We hired David’s BBQ for our wedding — but what we got was so much more than catering. Bobby and Alicia became our caterers, decorators, coordinators, and honestly, our best friends for the day. From the moment we reached out, Bobby was a force. His communication was excellent, and he helped us understand what was possible within our budget while working with us to find exactly what we envisioned. We met several times: once for the tasting and initial vision, once for his planning workshop, and once more to drop off the final check and sneak a peek at the signage. Every meeting left us feeling more confident. Finding Bobby and his team was a genuine lifesaver. He’s like a one-man band who somehow does it all. All of the décor from signage to tablecloths (except the florals) was provided by Bobby. He proactively sourced more of the pieces we liked, and gave us invaluable insight into how weddings typically flow so we could make informed decisions as non-wedding professionals. One of his best suggestions was to go from table to table to dismiss our guests for dinner since we weren’t planning a traditional receiving line. It ended up being one of the major highlights of the entire day for our guests - such a personal, heartfelt touch. By the time we arrived at the venue, everything was already beautifully set up. All we had to do was walk in and take it all in. The food and service were outstanding — do not let the word “BBQ” fool you. The dishes were delicious, well-seasoned, high quality, and served by a friendly and approachable team. We received countless compliments - especially on the meatball appetizers and his citrus brandy chicken sauce. The brisket was melt in your mouth divine. Bobby truly is the ultimate one-stop shop for wedding needs. He was the heaviest hitter of our entire day, and we are so grateful we found him. Hiring David’s BBQ for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made.

Working with Betsy at The Plant Shoppe in Gainesville, FL was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our first meeting was all about vision. She asked thoughtful questions, had me send inspiration photos, and even provided an organized Excel spreadsheet detailing everything: bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, table centerpieces, preferred flowers and colors, and even the flowers I didn’t like. It made the process so clear and easy right from the beginning. Her communication was timely and professional, and about a month before the wedding, we met again to nail down specific inspiration photos and walk through what I liked and didn’t like about them. She also clarified the full floral delivery timeline for the day, which gave me so much peace of mind. On the wedding day, her team arrived early at Holy Faith Catholic Church and set up the pew markers quickly and respectfully within the church’s guidelines. When her team member handed the groomsmen their boutonnieres and gave me my bouquet, she told me that our reception venue, the Thomas Center, already looked gorgeous. That moment meant so much. After the ceremony, when I walked into the reception venue I was awed by the large centerpieces and string lighting and draped fabric - simply stunning. And the flowers! I couldn’t have loved them more. My bouquet felt wild, organic, freeform — but still elegant and elevated. Exactly what I hoped for. Betsy was also thoughtful about budget and made smart suggestions, like repurposing the bridesmaids’ bouquets as centerpieces for the smaller tables during the reception. Overall, I only wish I could keep the arrangements forever. The Plant Shoppe brought my vision to life more beautifully than I imagined.

Ms. Emma was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. During the memorial event for my mother, Ms. Emma went above and beyond. Working with her was like working with a family member. We appreciate the care and concern that she took with the memorial service planning. Thank you again for all that you did during the planning process and during the event!

Rob was amazing to work with. I'm not one who is big into pictures, but he really doesn't make it feel like you are in a photoshoot. Everything feels natural, he gets things done quickly, but takes his time to get the right shots. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect, and we will forever recommend him and his company. A big thank you to his assistant as well!

My flowers were beautiful and fresh. I had numerous compliments on the flower arrangements. I couldn't have been more pleased.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!! They are the best around. Their style of photography cannot be beat. These are award winning photographers, and Krystal served in the Army as a photojournalist. This is a husband and wife team, so you get 2-for-1! They are expensive, but honestly, worth every penny if you can afford it! They provided a slide show of photos at the reception and all of our guests commented on how amazing the pictures turned out. They have very fun, upbeat personalities and make you feel instantly comfortable being photographed. We love these guys! I cannot say enough good things about them.

OK, 2nd best decision if you count proposing to my wife as the first best decision. At first we did most of the planning ourselves but realized that there were going to be details such as 'who will hold the door open for her entrance', 'who will make sure things are ready before we arrive', and lots of others that we didn't want to put onto family and friends. A'vie already came recommended from some people I really trust and I couldn't have been happier with our decision to bring them on. From our first meeting my wife and I felt a huge sense of relief and weight lifted off our shoulders. We hadn't even decided to hire them yet and they were already making calls to vendors for us to make sure arrangements were on track. They were only supposed to be 'day of' services but they were so much more. We had problems with our cake lady and A'vie found us an amazing replacement (we have since used that vendor for other events). Then the biggest was when our photographer dropped us 3 days before the wedding and didn't have a back up person. We called A'vie immediately and by the next day they had a replacement for us. We wish we had gone with that photographer in the beginning because they were amazing! We have also since used that photographer for several photo shoots since the wedding. Angela has put together a wonderful team at A'vie Events and we loved working with everyone. Things were fixed before we even knew there was a concern. Our parents and several guests came up to us after the wedding to compliment how nice and helpful the A'vie team was. I could keep going on and on about how great they were but if you should already be calling them to set up a meeting. I am 100% confident that if you just talk to them you will feel that sense of relief that they will be there for you every step of the way no matter what unexpected thing happens. I would (and have) recommended them to anyone who planning a wedding or any event big or small! Thanks A'vie Events!!!

When you go into wedding planning, you don't expect to become best friends with your caterer. But that's exactly what happened. Valerie and I hit it off, and she worked tirelessly - while pregnant! - to make Max and I's special day flawless for us. Nothing deterred her. Her mother passed away early on, and Valerie kept at it. Our contact at the Harn Museum changed and some new policies were enacted, and Valerie was unfazed. From setting up a last-minute tailgate to arranging tables by tea bags, priming a memorial table and decking out Scottish plaids and favors all over the place, taking excellent care of my friend's homemade centerpieces and giving us the perfect numbers for a booze list, even staging a buffet in a tiny space and making the best damn potatoes I've ever encountered, our guests could not stop raving about the delicious food, generous portions (our cake was at least 2 inch thick blocks!), tasty sangria, and beautiful presentation. I'm thankful that Celebrations always had their doors open so my MIL and I could drop off items. I'm grateful for the tastings so I could perfect the vegan jackfruit option. I'm ecstatic that Valerie is my bud, so I can see what life brings her way. If it's anything like what Celebrations put on for my wedding, it'll be nothing short of spectacular. Classy business, even picking up slack for other vendors and comping items like extra tables when the write-up from a vendor was incorrect. This company treats you like family. I'll remember them like family, too.

Do yourself a favor and hire Joan Prange for your wedding. From the moment I met with Joan for the consult I knew she was the one to bring my wedding vision to life. I am incredibly Type A and didn't have to worry for one second about the flowers, because I knew Joan had it. Her experience is unmatched. The flowers at our wedding were absolutely stunning. Joan is the best!
