer. If you are on the fence about having your wedding on video, we say YES! JUST DO IT! You will not regret it. Our wedding was at sunrises ..Joel was there before us ready to go. This was 5:30am! Every time we watch our wedding video, we are transported back to that special moment. Our words to each other, the waves, our minister Kelvin Ho’s spiritually inspiring ceremony all captured forever. When friends ask about our wedding, we show them our video. Everyone was blown away by the pull away drone shots, the lightning, the audio. He chose excellent music for the video bed. Joel knows his craft. He is professional, super easy to work with. Thank you Joel for giving us a memory that will last our lifetime!

We picked an assortment from her menu and many of our guests stated that the luncheon after our daughter's wedding ceremony was a highlight of the day! (We had some real "foodies" among us!) The quality of the food was matched by her outstanding customer service. She went over and above the call of duty to help us out with last minute details that were not even her direct responsibility! My husband and I wanted a low-key wedding on the beach. After a lot of searches, we found Alii Kauai weddings. From the first day we spoke to Jessica, we knew working with a wedding coordinator was the best decision we could have made. We ended up doing an essential package at sunset in January. Throughout the entire process, Jessica was always responsive, no matter what day I emailed her. The day of our wedding was exactly what we wanted: perfect and low key. Crystal did my makeup and make; she was very easy to get along with. Crystal joined in the conversation and laughter with my girlfriends and I while working. I was over the moon with how she did my hair and make up. The only hitch in the days, was that my parents were unable to make it to Kauai. Jessica, however, came to the rescue. She was able to find a videographer, Joel, with less than 24 hours’ notice. Our day of wedding coordinator, Hailey, was wonderful. She talked to everyone and helped where needed. She took the stress out of the day and helped make it fun. Our officiant, Kahu Chuck, was amazing. Despite never meeting us and only talking with my husband and I in separate conversations, he put together an amazing ceremony that was full of love and laughter. Harneet was our photographer. Once the ceremony was over, he quickly got to work getting our group shots and photos of my husband and I. Within a few days, we received the sneak peek photos. They exceeded our expectations! We can’t wait to see the remainder. Joel, the videographer, was fun to work with and while we haven’t received the video yet, we know it will be beautiful. If you want to get married in Kauai, you will not regret working with the team at Alii.

It simply does not get any better than Ted! I sought a photographer who was creative, a visionary, and operated in complete excellence and professionalism - Ted delivered beyond my expectations. We hired Ted for a full-day for a 50th Birthday photo documentary/photo session. He was punctual, flexible, fun, and helped me and my guests to feel relaxed. That was critically important to me because it helped us to be open to Ted's creative direction. Having him with us for a full day also allowed us to see what a wonderful person he genuinely is. I haven't seen all of my pictures (He's still working on them), but from what I have seen thus far - WOW!!! Ted is the one you want - HANDS DOWN! Much Mahalo Ted! ??
