Ethereal Flowers

Betsy and her team exceeded my expectations with all of the floral arrangements for my wedding. The flowers were absolutely stunning and set at a very reasonable price. Betsy is a a great artist and truly listened to my input and went above and beyond to make the flower designs more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! During my wedding I was in awe the entire time and even got emotional when I saw my bouquet and ceremony setup. It was a dream come true. Do yourself a favor and hire The Plant Shoppe Florist for any of your floral needs. They will not disappoint. Thank you Betsy and your team!

I only wish I could keep the arrangements forever

Working with Betsy at The Plant Shoppe in Gainesville, FL was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our first meeting was all about vision. She asked thoughtful questions, had me send inspiration photos, and even provided an organized Excel spreadsheet detailing everything: bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, table centerpieces, preferred flowers and colors, and even the flowers I didn’t like. It made the process so clear and easy right from the beginning.

Her communication was timely and professional, and about a month before the wedding, we met again to nail down specific inspiration photos and walk through what I liked and didn’t like about them. She also clarified the full floral delivery timeline for the day, which gave me so much peace of mind.

On the wedding day, her team arrived early at Holy Faith Catholic Church and set up the pew markers quickly and respectfully within the church’s guidelines. When her team member handed the groomsmen their boutonnieres and gave me my bouquet, she told me that our reception venue, the Thomas Center, already looked gorgeous. That moment meant so much. After the ceremony, when I walked into the reception venue I was awed by the large centerpieces and string lighting and draped fabric - simply stunning.

And the flowers! I couldn’t have loved them more. My bouquet felt wild, organic, freeform — but still elegant and elevated. Exactly what I hoped for. Betsy was also thoughtful about budget and made smart suggestions, like repurposing the bridesmaids’ bouquets as centerpieces for the smaller tables during the reception.

Overall, I only wish I could keep the arrangements forever. The Plant Shoppe brought my vision to life more beautifully than I imagined.

Wonderful Experience

Betsy was so easy and great to work with for our wedding. I went in with no real opinion on what I wanted besides color and a few pinterest inspo pictures and she had great ideand and put everything together beautifully. Each interaction and consultation leading up to our wedding day went smoothly. Highly recommend using The Plant Shoppe as your floral vendor!

The best wedding flowers

Betsy at The Plant Shoppe is incredible. I was planning my wedding from out of state, and she was always easy to get in touch with and happy to hop on a call to talk through any design or logistical questions I had! Gorgeous flowers for a great price

Betsy was great to work with and very helpful with picking out the best flowers and greenery for our wedding. We were happy with everything, and The Plant Shoppe was extremely affordable compared to all other options! Everything looked beautiful and was set up on time for our big day.

I met with Betsy very last minute, just a few weeks before the wedding. She made everything easy and effortless. We met one time and discussed ideas and found examples of things I liked. They did my bouquet, corsages, boutonnieres, and flower petals for the isle way. Everything was better than I could have imagined.

Excellent Florist at reasonable prices!

We got married last month and we were blessed with a fairy tale wedding. Everything from the venue to the weather was perfect. But more importantly, we could have not done this without the relentless help, love, and dedication we received from the team of people who helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives.
Our wedding ceremony took place under the big oak tree at the Historic Thomas Center in Gainesville. Our florist, Betsy Gardner from the Plant Shoppe Florist (https://www.facebook.com/theplantshoppeflorist/), customized our flowers as requested matching our wedding colors of navy blue and gold to beautiful hydrangeas, gardenias, delphiniums, and tulips. Our bouquets were gorgeous! Betsy and her team also hung lanterns from the oak tree and suggested hanging some of our reception bottles with lights in them from the branches, which added significantly to the overall romance of the decor. She made gorgeous gold leaf garlands for our cat stroller (our cats were the ring-bearers!) and for the tables at the reception. Betsy and her team came to the venue early and they not only set up the lanterns, bottles, and flowers, but they also helped our wedding planner decorate the tables at the reception. They went above and beyond and were just great and fairly priced. We highly recommend Betsy and her team for weddings, special events, and all other flower needs.

Great experience, beautiful arrangements

The Plant Shoppe was recommended by multiple other vendors that I used for my wedding, and after working with Betsy it's clear why so many other businesses sent me in her direction. She did an amazing job on our florals, was extremely responsive, and provided gorgeous arrangements for a very reasonable price. I only had a very general idea of what I wanted - Betsy took my fairly minimal information on style and types of flowers, recommended creative solutions and did an amazing job creating a beautiful aesthetic for our arrangements.

