Working with Betsy at The Plant Shoppe in Gainesville, FL was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our first meeting was all about vision. She asked thoughtful questions, had me send inspiration photos, and even provided an organized Excel spreadsheet detailing everything: bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, table centerpieces, preferred flowers and colors, and even the flowers I didn’t like. It made the process so clear and easy right from the beginning.

Her communication was timely and professional, and about a month before the wedding, we met again to nail down specific inspiration photos and walk through what I liked and didn’t like about them. She also clarified the full floral delivery timeline for the day, which gave me so much peace of mind.

On the wedding day, her team arrived early at Holy Faith Catholic Church and set up the pew markers quickly and respectfully within the church’s guidelines. When her team member handed the groomsmen their boutonnieres and gave me my bouquet, she told me that our reception venue, the Thomas Center, already looked gorgeous. That moment meant so much. After the ceremony, when I walked into the reception venue I was awed by the large centerpieces and string lighting and draped fabric - simply stunning.

And the flowers! I couldn’t have loved them more. My bouquet felt wild, organic, freeform — but still elegant and elevated. Exactly what I hoped for. Betsy was also thoughtful about budget and made smart suggestions, like repurposing the bridesmaids’ bouquets as centerpieces for the smaller tables during the reception.

Overall, I only wish I could keep the arrangements forever. The Plant Shoppe brought my vision to life more beautifully than I imagined.

I met with Betsy very last minute, just a few weeks before the wedding. She made everything easy and effortless. We met one time and discussed ideas and found examples of things I liked. They did my bouquet, corsages, boutonnieres, and flower petals for the isle way. Everything was better than I could have imagined.

We got married last month and we were blessed with a fairy tale wedding. Everything from the venue to the weather was perfect. But more importantly, we could have not done this without the relentless help, love, and dedication we received from the team of people who helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives.
Our wedding ceremony took place under the big oak tree at the Historic Thomas Center in Gainesville. Our florist, Betsy Gardner from the Plant Shoppe Florist (https://www.facebook.com/theplantshoppeflorist/), customized our flowers as requested matching our wedding colors of navy blue and gold to beautiful hydrangeas, gardenias, delphiniums, and tulips. Our bouquets were gorgeous! Betsy and her team also hung lanterns from the oak tree and suggested hanging some of our reception bottles with lights in them from the branches, which added significantly to the overall romance of the decor. She made gorgeous gold leaf garlands for our cat stroller (our cats were the ring-bearers!) and for the tables at the reception. Betsy and her team came to the venue early and they not only set up the lanterns, bottles, and flowers, but they also helped our wedding planner decorate the tables at the reception. They went above and beyond and were just great and fairly priced. We highly recommend Betsy and her team for weddings, special events, and all other flower needs.
