I cannot say enough positive things about Kami at WedPortland. She provided us with pre-marital counseling that helped my husband and I immensely! My husband who has never had counseling loved it and we looked forward to every visit! Not only that she created a wedding ceremony for the both of us that was so personal and beautiful. It was so important that our ceremony incorporate our personalities, spirituality, and love together. Kami made that come to life and more! We would recommend her over and over again!

It was an absolute DELIGHT to work with Kami. She was warm, personable and professional when she met with us and asked us what we envisioned for our wedding ceremony. She was flexible, giving us many options and helping us to craft the perfect ceremony, interlacing her own beautiful writing to share our story. She was reliable and officiated our wedding with heart and sincerity. There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd. We are forever grateful to Kami for the magical memories she helped us to create that day.

I cannot begin to express just how satisfied we were with Kami and WedPortland! I must admit that at first I was completely against having a wedding planner. I didn't understand the need for one, didn't think that anyone would understand our offbeat vision and most importantly, didn't think that I could relate to anyone in that profession because I had a certain idea in my mind of what a wedding planner is. I was wrong in so many ways. Kami helped us save money and put together a perfect, customized wedding. We randomly found her on Wedding Wire and got so lucky to have someone we could connect with. She never once made our lesbian wedding feel abnormal or less legitimate than any straight wedding. Her organization, good attitude and open-mindedness, along with her wonderful staff made our wedding the best day of both our lives. Kami was absolutely wonderful, and she helped make our wedding weekend absolutely wonderful. We planned our Oregon wedding while living in another state, and Kami recommended vendors and was great to have as a resource in Oregon, even when we weren't. She met with us when we traveled to Oregon for a pre-wedding visit, went above and beyond with helping us when a family emergency occurred, and was just a positive energy source during our wedding planning. We were very lucky that we hired Kami!

Kami is fantastic, we knew we wanted to hire her as our officiant almost immediately, and she was so friendly and easy to work with. We wanted a unique and non-religious ceremony, and Kami worked with us to make it perfect. She was great about the things we wanted to change and edit, and helped us work in the personal things we wanted. The end result was a ceremony that I felt was professionally constructed, but personally influenced. Our guests and family have commented repeatedly on how much they enjoyed our ceremony, and have said they've never been to a wedding like it.

I cannot say enough great things about Kami. When I first met with her I instantly felt so comfortable with her and felt as though I was meeting with a good friend rather than a buisness meeting. Eventhough we just hired Kami as our officiant she went above and beyond my expectations and was so helpful sending me reccomendations of vendors, reminders of tasks I needed to get done and checking in periodically to see if I needed help with anything. We loved how she catered our ceremony to the way we wanted it and provided different outlines that we could pick and choose from that was very helpful. We recieved so many compliments from our guests about how great she was and we were so thrilled with our ceremony.

Kami at WedPortland was a DREAM to work with! We had a small wedding, but I wanted to be able to relax as much as possible on my wedding day, and Kami made that possible! Any issues were handled before I even knew they existed, and she made decisions so I didn't have to. I interviewed 5 wedding planners before I met Kami, and I was nervous that I wouldn’t find the right one. I am so glad I had a 6th interview, because Kami was perfect! My time with her felt more like chatting with a friend than planning a wedding. She is very no-fuss, funny, helpful, organized, timely, creative, and just an all-around lovely lady! She kept me on track with my budget (I’m under!!!...), thought of things that I never would have even considered, organized my vendors, and took care of every detail imaginable! Kami was the officiant at our daughter's wedding August 11th at Oswego Hills Winery. She worked with the bride and groom for many months in advance, preparing vows specially taylored to them. If you choose WedPortland, you will not be disappointed. WedPortland is flexible with the services they provide, and have a wide variety of packages to purchase. As a former coordinator in the wedding industry, I never thought I would need a wedding planner to help myself and my fiancé get to our wedding date. However, planning and family became overwhelming, and the first person I contacted after we were engaged was Kami! I have been an acquaintance with Kami for the past five years. Kami and the staff at WedPortland stand out among the many wedding planners in the Portland-Metro area.
Kami and WedPortland staff are real, flexible, unbiased, and friendly. Their staff is not pushy to convince you how your wedding should be, but they listen and help you make sure that your wedding is what you and your fiancé want.
WedPortland was amazing with email, phone, and text communication. If a vendor was needed, they were able to suggest multiple vendors, however, did not pressure you to book the vendors if they were not the best fit or if they didn’t fit in your budget.
Best of all, the weeks before the wedding Kami became the main contact with vendors, and creates a beautiful timeline, and décor list; which are both easy to follow and useful!
The day of the event Kami and staff took care of business, and if needed would ask for clarification, however, knew us well enough that if they needed to make an executive decision they were able to and I was happy with anything they did.
The ceremony and reception went seamlessly and was beautiful! They truly made our vision a reality and we could not have been happier! They put in a long day, and worked hard, and they were smiling during it all.
I am happy to say that we not only had a great wedding experience, we came away with a dear friend.

Oh WedPortland, my wedding would have been a very dreary thing indeed had it not been for you. Sure it would have been a happy occasion, but it would not have been half as awesome had I not worked with Kami for the wedding.

When I started working with Kami, it was on their budget plan which could easily be interpreted on paper as "I get you started and then you're mostly on your own". However, this is not how it turned out in reality. Kami is amazingly responsive and helpful in pretty much anything related to a wedding and went absolutely above and beyond in helping us get our wedding planning running.

I became a WedPortland convert at a moment of crisis where I was dealing with a venue meltdown (which eventually ended with my cancelling my event at my original venue that I had picked before meeting Kami) and having to start from scratch and find a new one. Kami became my biggest support and advocate as I went through my search for a new venue and eventually found (and booked) a venue that was perfect. This could have been a disaster, but with the guidance of Kami we sailed through and had an amazingly successful wedding.

At this point, Kami became our new day-of coordinator and she was absolutely perfect at this role. Organized, take-charge, and calming when sticky situations arose. I can't imagine what my day would be without her.

Lo-and-behold WedPortland popped up. What a twist of fate! I contacted Kami and immediately I felt she "got it." Brie and I had been engaged for at least two years without much progress in our wedding preparations. Not even a date was set. After so much time, we decided a wedding planner was absolutely necessary to get the ball rolling. When we scoured for planners and found you, we knew you would fit our needs best. You didn't judge us on our tastes, our budget, or our uncertainty on what we wanted for our wedding. Instead, you helped guide through ideas and choices, and we wound up learning what we did picture for our special day.

As the days, weeks, and months progressed, you helped us find and book all the little details we needed for our big day. You prioritized our tasks, and tactfully pestered us to get them done in good time. Whenever it was time to find a vendor, or decide on venue arrangements, you were very thorough in giving us the fine details so that we could make an informed decision. Whenever we had questions, you responded promptly. Whenever we had to work on a blank slate, you always had ideas and suggestions to keep us moving. Our wedding planning with you felt so smooth and easy, I can't imagine why it generally sounds so stressful and difficult for anyone else.

When the wedding day finally came, you surprised us with how well you handled our guests and how well you worked with all our vendors. Our family and friends were very impressed with how the wedding turned out. There was not one hitch on our big day, and the only stress we felt was about handling the crying at the alter. We all had a blast!

We may not know how much preparation or hard work you had to do to be so good at your job, but thank you so much for making our day! You were a ton of fun to work with!