Genius Floral Designs

When you hire Betsy you have just stepped up the possibilities for your wedding! For our wedding we needed a lot of greenery and flowers as we had our wedding in a screened in patio so everything could be outside and Covid friendly. Betsy took that space and created more than we could have dreamed of and turned an ordinary space into a magical fairy land (I’m not exaggerating, see the pictures below). I am a flower nut and thought I would recognize every flower used but Betsy sourced plants that I had never seen before that made our wedding over the top gorgeous! Because I love flowers so much I also wanted everyone to go home with flowers so she created individual bouquets in vases for people to keep and used them as a part of the decor. I had asked Betsy to make sure that this didn't look like the same wedding that has been done 100 times before and she nailed it! If you want spectacular then choose The Plante Shoppe Florist!

Beautiful Wedding Flowers and Attention To Detail

I am the mother of the bride and I reached out to Betsy at The Plant Shoppe Florist to discuss flowers for our January 2020 wedding. Although the bride had very specific ideas of what "look" she wanted, choosing specific flower types was a challenge for her. After sharing the bride's Pinterest page, as well as the budget, with Betsy, she made suggestions of particular flowers and greenery that would give the bride "her look" and found ways to keep us in budget. The bride's bouquet, bridemaids bouquets and all of the floral elements for their wedding were perfect. And the eucalyptus garland was perfect simplicity and filled the pergola top beautifully! She even reached out to me just days after the wedding to notify me that I had over-payed her on the final payment and asked how I would like to have the overage returned to me! Not only is Betsy (and her staff) an incredibly talented floral designer, she is also an ethical business woman. Great combination!

Gorgeous flowers, great service!

We loved our bouquets and arrangements by Betsy! She made it easy for me (with no floral experience AND planning from out of state) by requesting my Pinterest board, then went over it with me over the phone, asking questions and clarifying the styles I liked/didn't like. She was flexible when I wanted to stay within a budget, and we ended up using my bridesmaid's bouquets for most of the centerpieces & doing greenery and blooms with candles or lanterns for the other tables, which was great and looked beautiful. She made a gorgeous arrangement for our seating chart and for two barrels, and very pretty boutonnieres and corsages! She delivered the bouquets to our getting-ready location and the rest to our 30-minutes-out-of-town venue, which was much appreciated!! Overall would definitely recommend--thank you Betsy!

Betsy really delivered on our wedding day. She really listened to what I wanted for my flowers (colorful and leafy) and came through with such beautiful arrangements, especially my bouquet. I loved how she worked with the decor we already had and accentuated it with the most wonderful selection of flowers, ferns, moss and air plants. The finished arrangements were better than anything I could have dreamt of. I wish they lasted forever!

She was really awesome to work with, too. We're an out-of-state couple, so we mostly had to talk via phone and emails. She was patient with me through the planning process, gave helpful suggestions about the design and kept everything on budget. I'm really happy that I went with The Plant Shoppe Florist.

The Plant Shoppe is a MUST for your wedding in Gainesville. Betsy is extremely creative with ideas, flowers were as fresh as could be, our son/daughter in law's wedding was a hit due to this florist. Our photos are amazing with the flowers and decor.

Betsy was delightful to work with for my wedding arrangements. I got bouquets, boutonnieres, a table runner (for our intimate party of 20) as well as a centerpiece that - per her suggestion - served as an altar piece AND the focal piece of the reception table. She was organized and checked in with me leading up to the date to verify details and such. I felt confident in her reliability and she did not disappoint with her timely delivery and everything. The arrangements were gorgeous and complimented by all guests. I also appreciated her working with me on pricing since we did have such a small wedding, I didn't want to spend a fortune on flowers. She made smart, gorgeous suggestions that my wallet thanks her for!!

Betsy, The Plant Shoppe is a TRUE GEM. From just a few phone conversations and an inspiration board on Pinterest, you were able to create the most breathtaking flowers I have ever laid my eyes on. I am so happy we used Betsy and her team for our flowers. We had a few meetings beforehand to go over specifics and Betsy was on top of everything. She was so calm and collected even though I didn't have much of a clue what I wanted most of the time. Every time I had an idea, she knew exactly what to do. On the big day, our reception venue messed up the timeline a bit, but Betsy and her team still delivered! The flowers were amazingly beautiful and better than I even imagined. My bouquet was perfect! And the flowers that went on our chuppah were stunning; we had so many compliments.

Our florist, the Plante Shoppe, made beautiful bouquets and a gazebo piece for us. When I talked to Betsey, I didn't really know what I wanted. She showed me lots of photos and was really great at making suggestions for flowers and colors that would fit. They came out even more beautiful than I was expecting them to be! She was also accommodating when I needed to change our appointment time at the last minute, which I appreciated and generally was very communicative.

Betsy was always available for any questions or concerns and had great advice.
The flowers were amazing and lasted so long after the event as well. I was able to take my bouquet to work and enjoy it even more.

I am beyond thrilled I had the Plant Shoppe Florist make the floral arrangements at my wedding. My bouquet was absolutely stunning, boutineers were beautiful, toss bouquet was nice, and toss flowers were amazing. I cannot wait to see how it all looks in my wedding pictures because in person they were so beautiful. I was hesitant to use the Plant Shoppe Florist at first because of a few poor google reviews however I am beyond happy that I went to them. They do amazing work, create beautiful floral arrangements, and have great prices. I would totally recommend Betsy and her staff to anyone and everyone needing any type of floral arrangement.

Betsy and her team are absolutely amazing! My sister first used her for her wedding and I was so impressed with their work I decided to use them for mine, and they got exactly what I was looking for in my vision. I often felt like I didn't do a very good job of communicating what it was that I wanted but Betsy seemed to know exactly what I wanted. Amazing flowers - a true "artist" touch. We had a unique need and Betsey creatively made "flower balls" to hang from the porch. She came and installed them. The wedding was Sunday - today is Friday and they are still beautiful!

I gave Betsy some general ideas about what I was looking for. She went above and beyond my vision. She and her staff were so helpful in guiding us through the wedding process (we had a short engagement). The Plant Shoppe was a recommendation from our wedding coordinator. Planning from afar, I did not have the luxury to meet with anyone in person so this recommendation was a big help. The owner, Betsy, knows her stuff. My floral direction changed between the initial consultation and estimate and the meeting closer to the wedding (I'm told this is fairly typical). The flower colors and types I had chosen were not in season or readily available that time of year so, needless to say, I needed some guidance and creative thinking to help realize the new vision within the original budget. There were several emails and a few phone calls but the Plant Shoppe was able to make it happen. The bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets and all the corsages and boutonnieres turned out perfectly. The vases Betsy ordered for the centerpieces were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. I also rented about 100 of their votives in assorted mercury glass holders which made for beautiful lighting and decor at the event. Setup and teardown of everything was handled 100% by Betsy and her team, which made everything super simple after the reception ended. This is great vendor who will work with you to get you what you want within your budget.

The Plant Shoppe did a spectacular job for my wedding. Betsy was an absolute joy to work with. I had to plan my wedding from out-of-state (I lived in Nashville at the time; wedding was being held in Gainesville), and she was very understanding and accommodating of my schedule and my need for flexibility. When I started the wedding planning process, I was clueless about flowers in general. Betsy was incredibly patient with me, listened to my ideas, talked me through why some flowers would/wouldn't work, and suggested more than viable alternatives when what I wanted wasn't quite possible (out of my price range, not in season, etc.). Believe me when I say that I was difficult to work with: I was both particular and indecisive about the flowers, if that makes any sense.

Betsy just **got** what my vision was. My flowers came out not just exactly as I pictured them to, but even better than I could ever imagine! My bouquet was breathtaking; it was the perfect combination of the different textures and colors I wanted, but didn't know that I wanted. The wedding guests couldn't stop gushing about how gorgeous the flowers were. Quite a few stated that my bouquet was the most beautiful bridal bouquet they'd ever seen! The bridesmaids' bouquets, the boutonnieres, and the corsages were perfect. The asymmetrical arch on the gazebo (Betsy's idea!) transformed the ceremony space. The clear vases w/ flowers she provided were a great addition to the centerpieces for the reception. I wish I could upload pictures!

It was obvious from day one that Betsy is extremely knowledgeable about flowers and plants, even taking into account that this is her profession. There were times when I couldn't articulate exactly what I wanted, and she just *knew.* I don't know how else to explain it. Additionally, The Plant Shoppe staff were friendly, professional, delivered the flowers on time, and were there to pick up the vases as scheduled. They clearly love what they do. Would hire again!

We enjoyed working with The Plant Shoppe Florist. Betsy Gardner was very helpful in taking our ideas and creating a beautiful theme. We also used them for our invitations which were an excellent quality and good value. They went above and beyond what they were contracted for. Our wedding day it rained which significantly changed our plans and Betsy pulled through for us creating a beautiful arbor still keeping key elements we were to have outdoors under a large oak tree. Betsy is very professional, kind and creative. We enjoyed our meetings with her and the service she provided for us. We have continued to use her for flower arrangements since our wedding as well. Betsy and her staff are JUST THE BEST. I was nervous about choosing a florist, because I know nothing about flowers, and am super indecisive. Betsy sat and talked with me a few times, looked at my inspiration photos, and showed up to my wedding with flowers that surpassed my expectations. I think I audibly gasped when I saw my bouquet. Not only were the flowers amazing, but her and her team were able to put up the beautiful fabric and lights across the ceiling of the venue, as I had been dreaming of :)

She was respectful of my budget, proposed novel ideas I hadn't thought of, was willing to make changes, and most importantly actually LISTENED to what I was saying. Not to mention, the value is tremendous- I never thought I could get such beautiful arrangements within my modest budget. Other florists were showing me much less impressive flowers.

With Plant Shoppe, I didn't have to worry about a single thing. Everything was correct, looked perfect, and showed up on time. The flowers went from being one of my biggest worries during planning, to one of my favorite things about my wedding. Thank you to the team for a job well done! Would recommend them to anyone :)

The Plant Shoppe was very reasonable about staying within our budget. The flowers seemed reasonably priced and it was no problem getting everything that we wanted within our flower budget. They also said that they donate/recycle flowers after the wedding so that the flowers don't just get thrown out which was an added bonus!

I wish there was an option for more than 5 stars! I have never been so blown away by flowers in my life!! Foliage is definitely not my forte and somehow Betsy was able to take my harebrained ideas of flowers and work absolute magic! I was overwhelmed when I saw my own bouquet and then when I saw all the flowers as the day went by I was without words! I was so touched that she was able to include a type a leaf I had told her a story about having played with when I was a child in my grandparents home. My grandmother had just passed a week prior to my wedding and when I saw them in my bouquet they brought me incredible comfort. As far as value - wow - they were able to work all this magic and stay way under my budget - purely amazing!

Betsy created beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, and decor for our wedding ceremony and reception! I brought in a lot of images from Pinterest to guide my choices, but Betsy also has a lot of images of her work available on her Facebook page and in her shop if you need more assistance with your designs. She was always available over email and in person to discuss designs, which I really appreciated, given how many weddings and events the Plant Shoppe works on.

When you choose your flowers, I recommend asking Betsy and her staff about what is in season. It's good to be flexible with your choices, since not every flower will always be available (though most of the popular options are). Betsy works closely with her supplier to make sure that everything looks great. If you want to get a good sense of your centerpiece arrangements before your wedding, I recommend maybe ordering one or two as a bridal shower arrangement. I did this, and it was a really great way to sample her work and to decorate another event before the big day.

Our wedding was unorthodox. We had a weekend instead of a night. We hosted it at a summercamp that is not normally a wedding venue (we were their first). Our only pervasive theme was our mutual love for various aspects of this beautiful state of ours (Florida). There were no specific color schemes other than natural tones. When my wife met with Betsy to discuss flowers, it was 2.5 hours of my wife explaining exactly how little she likes flowers in the classical sense.

Somehow, from all this, the folks at the Plant Shoppe managed to assemble what I heard referred to by multiple guests on multiple occasions as "The most beautiful spread I've ever seen at a wedding." My wife and I had a particular vision for our wedding, and given it's many unique facets, we were genuinely afraid that vision would not be effectively conveyed. The Plant Shoppe is responsible for assuring that not only was our vision conveyed, but it exceeded every expectation we had coming in.

Betsy's intuition, patience, and creativity, along with the support of her spectacular staff, is beyond the scope of my vocabulary to accurately portray. All I can say is use them, then use them again, then join me in thanking them for nailing your event like true professionals.

Betsy was incredibly helpful in deciding what kind of style we wanted for our floral arrangements. Having no experience whatsoever in decoration, my wife and I only had a vague idea of what we wanted and were next to clueless in how to proceed. Betsy walked us through the details and gave us a great deal of guidance on what looks good with what and how much we would need. I especially appreciated her soft but straight-forward attitude when working with us. Betsy pushed my wife and me through our wishy-washy attitude on the details and nailed down a design that looked amazing on our wedding day. This is all made even more impressive by how smoothly it all went considering my wife and I live in Arizona and had to do 90% of the communication by phone and email (we had a single initial in-person meeting).

I was, and still am, so amazed by the beautiful bouquet that Betsy made for me on my wedding day. It was so much better than I ever imagined! The bridesmaid bouquets, centerpieces, and boutonnières/ corsages were perfect as well. Thank you!!!

The flowers for my wedding were absolutely beautiful! They were better than what I had imagined. I would highly recommend them as the place to go for your flowers for weddings or any occasion. I am very happy I picked this vendor!

Betsy was wonderful. I don't know anything about flowers, but I did know that I wanted something beautiful for our wedding. She helped take a loose vision and make it a stunning reality. When she showed up with my bouquet, I was speechless. The flowers were my favorite detail from the day. Beyond that, she helped me as I planned a wedding from another state AND helped us stay in budget without making any tradeoffs in quality or service. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Betsy was wonderful to work with - I couldn't ask for better. She's thorough, pleasant, reliable, and full of great ideas (thank goodness, because I wasn't!). She made our rehearsal dinner and wedding day flowers an absolutely beautiful addition to the day, and accented other decorations we'd put up in a unique and very sweet way. She was on time, always on top of things, and just a really nice, easy person to work with.

Betsy is not only professional, helpful, and friendly, she's also a master florist. Her arrangements were beautiful -- from the bouquets to the center pieces, every flower was perfect. She knows all the other vendors in town and has worked all the venues, so her experience made our experience that much easier and enjoyable.

Betsy did an AMAZING job on my wedding flowers!!! I probably stressed her out because I have little knowledge of flowers and didn't have a whole lot of direction to give her besides one bouquet picture from Pinterest. Nevertheless, she took the photo and replicated it almost EXACTLY for my bouquet and my bridesmaids' bouquets, and she created a very whimsical assortment of arrangements for the centerpieces and ceremony site just off of that one picture. She's amazing!

I would recommend The Plant Shoppe Florist to everyone! Betsy did a wonderful job. My flowers turned out exactly how I had pictured them. The delivery was on time and she was always easy to get in touch with. They do amazing work!

The Plant Shoppe Florist is the place to go for flowers in Gainesville. We use them for our wedding flowers and we couldn't be more pleased. They have a great staff, great prices, and beautiful flowers!

Betsy, and The Plant Shoppe were extremely supportive with all of the floral and decorative details of our wedding. She guided me through many floral decisions that I had no idea on. (I just think flowers are pretty, ha). I knew I did want anemone flowers. Betsy said that they were extremely expensive right now, so she recommended white daisies and she even styled them to look as close to anemones as possible. No one could tell the difference! Everything came out so much more beautiful than I could have even hoped for. It always seemed that Betsy had our wedding on her mind. She even sent me a couple emails on her own when she spotted something that would be cute for our wedding at Michael's.

Betsy at the Plant Shoppe was so great to work with! I did not have anything planned in what I wanted for the wedding and she really helped me create and solidify a theme that ended having beautiful arrangements and centerpieces! And she even managed to do it all during her crazy Valentine's Day season. I was so appreciative for her hard work and got tons of compliments on our flowers at the wedding. Thanks Betsy!

Betsy was amazing! I went into her shop with a plethora of ideas and she pulled everything together in no time! My fiance and I sent over several dozen revisions and additions to our order and she was also so helpful and excited to help us out. My bouquet turned out absolutely gorgeous.. she used my grandmothers hat pins and charms to decorate the flowers and wrapped the stems in her rosary beads. The boutonnieres were gorgeous and exactly what we imagined and the bridesmaids bouquets were classy, slightly understated and beautiful. Loved everything!

Betsy and all of her lovely helpers were so helpful and creative! They were easily the most stress free part of our wedding. I would recommend no other florist for your big day or any other celebration. Betsy sat with me and hashed out ideas for a while and by then end we has created a more beautiful wedding than I could have dreamed up! She's the real deal!
